Accent On Music

If you love music, and want to improve your audio setup or start from scratch to put together for a great sounding system, this store is a gem! The owners, David Wilson, and his wife Alma, and sales associate Bill, are music lovers first and business people second. The lines of equipment that they carry are hardly the mainstream brands that a Best Buy or other big box stores sell. Instead, they carry equipment from companies that are chosen because of top audio quality, reliability, and musicality. They are experts at assembling an audio system made up of equipment that works optimally well together, which is no small feat. I read a lot of high end audio sites and magazines, participate in online audio forums, and stop into as many audio stores as I can when I travel to see what is being sold. For years, I thought that I could simply buy great equipment that could just be linked together by me to then sound collectively wonderful. I now know that only a highly experienced audio pro who consistently listens to various audio pieces and knows from years of hands on experience what synergizes together can do this well, and the 3 people at this shop most certainly do this masterfully.
I went there looking for some equipment about a month ago, and they spent significant, un-​rushed time with me in looking at what I already have, and trying to determine what I could add that would bring me the audio improvement that I was looking for. I had a modest amount of money to spend, and they treated me with the same courtesy as someone with unlimited finances looking for the absolute audio state of the art. They are consultants in the best sense of the word, in that they listen to you first and foremost, and have no interest in sending you quickly out the door with an über-​expensive piece of equipment that will just be plopped down into your audio chain. They want to sell you something that will give YOU what you are looking for — not something to clear their stock. They sincerely want your musical enjoyment to be enhanced, and after so many years of experience, they know incredibly well how to accomplish this. They are the best!
