We had lunch at Scott’s Country Café because we were already out there for the corn maze. I met some friends that were coming from a different direction and this was the easiest thing to do for lunch. I got there at 1 pm, they opened at 12 pm, and there was a very long line. As soon as my friends pulled into the parking lot I hopped in line. There was one window to order at and 1 person taking orders. It took a little while to get through the line, but once they took our orders it was less than 5 minutes until our food was ready. Their menus is very short and simple — 3 sandwiches with a variety of sides, a couple desserts, and drinks. I ordered the Marcel block sandwich with corn chowder and corn on the cob for sides. The veggies were definitely the stars of the show! The sandwich was nothing impressive, but the veggies on it were great! It was one of the tastiest tomatoes I’ve had in awhile. The corn on the cob was delish and left me wanting to buy some from the market before heading home. Unfortunately the corn chowder wasn’t anything to brag about and it was cold. It was an okay lunch and it was convenient, so it worked out. It was nice to be able to sit outside to eat when the weather was so nice, but seating is a bit confusing. There are tables right by where you order but those tend to get crowded by the long line. There are a whole mess of picnic tables available, but they are on the other side of the building and there is no signs telling you that.
