My husband & I went to Mirko for my husband’s birthday. The hostess sat us down right away & not a lot of people was in the restaurant. A birthday party was leaving as well as another couple. My husband and I sat down & watched as three waiters/waitresses passed us by without acknowledging our presence or even a «I’ll be right with you». We literally sat in Mirko for 10 – 15 minutes without an acknowledge meant or to take our drink order, we just got up and left. We eat out all the time but I have NEVER been treated the way we were treated tonight. We went to the Mirko in Donelson & the service was AMAZING. I will NEVER go to Mirko in Mt Juliet again. Left a severe bad taste in my mouth.

I have now eaten here twice with both times far surpassing my expectations. The food was great and the options are seemingly endless. I had the shrimp and lobster ravioli with mare sauce which was exceptional, and my wife had the mixed mushroom with carbonara and loved it as well. The atmosphere was great prices were very reasonable, all in all this is a great spot.

I love Italian food and I was so happy to see a small, non-chain Italian restaurant opening in Mt. Juliet. When we visited Mirko for the first time we were not disappointed. The menu is simple yet has variety. The food is FANTASTIC! Portion sizes are generous and they have wonderful bread they serve along with a bean dip that is very tasty. Since Mirko has opened we have become regular customers and have dined there frequently and we have always had a top-notch experience. The staff is always kind and courteous and the food has never disappointed. My favorite dishes are the Tagliatelle Shrimp and the Chicken Parm. Mirko is my favorite restaurant to dine at in the Mt. Juliet area.

Maybe dinner is better than lunch. I sent the eggplant back… it was just mush. Exchanged it for lasagna and took two bites. Tastes like«can to table» to me. I hope I’m wrong.

Good service, excellent menu, and doesn’t require reservations or a 45 minute wait. I really like the quality of this place versus something cheesy like Olive Garden, and I’ve never had bad service here. Food is quite good, and prices are very reasonable considering the selections and local sourcing that they do.

Mirko is the closest restaurant to my house here in Suburbia. Mirko offers fresh tasting pasta in a strip mall setting. As of now in 2016 it’s probably the best restaurant in Mt. Juliet. They have a great Caesar salad to start as well as I have liked their eggplant parmigiana. Sadly it has not too busy, so I recommend trying this to help support business here in North Mt Juliet.

My first time here and will definitely come back. Great fresh pasta, food was really good & flavorfulI had the Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli and my husband had the Tagliolini and the Spicy Arrabiata sauce. For dessert we ordered the Chocolate Cake and the Tiramisu. Service was acceptable considering it was a busy Sat night. Wait staff very friendly and accommodating.

We had such a great time dining at this establishment! If we lived here, this would for sure be a place to frequent. Everyone enjoyed their meals, from chicken parm to spaghetti/meatballs, chicken Alfredo and noodles with fungi sauce. We were a party of 10 and our young waiter took excellent care of us. The tiramisu was also outstanding, loved the light whipped mascarpone. It was a win!

My wife and I decided to stop in for the first time prior to grabbing the kids from school. Service was prompt and everyone was very nice and attentive! It wasn’t very crowded and our food came out super quick. The server was very knowledgable and we are very happy we came. All in all, we will be back!!!

We are not fans of Italian food but we decided go outside our comfort zone. We went into the restaurant with pretty low expectations and we were we so very wrong! The menu is creative yet offers all the standard items you would expect at an Italian restaurant. We love the fact that they source locally for many of their ingredients. We tried the Chicken Parmesan and the Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli. Pastas are made fresh and cooked perfectly al dente. They didn’t over-use salt to give their food flavor yet the food tasted wonderful. Portions were massive. We NEVER take home our leftovers from any restaurant but we took them home from Mirko… ANDWEATETHEM! The Manager, the staff, all incredible and very welcoming and obviously focused on pleasing the customers. Who knew Italian food could actually be enjoyable! We will be back… again and again and again.

It was ok. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, and our server was very friendly. They have a wine special on Wednesdays, so you can get half off bottles. Our stuffed breadsticks were excellent, and the rolls were good, too. My husband got the lasagna, and I got linguine with meat sauce. We also both got Caesar salads, which were chunks of lettuce with a little drizzle of dressing on top. Not enough to cover the salad. Neither one of us were crazy about our pasta, either. My noodles were all stuck together, not seasoned at all, and undercooked to the point of being crunchy in places. Our bill for 2 sweet teas, 2 salads, an appetizer, &2 entrees was around $ 50, which I am happy to pay for a good meal, but this was not a good meal. The bread & tea are great, but I’d skip everything else.

Updating my review from earlier this year. If you’ve been to Mirko prior to June 2015 and had a negative experience with the food and/or service, I am here to let you know that many of those issues have been resolved! After a considerably negative experience at Mirko several months ago for my wife’s birthday, I was actually contacted by the manager of local chain and given the opportunity to express my concerns. It seems this business may have finally gotten some folks in who are willing to listen to their paying customers. MUCH has changed. The management seems concerned about bringing their customers an extremely better experience, from the waitstaff, to the options, offers, recommendations, and the food itself. My wife and I love to support our local businesses where we can, and now that Mirko has shown willingness to listen and improve, we’ll be much happier to return. We went in on a Wednesday(to which we then found out they have a current promotion of 50% off select bottles of wine!), and were immediately greeted by a hostess and manager. We were seated quickly and offered several menus and informed of the new local options hand created by the new chefs… Yes, they not only have new waitresses and new management staff, but they also have new kitchen staff — and these guys seem to care about their creations! We ordered the Italian Nachos as an appetizer, and it was extremely flavorful and quite tasty. A massive difference from anything we tried from our last(and only) previous visit. My wife ordered the chicken parm, and I took the recommendation from the manager and chef and tried their Mt Juliet only offered special dish of the NY Strip Steak and roasted potatoes. EVERYTHING was delicious! The steak was cut thin and very tender and flavorful with a superb sauce/glaze on it, and the wife’s chicken parm was tender, flavorful and very fresh. We inquired about the meat selections later in the evening and learned that Mirko sources their meats locally from Houston’s right down the road! Very good meal and excellent, but not overwhelming, portion sizes. We also tried the cannoli and cheesecake for dessert(also sourced locally from Tennessee Cheesecake!), and these were excellent as well… all in all, they are trying very hard to earn back their customers and build their business. If you have any concerns or had a previous negative experience, just let management know when you walk in. They will do everything in their power to make sure your new experience is tremendous and you feel welcomed and encouraged to return. This may be our new go-to in lieu of Olive Garden/Maggianos for Italian locally! We will now return! P. S. In the only negative I can think of, we did make note to mention to the manager the only constructive criticism we can find while there for the«new experience»… it was yet again the bread offering. This was the only thing we didn’t like. These are honestly straight out of the bag, Kroger-style frozen dinner rolls. However, you are now offered an option for either standard oil or bean dip, which was quite nice, as last time we received a less-than flavorful bland mixture of goop without choice. The oil is nothing special, but could be spiced up to be quite tasty with a change in the offering of bread accompaniment.

Love this place! Food is great, especially the Alfredo sauce! Also have had the meatball sandwich… quite good! Every time we have been there we’ve had great service from Hannah… very attentive to us, and quick to refill our drinks!

The food was tremendous and presented beautifully. I highly recommend their pasta, the squash ravioli and Fettuccini Alfredo were fantastic. We loved the bean dip served hot with bread. The manager and waitress were very attentive and friendly.

My mom works in the same shopping center as Mirko, and Italian food is both of our favorites so we decided to go here for lunch when I visited. We didn’t order an appetizer, but they bring out complimentary rolls and Italian white bean hummus drizzled in olive oil. The rolls were nice and dense but pretty flavorless, and the hummus was flavorless as well. The entrees were fantastic. I got the grilled chicken spinach salad. I love goat cheese, and the goat cheese they used was very fresh. The honey walnut balsamic dressing was the perfect flavor dressing for this salad. My mom got the spinach and cheese ravioli, and she loved it. Service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back when I am in the Mt. Juliet area.

Gotta say– for a NJ Foodie– and one VERY critical of Italian food in the south, I was pleasantly surprised. Good: Staff was polite and attentive enough– but not overly pesky. Italian nachos were yummy! Kind of like fried Chinese noodles– the toppings really made this –bacon, chopped tomatoes, creamy béchamel. Chicken Parm was very decent. Chicken was a little thick and dry but the breeding, sauce and cheese were great. The gnocchi were spot on! Wonderful texture! I didn’t care for the sauce I got on them– but that was my own fault. Nice wedge salad too! Meh: I didn’t care for the home made pasta(tagliatelle) that came with the chicken. It might taste better with a more flavorful sauce.(marinara didn’t do anything for it) The wedge salad– which I enjoyed thoroughly I thought needed a dressing other than the blue cheese– I got a balsamic which added to it and made it better. Really? My biggest complaints are A)the bread is all wrong. They’ve got to abandon the dinner rolls and find some Italian bread… and B) they need to get some REAL fresh Parmesan cheese and ditch that powdered ‘shaker cheese.’ Any complaints I’ve read about portion size must have been heard by the restaurant because I thought the portions were great! We will go back.

Mirko catered an event we attended and did a fantastic job. Farfalle pasta in a cream sauce. Rotini in a marinara sauce. Absolutely delicious chicken marsala with tons of mushrooms. Really delicious.
