I’ve been here for a few events and a round of golf. The experience each time was memorable. The golf course is impeccably maintained and very challenging. The club house and the overall grounds is extremely picturesque. They offer activities for kids and have a salt water pool that’s open in the summer. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone interested in a membership to a private golf club.

I was invited to a Ladies Night(would’ve been nice if there were some men there too) Fashion Show(Carlisle Collection) and Benefit for«Kelly’s Ride». This was my first time at this Country Club. First, let me say, this place was packed with plenty of big bling(not on my finger but on many others). Also, the attire worn by most was also blingy(bad blingy) and not my taste. I was surprised that there was no valet parking available. I think all country clubs — especially in this area — should always have valet parking for nighttime functions or events. Yes, we had to park far from the front entrance. When we first got there, I was excited as there were vendors with their wares for shopping. What a disappointment. There was maybe one vendor that had merchandise that I thought was half decent. Oh well, I thought, I’m saving money tonight. I did get a couple of cosmos and the bartender made them perfectly. After an hour, everyone was shown to the dining area and it was set up beautifully. Very formal, clean and decorated nicely. We sat at table #5 with a group of 10 women. The sit down dinner consisted of roasted chicken, 2 pieces of grilled shrimp and risotto. Good but a little bland. Dessert was crème brûlée which I don’t particularly care for but I skimmed the hard sugary topping off and enjoyed that part of it. Rick Williams(Channel 6 News Station PA) was the host of the Fashion Show. They had mostly locals who modeled the clothing from the Carlisle Collection. I thought the women did a pretty good job. I would have liked to have gotten up there too as it looked like alot of fun. There was a DJ and the music was hopping(American Boy was one that my son turned me on to and I just love it). They showed probably 60 or so different outfits — I liked maybe 2 or 3 of the pieces. It wasn’t a great time but it wasn’t a bad time either. The Country Clubhouse itself is beautiful and spacious but unless I get some big bling I doubt I’ll become a member here anytime soon!
