I used to absolutely love this place and tell everyone in my town that they have to go. I would order delivery at least weekly as the Chicken Milanese dish was some of the best I had ever had. It was a nice big portion and the balsamic reduction was on point. Unfortunately like all great things it comes to an end. The last 3 or 4 times I have ordered from there I have made excuses to myself like oh maybe the chef was out today or maybe it was just this one time that things weren’t up to par. One time the cutlet was so pounded so thin and then overcooked where I thought I was gonna break a tooth with all that crunch and I like my chicken cutlets thin. I have said I would stop ordering from there like 3 times and continued to do so because I was chasing the food I was used to getting from them. The entrees aren’t cheap by any means for a pizzeria and all of a sudden when I ordered last week it was only one cutlet vs the two I had gotten the 100 times before. That was the last straw. They also changed the side pasta dish size twice to smaller amounts over the downhill run. It is so unfortunate as I will no longer order from here but wish it was like the good old times where you got an awesome meal for a solid price. I don’t know if management or the Chef changed over the last year but it sucks if you were a fan of items on the menu besides pizza.

We order from Basilico often. Their pizza is usually very good with just enough of a crisp to get a classic NY fold(although tonight, I think they may have used different pizza dough or a different pizza baker and it was utterly disappointing). Their specialty pizzas are great. Their entrees are large in portion and tasty too(highly recommend the eggplant parm). Their calzones are hit or miss. Tonight the dough was off. Their fried calamari used to be delicious but they have recently changed the batter coating and I would steer clear.

The food here is excellent, the pizza and dishes are great. I am a little disappointed with the wedges though, they are small and leave you wanting more. They have the best eggplant wedges in the area.

I am unsure what has happened to this place, but it just hasn’t been good the last few times I’ve eaten there. Last night we stopped in for dinner and the place was empty. When a place is empty, there is NO reason for it to be dirty. The staff were sitting around in the back talking. There were piles of swept up food piles left all over the floor. The tables were not cleaned off and the help was very slow to respond. I dont know if they changed their recipes, but the food has become extremely bland. I have never before had to put salt or spices on pizza before. My daughter ordered a ziti dish and it was dry and tasteless. She also bought a cookie that was completely inedible. When she asked when they were baked he said, «I dunno, a few days ago». When I asked to talk to the manager I was told to come back another day. The place is not being run well, time to find another local pizza place that is well kept and well run.

Buffalo chicken pizza was awful and the plain slice left much to be desired. There are 5+ other local pizza joints which have much better options.

The best pizza and Italian food close by Northern Westchester Hospital. And I have tried the other two. As an added plus, they deliver to the hospital room(if you aren’t a patient). After spending a considerable amount of time at the hospital visiting my father, my conclusion was well researched and advocated my non vegetarian sibling. We got a clam pizza(yeah, strange) and an eggplant rotini one night and entries of penne vodka, sautéed broccoli rabe, and an Italian tuna salad on another night. The pizza was awesome. It was a nice thin crust with good chewyness to it. As a fan of eggplant, I also enjoyed the eggplant rotini. And the entrees passed the test too. I recommend. However, if you’re a patient ordering, make sure you have a proxy to receive your meal… JK and lol. Bön appetite.

My favorite place for delivery in Mount Kisco!!! I usually get some kind of chicken dish and the food is above what you’d expect(it’s really delicious actually) for a pizza place/Italian restaurant in this price range. The portions are generous and the food always arrives before the quoted time. But most importantly… they pay attention when you place your order and don’t screw it up! I have food allergies so this is especially important to me. They are always more than willing to accommodate special requests(e.g., leaving out an ingredient I am allergic to, using a different sauce on the pasta). I’ve ordered from them about 20x as of the date of this review, and every time has been a great experience!

Pretty incredibly wings that I found on a whim late on a Sunday. They’re like a honey buffalo wing. Splendid.

Great spot for a quick bite(BYOB) or take out. Outstanding homemade soups, and sandwiches. As for pasta, try the capellini pomodoro or Tuscan ravioli with griiled chicken and brocollit rabe. Very friendly staff as well. Can’t go wrong for a local pizzeria.

The Italian dishes are great, and they make some of the best chicken parm I’ve ever had. I’ve never actually gotten the pizza(or eaten in, for that matter), but this is a great takeout spot for good, well-priced Italian food.

Saturday night 3÷31÷2012 the pizza was terrible. We ordered one with extra cheese, garlic and meatball. Could not taste any extra garlic or cheese. Also the pizza was overcooked. Strange because their white pizza several weeks ago was very good.

Great food — great salad’s, great pasta(penne vodka is unreal) and great pizza. Believe it or not, they have the best chicken wings in mount kisco. The only negative is that when we ordered the wings they came with sour cream instead of Blue Cheese and sometimes they forget to put a lid«protector» on their Sicilian pizza when they deliver… it’s always a bummer to scrape the cheese from the top of the box. Plus, they have Jamaican beef patties!!!

Excellent pizza and penne a la vodka. I disagree with other poster about doughiness of pizza, although I have noticed if you order a Small the crust is thicker than if you order a Large! So order a large and freeze the rest. I am picky — have lived in NYC and Hoboken(lots of yummy Italian fare) — and I ADORE this place; it’s my #1 go-to for takeout. Just fyi.

Good spot for take out/delivery. I haven’t eaten in. Good selection and service. The Italian dishes have been tasty and filling, but I’m not as big a fan of the pizza. Just personal taste, but the thin crust is too thick and doughy for my taste. It has suited others fine, though; and I’ve ordered treats for card party or football watching quite happily. Always look for coupons, which makes Basilico a bit of a bargain compared to other places in town.

Basilico seems to be the spot to get dinner/take out on a Sunday night. With few other reasonably-priced alternatives open, this is definitely the best option. We ordered take out and used the online ordering system. the system was intuitive and fast. The confirmation message said it would be about 25 minutes. When I showed up after 22, they said they needed another 10 minutes. I waited a full 35 minutes before my food was ready, but they apologized profusely and gave me an extra dish(eggplant parmesan which isn’t my favorite, but I didn’t want to be rude). I ordered the tricolor salad which was large and fresh. My husband ordered the zucchini sticks which were just the right consistency — crispy, not mushy — even after driving them home. I don’t remember what else he ordered. But i got the cappelini with shrimp, tomatoes and capers. it was yummy in a comfort-food kind of way. Simple and satisfying. and the order was HUGE. My only complaint is that it came with about a pound of pasta. the pasta-to-ingredients ratio was way off kilter. I made two meals out of the dish, but still threw away half of the pasta they gave it to me with. It’s not fancy or unique. It’s just really good for a pizza & pasta place. We’ll definitely be going back for more.
