Service is beyond amazing, everyone is very nice. Food is decent for what you pay. I would go there again. They could clean up the place a bit though.

This place is great! The waitress(and owner, from what I’ve read on other reviews) is very friendly, and very funny! I got the burger with bacon, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had in my life. My wife had the grilled cheese, and she loved that as well. We will be back for sure!

Ray’s Deli Café is a throw back kind of place. It sits at the bottom of High Street where it butts into Mill Street in Mount Holly, NJ. Ray is the chief cook and bottle washer, and his better half runs the front of the house. She is a stitch, with a load of funnies to crack, followed by a horse(hoarse) laugh that is infectious. The house itself feels rather dark, with a small counter toward the back where I settled in earlier this week for breakfast. Perhaps more lighting would dispel the sense that the back area needs a thorough cleaning. Still, the coffee was strong and plentiful, and the French Toast available as a Short Stack, which was all I wanted. Ray came out to the grill to prepare the meal. The dish was decent, if a little«eggy,» around the edges. My compliment to the chef was met with a smile before he retreated back to his enclave. Ray’s is a place with some old world charm, but a bit disheveled. The prices are in line with the atmosphere, so there is definitely a deal to be made on an inexpensive meal. Still, Mt. Holly is a happening place this century, and there are more than a few better stops for a memorable morning meal. I would return, but not anytime soon.

We tried Ray’s for the first time last weekend, and I can’t say enough great things about the food. We had breakfast, and the omelets were packed with toppings and cooked to perfection. The potatoes were probably the best we ever had anywhere. The breakfast meats were excellent quality and full of flavor. Kathy and Ray were friendly and welcoming. Four of us ate very full plates of food for $ 28 — well worth every penny! There was pork on the smoker which smelled amazing. We can’t wait to return and try it out — possibly for taco happy hour!

We’ve been to Rays a few times now and it has always been consistent; delicious food and warm, friendly service. Everything we had was good and our kids loved earring here and it’s very family friendly. Their blueberry pancakes are beyond AMAZING. If that wasn’t enough, they give the best military discount. We will definitely be back!

Great family owned and operated restaurant. Kathy is very welcoming and friendly. The food was exceptional and so was the hospitality. All at a great price on top of that.

When you are looking for a home cooked meal, be sure to leave time and room for great food at a great price. Owner Ray prepares the food using Jersey fresh ingredients and Dietz & Watson meats and cheeses. This is our second visit here. We so enjoyed the food from our first visit. The breakfast and fish tacos are delicious. The stuffed french toast is artfully presented and you get to decide the sweetness by adding syrup. The Princeton salad is a very generous mix of baked ham, roasted turkey, swiss cheese, chopped eggs and tomatoes over a bed of varied lettuces. We plan to come back and try other items on the menu and support local business!

The food at Ray’s is pretty good. I had the ribeye sandwich. They have reasonable portions and are very generous with their fries. The atmosphere is very casual, relaxed, and simple. I plan to come back and try their turkey hoagie, Ray’s style.

There is this wasteland of culinary wonder in this part of the state. Whether we have tried fine dining or classic American food, generally speaking, eating out in Burlington county is hard for us. We generally either leave the area to eat out, or stick to a few choice spots that we found over the years, but we were short on time and looking for something new. So with my son on vacation and my infant in tow, I head to Unilocal and try to find something. I came across the reviews for Ray’s and aside from one –to go– order showing up in the shape that all –to go– orders do, I was hopeful. We got there on off hours and the place was spotless and unassuming. The menu was not extensive but this is really the«I am in the mood for»…kind of place. We chose a seat and were introduced to the owners. The woman offered my daughter a cookie and gave me plenty of time to decide what I wanted. I did not wait one more minute. This to me has always been a sign that the staff cares. They are not intrusive but there when you need them. My coffee never ran empty and not once was my conversation interrupted to ask if I wanted more coffee. She tended to us with grace and experience… YES, in a sandwich shop. :D While two different grilled cheese sparked my interest, hubby and I both decided on burgers and fries. We also got a side of onion rings. When I start complaining about just how bad food is in this part of New Jersey, my friends call to attention the fact that I am a food snob. I don’t really think that is true. I enjoy a well made burger as much as I would the tasting menu at whichever«hot new spot» we decide to try. For the benefit of this post, lets go with food snob. The coffee was full flavored and what you would expect in this price range. The buns were warm and fresh and the meat cooked perfectly to our liking. The onions and mushrooms were fresh sliced and grilled just prior to serving, and though I did not let the owner know, I think I figured out what her secret ingredient is. :) It is worth going in and trying to guess. Their attention to detail really impressed me. «Hand cut fries» don’t usually preempt the occasional black spot or soft piece, but it did here. Every potato was beyond even my harsh criticism and they were seasoned perfectly.(Yes, I travel with vials of dipping spices when I eat Italian and Fry spices when I go to burger joints, no I did not open it. While I did not speak too much to the man on the grill who I assume was Ray, his wife was a breath of fresh air. We chatted it up and had a really great burger and exceptional french fries. The total bill was less than 20 dollars. It was a very nice afternoon and as soon as my son gets home from his travels, I am going back for that Prosciutto Di Parma grilled cheese!

We order from here all the time at work, food is tasty and cheap. Hoagies, Burgers, fries, breakfast sandwich, hot sandwiches, and salads all are good. Want something thats not on the menu or cooked differently ask away and they are more then accommodating. Only downside is the hashbrowns can be a little overcooked, but next time we asked to cook them less and problem solved.

Wanted to give this place a second Chance for Breakfast; so I did an office order. Very disappointed. The toast was soggy and untoasted. Home fries were burnt greasy chips. Sausage looked like a hamburger patty. Disgusted. I will never order again.

I took my son in to eat eat today, we had the Turkey Grilled Sandwich and French fries. The sandwich was delicious. We ordered fries, because my son is 19 months old and loves ketchup, and they were really great home-style fries. The staff, as always, was very friendly. I recommend the Turkey Grilled Sandwich or the Chicken Cesar salad.
