Well if you are in the market for a thin meatless hoagie on a soggy roll-THIS ISYOURPLACE !!! Disappointing!!! So many other good hoagie places here-not worth the visit.

Absolutely love this place! Their food always tastes fresh. I haven’t explored much of their menu but I’ve loved what I had. Never any complaints. Also one of my friends works for them and always has nice things to say about the cleanliness and employees which is always nice to hear.

It’s sad as I have tried this place a few times over the past few years. I have had a hoagie from here which was made poorly and had no taste. I have also had several uneven trial sandwiches. I also adore cheesesteaks and they have no clue how to make them. They smother the meat in sauce to make you think it has some sort of taste and there is so little meat in that sandwich that you’re paying 7 something for bread. Really disappointing overall.

Slack’s is always clean and bright with relatively fast service. The overhead television is always tuned in to ESPN during lunch which is a bonus. Their cheese steaks are decent, however, every time I go to Slack’s, I leave wondering why I went back in the first place… $ 8 for a foot long, mildly stuffed cheese steak with mushrooms and $ 2 for a fountain soda is not necessarily what I call value.

The kitchen was filthy. Not Kitchen Nightmares filthy, but the shelf areas and utensil containers were caked in nastiness and the grill looked like it hadn’t been cleaned all day. They showed an inappropriate show for the first ten minutes I was there and then changed the sound but not the picture, so we were listening to a different show than we were watching. There was a mop bucket sitting out for our entire meal without anyone using it, and the water in it was black. New moon with no stars in the sky black. Seriously, it would have been more sanitary to use water from the Rancocas Creek. The manager was sitting and eating, and every time he stood up to talk to staff he picked his rear end. The food was sub-par. I ordered the hot sausage parmigiana. The meat was very bland and greasy, the sauce tasted as though it was canned AND sitting under a warmer too long(maybe it was!), they skimped on the cheese, and the bread was chewy. The fountain root beer tasted watered down and flat. The menus are confusing and have a disruptive scroll that covers them half the time. Their specials have no descriptions on the in-house menus, if you want to know what’s on them you need a take-out menu. Some of their items, such as funnel cake, aren’t even on ANY of the menus. Overall, I wouldn’t go back.

Solid steak and hoagie shop. Italian hoagie is very good. Not Primo good buts its a couple bucks cheaper. Steak sandwiches are pretty good too. Definitely an every day shop and a vast improvement over Wawa and Subway.

Ordered for pick up… the food was bad and the management was rude. Ordered a corned beef sp hoagie… order came out wrong they were unwilling to fix it. The wing sauce is a mixture of blue cheese and hot sauce. It tastes like spicey mayo. Really bad wings. The other food was subpar compared with the places nearby. I can’t imagine them being around to long

The only very good thing about Slack’s is the chicken tenders and the honey mustard sauce. That stuff is good, but each bite you take makes you feel more like a fatty. Typical take out, stop in joint with burgers, chicken, sandwiches, etc. Like I say, nothing particularly stands out. Sometimes they have interesting looking delivery guys, and sometimes they can take forever I guess. Don’t get the fried breaded shrimp, such a waste and disappointment, albeit you should n’t expect much from this sort of place. The grilled chicken sandwich is also unnecessary. Don’t waste your money.
