I recently moved to Mount Airy and I booked a blow out with John. John made my hair look awesome and the blow out lasted for 4 days! John gave me many new tips on preserving my blowout for as many days as possible. As an added bonus, my experience from start to finish was excellent: very friendly and accommodating when booking, welcoming when I arrived, friendly text message to remind me of my appointment, my stylist was on time, and my checkout process was courteous and efficient. Great experience! I will definitely go back!

Had a massage from TIM yesterday and I had to give him some cred. I am a massage junky and he did a phenomenal job. He paid attention to every detail I gave him on my lifestyle and incorporated different methodologies of massage rather than the typical rub rub oil oil. I highly recommend Tim for a massage and the spa is a great atmosphere as well, they genuinely care about your experience.

Great hair service. I generally knew that I wanted to go shorter, but wasn’t sure how short or styling options. My stylist(I’m blanking on her name, darn it!) was fantastic about talking to me about what I wanted, what my typical routine is like, how much time I have, etc. She was also very friendly. Afterwards, because this was my first visit, she showed me around to the other service areas. Updated 4⁄15: I recently took friends from out of town and had a fabulous time. Between the four of us, there was a body treatment, two massages and a facial. Natasha and Tim(my apologies, I’m pretty sure that was his name but I didn’t have him) took great care of us and everyone walked out raving about how great their service was. None of us are new to spas and all agreed this was a great place. Our appointments were staggered — keep in mind this isn’t a high-volume facility — and it was nice to chill in the relaxation area while we waited our turns. I’ve already been told that they next time we all get together in Mt. Airy, we have to come back.

good experience with nails, bad experience with hair. Basically spent $ 240 for nothing, my hair had to be cut short because of damage and i’m the same color i started out. sucks

I used to go to another multi-service salon, for pedicures, in downtown Mt. Airy and became dissatisfied with the lack of service and skill. I tried A Do or Dye at the recommendation of a friend. Again, I’ve only gotten pedicures there, but I love it. The customer service is great. And, it truly has a spa feel to it. I’ve taken friends for birthdays and my mom for Mother’s Day. I’ve recommended it to friends who continue to go back. I would definitely say to give it a try!

I read the review before mine and decided to give it a try. First, I thought it was difficult to find because it is on the second floor and its best not to park on street to avoid a ticket(maximum 2 hr parking on street). When I walked in the salon, I was very excited because it looked like a really nice and cool salon. They had all types of services available, all in one place! You can get a mani/pedi, facials, eye lash extensions, massages, hair and makeup! What else can you ask for? So, your wondering why I gave it two stars? Well, my hairstylist had 2 years max experience. She sat me down and asked me several questions about what I want and my ultimate goal. I was excited that she wanted to take her time to really understand. She colored my hair and I was happy about everything until she blow dry my hair. I was expecting her to do a great job but she rushed and was eager to finish quickly. Some parts of my hair was still wet, but that didn’t matter because my 2 hour was up and it was time to pay. I don’t know about you but I do my job start to finish. Will I go back? Nope.

The quality of the experience has gone downhill since I started going over a year ago and I vow not to return due to the unprofessional and utterly pretensious attitude of some of the stylists. I was made to feel very uncomfortable when I called to schedule an appointment and told that I would have a hard time booking since I missed my last appointment(which, I was told was not available when I made said appointment but then was left a voice message just before they closed the day before stating that an availablity had come available. Since this time did not work for me and i did not have a chance to call and not accept(something I should not have to do anyway).they marked me as a no-show and thus repremanded when I called to schedule. Go somewhere who will appreciate your business.

OMG — can you say AMAZING! I’m not much of a «spa» kind of girl, but A Do or Dye is the only way I’ll go from now on! From the minute I walked in the door, every person in there was über-nice! The place was immaculate and very nicely decorated. Amanda is bordering on genuis — I walked in with a mop on my head and some pictures in hand. She took the time to listen to what I was a looking for(which I might add was a BIG change) and gave her advice after listening to me and looking over the pictures I brought with me. She was great and I couldn’t be more pleased with my hair. There was no pressure to do all kinds of treatments(although I did do a clarifying treatment) or to purchase tons of products — which I loved. She gave her input as to what she used on me and what I could use at home and that was it. She even talked me back from color that she didn’t think I needed, instead of full color and highlights, she recommended just partial highlights to make my hair look«sunkissed». I could go on and on but I’ll just leave it with, nice people, beautiful salon, and undeniable ability! I can’t wait to get my next treatment — think I’ll go mani + pedi! :)
