This is not your typical Chinese food restaurant, so don’t expect that when you come in. Everything is delightfully different. Its a FUSION restaurant so the dishes are blended, rather than being a typical order of chinese food. Their ingredients are seriously fresh! We love to get the mango chicken, veggie fried rice and sesame chicken. Everything is always so so delicious. Friendly and helpful staff.

Friendly service and nice venue. Took about 10 minutes to get food. The rice was slightly undercooked but all around the food was good. Would recommend.

My first few visits were pretty decent. Then they expanded the menu and added sushi. To me, a giant menu isn’t usually a good thing. Also they didn’t have white rice on my last visit and the Yummy Pork was anything but… Still probably the best Asian food in this little town but that ain’t saying much.

These guys were great. Awesome service, great food. And the Sushi was surprisingly good for PA. They even made a custom roll for me and it’s freaking awesome! The«Graham Roll» is: Tempura shrimp, avocado, cream cheese and cucumber inside, topped with fresh tuna, fresh salmon, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Tell them Graham sent you. You won’t be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a shot, since we were looking for an Asian food restaurant in the Mount Joy area. Like another review had mentioned, I was a little weary walking in to an empty restaurant, but hey — it was a Wednesday! I opted for their Pad Thai and a Volcano Roll… which was part of their 50% off special. I really enjoyed my Pad Thai, but both my boyfriend and I LOVED their Volcano Roll sushi. My boyfriend orders that EVERY time we get sushi, but we’re both convinced this was the best one we’ve ever had. My boyfriend ordered steak and scallops as his main meal and would not shut up about how fantastic it was. We will be there again soon for this, I’m sure. Lastly, I’ll comment on the service. The waitress was very attentive… filled our drinks when they were running low, made sure we had necessary condiments at our table, etc. After learning this was our first trip to Koomo since we have only lived in the area a month, she brought us complimentary mochi ice cream. That was great too! I would certainly recommend this place to someone, even if you solely wanted sushi!

I am confused by the other reviewers… did they not eat the same food we were served? The starter salad should have been an indicator, as it was drenched in ginger dressing — drenched, as in we poured it out of the bowl in an attempt to eat the lettuce & carrots. The sushi platter was abundant, but the sushi was mealy. There were zero chunks of meat; everything was ground with filler & unable to be identified. Very disappointing. The hibashi was a complete disappointment. The sauce was some sort of gravy & it had broken, so there was a large portion of oil on the plate. The veggies were over cooked & very limp. As we left, my husband said, «That was possibly the worst meal I have ever been served.» So… we won’t be going back!

My girlfriend and I came here for the first time on a Saturday night. It was empty at 7 pm… first red flag. There was one waitress/hostess and one sushi chef working. We ordered sushi and red curry after an extremely awkward and painful conversation with the waitress/hostess who was completely clueless. Take-out callers were told that their orders would take awhile because they were really busy even though only 3 of 8 tables were seated. We ordered a couple sushi rolls and red curry. The curry was served on a flat plate and was sub-par. The sauce itself was bland even though I asked for it to be extra spicy. The vegetables were undercooked and the tofu had an odd consistency. Sushi was mediocre and the fish and ginger tasted old. Won’t be returning here and would not recommend this establishment. We really wanted this place to be good because Asian cuisine options are slim to none in Mount Joy. There are much better options in the Lancaster area. I’m not sure how/why people are giving this place five star reviews… maybe we hit a really(really!) off night.

Great sushi!!! Made in house. Definitely worth the trip here. Check it out. Also try the Mochi Ice cream. Very different — light, cool and refreshing.

Good food, but(1) pricey and(2) rude service … The wife charged me $ 2 extra for a lunch special even after I pointed it out to her. She acted like she didn’t understand me. Not coming back.

Great food… Great friendly service. And a new menu which now includes sushi… But only one cook. who does both Chinese cuisine & sushi. That being said, I called in for take out, got here and waited another 20 minutes for food. Which btw was good. But it was slow! Need another chef…

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our sushi from Koomo. The selection was extensive for the size & neighborhood of the restaurant. My boyfriend had never had red bean ice cream before, but I’m pretty sure it’s his new favorite now. I was a little disappointed by the presentation though. There was no soy sauce included with our takeout. We ordered 3 different rolls, but there was minimal wasabi or ginger. Our moochi was still wrapped in plastic.

Highly recommend! I have this little place a try because they offered Hibachi style food. I was not disappointed The food was fantastic, generous portions & even the take out was packaged with presentation. Their Ginger dressing is hands down the best I have ever tasted. Everything was fresh & prepared the way I asked. The sauce with the crab Rangoon was delicious, not your typical bright red sweet & sour, but a fresh homemade version with bits of citrus. Staff was so courteous & friendly, I can say I will probably stick to here when it comes to takeout. Must try!

Over the last 2 ½ months, we have either eaten in or ordered take out at least 8 times. They never disappoint. The wait staff is the sweetest and the cooks know what they are doing. The food is always fast and delicious. I am eating the shrimp pad thai right now. It is sooooo good. The fiancé loves their seafood soup. This is our favorite restaurant around.

Delicious food and friendly staff. I would recommend to any one who enjoys Chinese or Japanese cuisine. Vegetables and salad were very fresh and Miso soup had a tasty but delicate flavor. It’s great to have a good Asian restaurant in Mount Joy! Recommend the Shrimp! Hibachi dinner with steak and shrimp was very good and steak cooked correctly to order. Try this restaurant and leave happy!
