I’m in town for work and I came to this Applebee’s due to the fact it’s near my hotel. I ordered the Mac n cheese a few minutes later the bartender informed me that they were out of the noodles. So I ordered the bar chicken or whatever it was from their promotional menu. When it came out the chicken looked as if it was taken off the grill a few minutes before it would be burned. Extra extra crispy. As the bartender gave it to me she immediately said in sorry if it’s too crispy I can bring another. So she knew right away it wasn’t right. So I told her I’ll just have the beer and forget about the food. After leaving I decided to check Unilocal and of course they only have 2 stars. Why is Applebee’s not addressing these issues? I have nothing bad to say about the people or management but the food supplies and prep can needs to be delt with.

Never again. Applebee’s was already on my naughty list but due to their perfectly made commercials for a new burger line, we gave them another try. Keep in mind our expectations were really low at this point so disappointing us would take some doing. They rose to the challenge. Our burgers were both scantily topped with our chosen dressings and were raw in the middle. I mentioned it to the waitress and she had them remade. The manager stopped by and said burgers are pink if you don’t order them well done. Interesting, I thought, why would he feel the need to point that out? Moments later I asked the waitress and she said they were supposed to ask how we wanted them cooked, apologized for not asking, and said she had just entered them as well done. Then why were they raw, I wondered. Soon enough, new burgers appeared and these were almost done. We ended up leaving about a third of each behind because they were cooked through only in certain areas. So, to recap: A total of four burgers were made and the kitchen staff was under the guidance of «well done» for each. Two were severely undercooked and two were mildly undercooked and uneven. All four lacked the toppings that would have made for a good burger in the first place. Wait staff didn’t ask the right questions during the order process. Never again.

About the only thing good here is the bartender named«Mackie». If it had not been for his friendly service, we would have left. He is a great addition to their staff and they really need to employ more like him. He offered ideas on things to do in the area and kept us laughing.

I would give this place zero stars if it was possible! The only thing this place had going for them was the wonderful bartender, «Mackie.» He devoted 12 years of his life to that place and was fired over a «what she said» joke by a chauvinistic pig of a manager(who has since taken down his FB page that was filled with disgusting proof of this). I am a manager in a different type of field, but I can assure you that no good manager fires someone who has spent 12 years with the company over what really amounted to a minor infraction. Mackie made people feel welcomed and brightened everyone’s day! He’s just that kind of guy. I mean really, how many people regularly go to drink at an Applebee’s??? Well, people did there because of him! Huge loss to this place and I will never set foot in ANY Applebee’s again!

Your restaurant smells terrible, constantly has a musty, humid feel to it and always seems dirty. The only reason I ever went there is because a friend of mine worked the lunch bartending shift. Then I come to find out he was fired for what seems to be not a compelling enough reason for termination. What you really need to do is tear down that building, rebuild it so it doesn’t stink and feel gross in there constantly. And then don’t put an Applebee’s back in there, because the food is disgusting too. Except for the quesadilla burger. I’ll miss those.

Will never dine at this location or any other Applebee’s due to the way they treated my cousin in terminating him unjustly. Apparently they have a new area manager that has his head up his ass and doesn’t care about customer service. My entire family will be boycotting this restaurant.

Best service I’ve had in a while! My drinks were never empty, I was given service with a smile as well as menu suggestions. My server was knowledgable, prompt, and friendly. Thanks Applebee’s!

We eat at Applebee’s for two reasons. ONE — it appeases my children. TWO — it is normally a quality meal at an affordable price. If you take either one of these reasons away then there’s no reason to go. My children are fond because the Applebee’s in our former hometown was so good. I can’t say the same for Mount Pleasant. Our server was pleasant and did a fine job despite the kitchen’s lack of effort. The food runner was gooped in a horrible cologne and the icing on the cake tonight — my wife found a hair in her dish. We of course sent it back and who I assume was the manager, although he didn’t introduce himself as such, personally delivered the replacement. He did say he’d cover the cost and combined with the discount kids meals, we had a very cheap meal. I’ve never been in an Applebee’s lacking customers in the middle of the dinner hour which I suppose says that MP has so many better options for a meal out. We’ll certainly be researching those and not returning to Applebee’s anytime soon.

Four full stars for what it is and what it is is nothing more(or less) than a national chain mid-level steakery with a bar. It’s the same as all of the others and those similar mid-levels. They all cook the same food the same way. If you thought Applebee’s is supposed to be a 5-diamond fine dining experience, you need to get out more. I get good service at this one without exception. They know me now. It’s not fast food nor is it the best in town. It’s just an Applebee’s like all the others. I enjoy their French onion soup and several of their signature steaks. The«two for $ 20» is a decent selection. It’s easy to go $ 20 per seat though so if you’re on a tight budget you might want to reconsider. It’s possible to have lunch under $ 10 though if you have to count your quarters. This location doesn’t get very busy often, nice if you’d like to avoid a crowd. They aren’t over staffed so you might not get speedy service like you would in a heavily staffed location. So far though, I’ve found the staff(and cooks) to be above average.

Restaurant was cold enough to hang meat. Had to go to car for two sweaters, just got me. Food was not up to Applebee’s standards. Poor selection of soft drinks and sides. Will not be back to this Applebee’s.

We were on vacation and went to Applebee’s to eat supper. The hostess sat us and we stay for 15 minutes and never did see the waitress. I can understand if you are short handed but come on the hostess or mgr could have served us drinks. Where is customer service?

We came here on our vacation late night because our main choice turned us away(30 minutes before official close by the way). The place had a karaōke night going on, which was pretty much a joke(too loud yet completely void of fun and energy). However, our server Coran was amazingly friendly and joked with us the whole time. I’ve served plenty myself and in the situation he was in, being the only server on with the overall poor ambience from the karaōke, he was a champ and did a great job.

Stopped in for a Sunday lunch. Service was good & so was the food. I had something new on the menu with chicken & shrimp & avocado on cueso rice. It really was good for the $$. I’m not afraid to come back here even after reading the earlier reviews.

Okay where to begin… Had club sandwich was descent but fries were stale and horrible. My husband order the bourbon chicken which you generally think would be heather meal for a man but they brought it to him sizzling steam and boiling Grease! Ew, it was bad and my husband isn’t a picky eater at all. Also the staff looked horrible to sloppy and slow not just my server but everyone except the bartender. So if you want a good clean cut server to bring you drinks and service just sit near the bar and don’t recommend eating.

This Applebee’s really went down hill… I use to love going there, but NO more for me… My best friend was having her daughter’s graduation dinner there, and it was a total JOKE! And it was ONLY4 adults and 5 kids, the adults got the 2 for 20 deal and the kids all got off the kids menu. WELL everyones order was incorrect and it took forever to get the meals… and we was over charged too… I will and so many of my friends and family will never return, We cant wait till crackle barrell open… bye bye applebee’s MYTICKETWAS93.00ANDTHATWASFOR12FOR20DEAL4BEERSANDTWOKIDMEALS… Way overcharged and once we pointed it out to the waitress, it took her to get manager to correct bill and that took 25 mins… ugh
