We have been looking for a great local burger joint… unfortunately, the search is still on. The burgers and fries were decent, but not great. They fashion themselves after 5-guys burgers, which in my opinion, is better. Now, they DO offer a bit more on their menu than 5 guys. There are shakes and they have chili, which i’m always a sucker for, hello chili cheese fries, but all in all i was not blown away. My husband ordered a hot dog. I don’t know if they all are this way, but it was more like a sausage and It was grey in color(very off-putting). My husband took one bite and decided to call it quits. The service was good. The food came out quick and the people were very nice(they gave us a free drink since it was our first time), but it just didn’t do the trick.

Very good burger joint. A local home version of Five Guys. Very clean and food is great. Definitely recommend it.

I absolutely love this place. We have eaten there almost once a week since they opened. The burgers are fabulous, fries delicious and the staff is awesome! The owner really makes you feel so welcome and really appreciates the repeat business! I refer all of my clients and send friends… everyone of them have been very happy! Keep up the great work and thank you for bringing a real burger joint to town! Love, love, love the old time soda-pop shop feel:-)

Everything here tasted incredibly fresh & delicious. The burgers were juicy but not greasy and the fries were wonderful as well. They have pretty much every topping you could want to put on your burger, hot dog, or grilled chicken sandwich. We will definitely be back! We met one of the owners & he was very nice & wanted to make sure we enjoyed our meal.

The place feels and acts almost exactly like Five Guys. They advertise fresh fries like Five Guys, their burger menus are like Five Guys, and their selection is like Five Guys. The major differences are that they try to affect an old school Americana feel to the location, and also, nothing is really that good. Being a hot dog aficionado, I was disappointed at what amounts to a water dog: what they like to call«steamed» but is more or less just boiled. The water sucks the flavor right out of the dog. The burgers are decent(?). It’s not bad, but it’s really not really great either. And the fries! What a disappointment! I can’t believe fries can look so good and still be so inedible. I’ve been twice and haven’t been able to finish an order of fries. I will vouch for two things: their shakes are pretty tasty. Clearly fresh and blended. And they have Wifi at the store, which is nice. They don’t know how to help people get onto their wifi, but I figured it out. Two nice touches, but that’s just sizzle, the steak isn’t worth killing the cow for it.

Alright, I had previously given 5 Guys 5 stars and said its the best burger in MJ, but that was before Jimbos opened! I loved this place from the second I walked in. It reminds me of the old local burger diners my family would take me to as a kid, that some how got lost over the years. Their burgers and fries are very similar to 5 guys but better and at a better price. My daughter got a Hot Dog and that thing was the size of my fore arm! She couldnt even finish it. The owner was super nice, walked around and talked to everyone to make sure everything was satisfactory. Great Music, great décor! I would definitely recommend and will definitely return!

After driving by this place for weeks wondering why anyone would open a burger joint so close to Sonic‘s, I saw the Unilocal reviews and decided to give them a try. First off, this place is lit up! They are in a small strip of stores and Jimbo‘s really stands out. When you walk in you immediately notice that the place is spotless. One of the owners gave me a quick rundown on the fact that the burgers are good quality, not frozen and the add ons are free. I chose a double bacon/cheese burger with mushrooms and grilled onions plus a regular order of fries. The burger was very good. Juicy but not too much with good taste. Nice soft bun. Good size and the price was good. Anybody that goes to Sonic‘s for a burger with this place down the street is nuts. The fry‘s are also very good. Plenty of them in an order and crispy with good taste. I suggest two changes. First grill the bacon until it has a bit of a crunch. I could not really even tell it was there. Secondly, get onion rings. There is one place in town with good rings and they sell a bunch of them. Change these two issues I‘m good for 5 stars

After picking up a friend’s lunch for him, I decided it was time to try this new«burger joint» in «mid-town.» I loved the idea of calling ahead and having them cook the burgers and then«drop» the fries when I arrived. However, I would prefer my fries thoroughly drained of grease before they are put in the styrofoam cups and then put into the brown paper bag(I ordered my meal to go). Another problem was that the fries were so hot when they were put into the paper bag that steam developed which caused condensation to form on the inside of the bag. By the time I got home(a five minute drive), the brown bag had fallen completely apart and the fries were no longer crispy but mushy. It was like a little take-home sauna in that brown bag. My order also included cajun fries but their seasoning was sporadic. Because they do not leave the fries in the mechanism for very long where they are drained of their grease and because they only give a cursory shake of the«cajun» spices, the fries are greasy(which adds to the sauna effect) and the cajun spice covering is sparse. I love the idea of choosing your own toppings for the burgers(and the burgers are have a nice price point) but I dispise having no say-so in how long my burger is cooked. I do not like well-done burgers; it makes the burger completely devoid of taste and juiciness. I asked why they only cook their burgers well done; the response was for health reasons. Bullshit. I do not know why Mom-n-Pop places give that inaccurate response, but well known chain restaurants(which I have been known to visit) give their diners a choice — usually beginning with medium, which is my preference. It makes me wonder if it is ignorance on the part of the owners or laziness on the part of the cook. Finally, I chose not to get a cheeseburger because their only cheese option was American — which is processed cheese food(akin to Velvetta) and it has no taste. I imagine cost has something to do with that but I would gladly pay the extra cost involved for real cheddar or swiss. I’m not really a burger person and I probably will not go back unless they make a few changes; And, I guess more importantly, the burger really didn’t impress me. And, if the burger does not impress on the first visit, I doubt I’ll go back for the fries.

Friend of mine and his son stopped in for a burger. They told us when we ordered it would be about 8 minutes, they cook to order. I dont think they use frozen meat, it appeared to be hand made patty. Basic burger, no seasonings. You choose your toppings. He gave my friends son a free drink. Place was very clean, fries were awesome. Our car wouldnt start, the owner came out and checked on us. He even offered all of us free drinks while we were waiting. The food is average, better burger than any fast food. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. If your looking for a good burger around providence, this is the place to go and your supporting a small business.

Recently open on the north side of Mt. Juliet, Jimbo’s Grill fills a void for quick service burgers and fries. They are located in the strip mall across from Mt. Juliet Middle School(Old Mt. Juliet High) and close to Pizza Hut, Sonic and Billy Goat Café. The place has plenty of seating, and a kitchen that is open for you to see it’s clean. No precooked food here. I ordered and they started cooking. $ 3.59 for a single hamburger cooked to order. I selected grilled mushrooms & onions, ketchup, mustard and pickles. It was great! Potatoes are hand cut into french fries and had a nice flavor. Cajun seasoning was also offered. A large fry was enough for two people to have plenty. The nice part about this place is not having to fight Providence traffic and getting a good burger and fries in less than 8 minutes. Looking forward to my next visit.
