I arrived with a bachelorette party of 15 women, and it was a wonderful, enjoyable, and relaxing experience from the beginning! The staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful! $ 15/person for tasting and lovely cheese platter too! For our party, we were seated in a dining area and we were walked through each wine tasting. It is a beautiful venue with scenic views, especially in the winter time. The vineyard is only a 30 minute drive from the Massanutten Resort area, so I would highly recommend it! Great selection of wines and delicious mulled wine!

This place is amazing! We were in the area and just happened to see the sign and stopped in! Wow! Breathtaking views and a perfect venue for a wedding or event! The staff was very knowledgable and fun fun fun! We sampled for or five wines and loved them all! It was hard to choose just one to have that day! We will definitely be back and I drop hints to my daughters about having a wedding there!

Well I love wine tasting here, the dessert wine is my favorite. If you are wanting to take a date this is a perfect place to go in the summer. We thought about having our wedding here, but ended up not having it here due to the poor customer service. Since then they have hired a new person to handle their events. When I voiced my concern I received the customer service I have come to know and love from my visits there. It sounds like their new team is really on top of things. I did think the price was high, but it the most beautiful vineyard in the area!

I recently met up with a group of young college women, that I mentor occasionally, for a tour and lunch after receiving a Groupon offer that we couldn’t resist. We had reservations and they were expecting us which made us feel good right from the beginning. The tour guide was great. She was personable, knowledgeable, and very patient with four ladies who like to find the funny in everything. She even joined in to make it more enjoyable as well as took countless pictures of us at our request! After the tour, we purchased one wine flight each and took it in to lunch with us. We enjoyed our lunch very much and spent some time in the front where we did some Christmas shopping. They have some delightful and different items there from wine glasses to earrings that I just had to have. We all had a really great fun time together before the gals left college for Christmas break! I gave it four stars instead of five because they do not really have much room in the dining area and I would hate to thing how disappointing it would have been if there had been very many people there that day. Maybe there was another room of tables somewhere but, if so, we didn’t see them and we were lucky to find two small tables to pull together. They knew we were going to have lunch there but there wasn’t any thought of making sure we had a place to sit. Lunch was not included on the Groupon, so maybe that is why they didn’t do that, but once they found out we intended to take our wine flights in to dine, they maybe should have seen to it that we had a place to sit together. It’s just a thought. It worked out for us, but it could have been a real downer if it hadn’t. Also, we got there at noon for our tour and less than a hour later we were seated for lunch but already they were out of three of the entrees which seemed odd because we really didn’t see very many other people there. Maybe because it was an off season middle of the week visit, they just didn’t stock up, but that was also a bit disappointing. What we had was good but it wouldn’t have been our first choice, since two of us had already been there and were talking up the menu! All in all, it was worth every penny and I would definitely go back, but I would ask that they make sure we have a table large enough for us to have lunch together and they try to see that what is on the menu is available when it is pretty much right in the middle of the noon hour.

Came here using the Groupon on our honeymoon. The location was fabulous, even in December. I also loved every single wine I tried, which has never happened! Jul, who led our tour was knowledgeable and friendly as well. Highly recommend!

I was in Massanutten for a week and we loved this place so much we came back twice! The vineyard is beautiful and makes you feel like you’re in another country. Their Joy White is my favorite so I purchased a bottle and a bottle of the Joy Red to bring back home. The first day we ordered the artichoke, spinach, crab dip(I believe) and it was just OK. Our last night at Massanutten we came back to watch the sunset over a flight of wine. Beautiful vineyard.

This place first caught our eye because of the STUNNING views we know it had. And stunning it was. Just the views alone are enough to take a trip here. I can only imagine how beautiful it must be to take pictures here for special events such as a wedding. I did have a glass a wine, but in all honestly, it is hard for me to review wine since I do not drink it that much. It tasted fine to me! However my party and I really enjoyed our purchase of the flights, that we were allowed to carry outside with us to a beautiful table, where we could then order food from the Bistro. I saw mixed reviews on here for the bistro food… but I have to say… everything we ordered was fantastic. Specifically, the brie fondue was one of my favorite cheese dishes/fondues I have ever ever have. We still talk about that dish! This was the perfect afternoon to share with friends!

What a wonderful winery. My wife and I love this place. We visit every time we come to our timeshare in massanauten. The view is breathtaking but the wine steals the show. We like the dryer wines but the port style wine is also one of my favorites. We live in a climate that gets snow. Sipping the tavern wine by the fire as the snow falls is on of my favorite things to do. I highly recommend visiting when you are in the area.

My husband and I decided to try a vineyard for our wedding anniversary. Cross Keys was pretty easy to find traveling from Massanutten Resort. The entrance to the vineyards are absolutely stunning!!! I had to hop out and take a picture. The staff at the vineyard was very friendly and welcoming. For our tour we had Debbie. She was very engaging and friendly. The tour was short but worth it. I just wished she shared more basic info for those really not that familiar with the wine making process. The tasting was fun. We decided to try the whites and desert wines. Loved the Apple, Fiore and Joy White(of course the sweet ones). For lunch we decided to try their bistro restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food was great! I had the crab spinach artichoke dip with bread and my husband had the brie fondue with blackberries… delicious. Overall good experience and would recommend.

Wonderful variety of wines. I love their Cabernet franc. The food is good, too. We had Sunday brunch there today and it was excellent. I had eggs Benedict Chesapeake, made with crab cakes… it was delicious!

Made it to cross keys for dinner and then went back for a tour and tasting. Very beautiful property. The vineyard has some what of a villa looking patio where you can eat outside, enjoy the view and listen to entertainment. The food was very Good and found out they grow lots of their own veggies so that’s probably why. The staff was very nice and helpful. I even remember the waiter Stewart when we went back for the tour the next day(I’m terrible with names). Finally the wine was pretty good for the most part. Enjoyed the Joy White for dinner. With the tasting I enjoyed there reds more especially the specialty desert and Merlot. I’d love to come back when I visit harrisonburg.

My boyfriend and I wanted to go to a Vineyard for our anniversary and we looked around and decided to try this one. We have never been to one so we thought it would be nice. I was so impressed with how beautiful and peaceful it was. The people there were really polite and friendly. We tried a few wines and had food also. It was delicious! I would 100% recommend this. It is a far drive from the DC area but so worth it. We will definitely be back.

Average winery. I can’t speak to whether this is good for the area as it was the only one I visited on my short trip and from my own personal experiences this good — not bad but definitely not great. The wines were decent. I thought the reds lacked any sack — easy drinking but left me craving more. I preferred the whites with the 2014 Chardonnay my favorite. The estate is beautiful albeit a bit out of place for Virginia. Our tour guide, while definitely a wine connoisseur, lacked some of the technical details to the fermentation and bottling process. Where I really feel the vineyard feel short was at the Bistro. Expectations were set high for the chef from our tour guide and the staff. Our charcuterie plate was a decent quantity but definitely under delivered and lacked creativity. The cheeses were good but everything else seemed to be straight out of the package. The brie dish with(I’m hoping) homemade bread was good — even the hundreds of flys around our table thought so. But for the $$, I expected a little more. All in all we had a good time and enjoyed the sunshine. Stop by if you have time but I wouldn’t make a special trip.

Beautiful views from a spectacular stone patio that are well-stocked with a variety of seating outdoors. Large tasting room and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great selections from sweet, semi-sweet, to bold, dry wines. Flights are also available, as well as tours of the vineyard. Event bookings too.

Upon driving up we were impressed with the size of the main building and the rolling hills and vineyards, it’s all beautiful! But then we noticed a huge charter bus and were worried they might be busy. Once inside, we were happy to see that the bus didn’t seem to impact how busy they were as the people who came via bus were in a room. There’s plenty of room to spread out at this winery, which is nice. What we didn’t like was the amount of wines they had with sweetness to them, we prefer dry wines. Plus, the young girl doing our tasting was very blah. she didn’t smile and didn’t seem to care that we(or other guests) were there. So, we just paid the $ 6(or so) for a basic tasting and left. Go to Bluestone — service is much better; it’s a lot smaller, but the people are friendlier and they value your business.

Not a big fan of the wine for the price, to me lacked actual flavor was just kinda every day run of the mill. For the views and the scenery I expected more. Very upscale place, almost felt like you were looked down on for being there.

My girlfriend and I attended crosskeys winery for Valentine’s Day and partook in the full tasting. As expecting on 2 – 14 it was crowded, the employees were nice and welcoming. It was hard for them to be super personable due to the volume and I totally understand that. It’s winter and seldom is scenery beautiful but I can see this vineyards appearance becoming jaw dropping come spring. My two gripes with this winery are one I simply didn’t like most of their wine, and two you’re charged for wine crackers! Wine crackers are quite possibly the best part of wine tasting and my girlfriend always makes fun of me for it but the crackers are great and help cleanse your pallet between wines. Anyway it’s a nice winery with no crackers and expensive wine. If you go and savor sweet win make sure to try the Ali d’oro, it’s adult grape juice!

Experience: Not great experience. Came here with the intention of buying several cases but got relatively poor service. The saving grace was the beautiful man who was conducting the wine tasting(blonde, tall well dressed in gingham and pullover sweater). We came in, paid for a full wine tasting waited 25 mins(there was no line) as ppl who were there after started wine tasting began… walked up to the bar and got service from the lively man mentioned above and enjoyed our experience. Avoid the guy with dark hair(at the time in gingham) and esp avoid the very petite brunette(wearing black and lace) because they will spend the majority of the time discussing there own issue in the background of your wine tasting… I say this with emphasis: avoid the petite brunette female Wine: very fruity, many are sweet; best in my opinion Petite Verdot and Pinot Nior. Ambience: small warm and inviting tasting room and nice, very large terrace outside. This might be a great summer winery.
