Be warned that if offered the spicy BBQ sauce, its no Stubbs spicy, its like 4 star Thai spicy! It tasted good, but I left crying. In general I like this place. I hope they step it up a little during Oktoberfest though with their food. I can understand having mediocre offerings in a town of 3500 the rest of the year. There is one bartender that is just a straight up you know what. I went in one night during the week, not very busy and so rudely interrupted her chatting with regulars by ordering a drink. She said that will be $ 6.50 and took my money before even pouring it. Get rid of her and the place would be a just fine small town bar. The rest of the staff is really friendly!

The selection is always great. I have to say though it’s easy to tell that the owner doesn’t give a crap. They serve old beer and the food is marginal. They really have something here that could be a destination. It they lean to the locals and sell bud light in cans.

Very cool sports bar in Mt Angel. The beer selection is great. The owners go to great lengths to ensure they serve the most recent and tastiest beers. They really know their stuff. The food I good too. The steak sandwich is killer and the portions are generous.

My business partner and I were in Mount Angel sampling all of the local offerings when we were sent to the BierHaus on a recommendation, and here are my findings… The bartender was a nice young lady who greeted us with a smile and offered up some info on the current taplist, my partner and I grabbed a couple cold ones and sat down for some business chat. We did not eat, however I caught a glimpse of the fryer and kitchen — doesn’t appear that there is a strong emphasis on food here. The beer selection was great, there was a little something for everyone. I found the Ambience very different that the German name suggest, there is nothing old or modern time Bavarian about this place — it resembles a typical bar as far as asthetics go. BOTTOMLINE: If you want a cold beer in Mount Angel, this is the best option we found.

Went to the Bierhaus for dinner, luckily we went tonight because if we had went yesterday they would have been out of pretty much everything. The smoker wasn’t running tonight so what they are known for we weren’t able to try. I got a Cheeseburger with Bacon and Fries. It was your typical bar burger. My sister got the Oktoberfest Sausage and enjoyed it. Will have to come back some time when the smoker is working(I assume weekends only).

Yes-they have alot of good beer on tap BUT-the food is terrible!!! Don’t expect much-well I guess the tots were ok but they are hard to screw up. No ranch, no hot sauce and since when does pulled pork smell like peanutbutter??? Drink the beer but stay clear of the food!!!

German beer; German town; best Oktoberfest in Oregon. I’m sold, Mt. Angel. Several German beers on tap and German décor. Seems to be the only bar in town with so many German varieties year round. I’m a fan. Do they have food? Yes, but I didn’t try any this time. I’m here for beer and that they have. The menu lists sausage and kraut as well as the Mt. Angel Berliner sandwich. Really? Is this the same one sold during OFest? I hope so. I may be back solely for this. No that’s not true. I’ll be back, but it’ll be for the bier.
