In today’s world more and more small businesses are opening because of their love for all things food. More places are giving back to the community and getting involved with local food enthusiasts. White Jasmines owner, Huma Siddiqui, is no stranger to this and I feel she goes above and beyond. It is clear to see she shares a passion and love for food and wants to share that with the world. Today I had the great honor of going to a taping of her cooking show, Everyday Cooking. She opened the doors and showed us her world of food magic. There was no fancy sound system that simulates crowd applause, they was no TV food magic where she opens the oven and a 5 hour dishes is ready. There was however, hands on, right in front of you, smells lingering through the air cooking. Huma made such a wonderful dish for us today. A White Jasmine chili using her own spices and cheese, which she sells by the way. From start to finish it was all prepared right in front of us. So many amazing spices, fresh ingredients and a friendly atmosphere made for a wonderful experience. Along with the chilli she made a White Jasmine cheese bread with fresh peppers on top. The bread was fresh, the cheese was delicious and the peppers added a nice extra crunch I can’t begin to tell you how nice and welcoming Huma is which only adds to an already amazing product line. Be sure to look for white Jasmine cheese and spices in the stores. I promise you will not be disappointed. Rumor has it she also has a cook book ;)
