A real treat! Charming, comfortable, unique and eclectic only begins to describe Norm’s Palette. Relax and enjoy a nice selection of libations along with a well prepared and presented limited menu. And be sure to say hi to Norm!

We’ve been a couple of times now and it’s just OK. The food is average; the wine and beer selection is decent. Great décor and very comfortable. The bartender doesn’t seem thrilled to be there. Norm however seems like a nice guy.

We really enjoy Norm’s. Super laid back and perfect for a night hanging out with friends or family. Incredibly welcoming place and staff. We really enjoying going to Norm’s when we’re in town!

The vibe is very hippy and norm seems more like a buddy then a proprietor. If you are in a hurry go elsewhere because norm is hosting a party of friends not patrons. He is warm and welcoming and makes you feel like you have been coming here for years. The art work(which is for sale) is interesting. Now the downfalls. The menu is very very limited and there was a group of women in the lounge area with an obnoxious laugh and the worse potty mouth ever. As norm was sitting with them and a young girl of about 8 had come in I think it’s his responsibility to quiet down the cursing. I’m not a Puritan but I believe there is a time and a place for those kind of words an a public restaurant is not one of them. I had a caprese sandwich which was good but I had really wanted dinner

This is a small bar with a few snacks and decent wine and beer selection. You won’t find many places like this near Mt. Dora, they have live music sometimes and you can sit in few different areas. It’s owned and operated by a gentleman who seems to be very hospitable to all of the patrons.

Very unique place in Mt Dora. The owner, also the chef and an artist was very welcoming and so nice to talk to. The clams were absolutely sensational! Great place for amazing tapas and wine/beer. It was a bit hard to find but so worthy! We would go back for more! Check out the Dark Knight painting all the way in the back, Norm did such a great job!

nothing could have been a more charming fun and exciting evening… The funky house… the concept of the painting with a lovely glass in hand… Norm himself… charming, full of fun… professional…What a clever concept… The tapas… devine…who would not want to stop in when visiting or living in Mt Dora… A must place to visit. Thank you for a great evening.

How did I not review Norm’s yet? See I’m blonde and I forget sometimes. I’d been walking by Norm’s for years now and it’s always had a welcoming, inviting vibe. There are several seating areas — outside, nooks and crannies inside, and at the bar. Art abounds throughout and Norm holds painting classes. The night I went, a class was just starting. How cool to have great wine, tapas and paint, right? It’s familial, funky and filled with positive vibes. Definitely check out.

Eclectic, artsy, 60s ish, — this place is all this and more. All they have is wine, a couple of beers and some tapas… But it’s the atmosphere, the feel of the place and the people you’ll meet that make it so unique. Norman is an artist and has his stuff on every wall. There is usually an acoustic guitarist playing. You just can’t beat the atmosphere as welcoming, laid back and… just cool. you need to look for the place because it’s off the main drag — but if you wander down Baker St to 3rd., you’ll find it in the big building on the corner. Trust Me — visit, have a glass of wine and watch the crowd — it’s the best treat in town; and it won’t cost you a fortune.

This place is a gem in Mount Dora. We came here on a whim and we were glad we discovered this place. As soon, as we walked in a man introduced himself as Norm, the owner of the bar and shook our hands. He was very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere of the place is very artistic, Norm paints a lot of what is in there. The vibe is eclectic. I like that there was no menu, instead Norm asked us what we were in the mood for and what he could whip up. We ended up getting the clams which were delicious and a Mozzarella Caprese salad. Both were pretty filling for two and freshly and excellently prepared. Beer selection is limited, but is very inexpensive. We ended up going back there later in the evening with friends. Norm is a great guy and gives great free hugs! I wish this place the best of success and look forward to going there again!

Cool, artistic, comfortable place. We went with another couple to have a few drinks and I was impressed the moment we walked through the door. It was slow, likely due to it being a week night combined with Mount Dora destroying the roads in the name of progress. We were greeted by the owner right away who was very welcoming and a very interesting guy to talk to. Lots of cozy couches and lots to look at if appreciate art. Ok beer and wine selection. We will definitely be going back. Excellent outdoor seating as well.

Not a bad little spot for a glass of wine of beer. I have yet to try their food so I’ll be back on an update once that happens but I can give kudos for being open later than most places in Mt. Dora are on weekend nights!

Norm is a wonderful host at this great Tapas Bar. The wine selection is constantly updated with great finds I likely would not otherwise have tried. The food is very good try the cheese plate; Norms homemade almonds Rock. This is my favorite spot for drinks in Mt.Dora.

I like this place– VERY eclectic, I feel like I am guest in Norm’s home and he’s having a party! The wine selection is incredible and if you have an issue making a choice, they are extremely good about recommending one you’ll like. The layout and décor is like someone’s home, with a nice bar right in the middle of it! The crowd can be eclectic as well, it’s a very laid back place with a wonderful vibe. This is a happy place!

This place is cool! A neat mix of chillout lounge and artist studio. When you walk in you see a small bar on your left, a ‘living room’ studio on the right. As you continue in, the small rooms open up on either side, comfortably furnished with lamps, pillows, and deep couches. Paintings and murals line the walls, inviting you to stop and look. Out favorite room is in the back left. It’s cozier than the others and – being a social person this is cool – the bathroom entrance is there. It’s awesome chatting with people about what they think and what they’re drinking. It’s amazing how many people actually sit down a spell :) Offerings are beer, wine and light fare: salads, cheese plates, etc. and they vary depending on availability. Norm is more than happy to tell you about what he’s picked up recently and what’s his favorite. Every room has a small monitor/TV and, on Mondays, artists paint in the front room and are projected to all rooms. Such a neat idea! This place is completely different from any other place in Mount Dora and I really hope it makes it. It’s kinda hard to find, but try it. If you’re into a chill atmosphere, you’ll be a happy camper.
