This was our second time my husband and I went on a kayak trip. Both times were wonderful and the staff is great. It is really our go to spot for kayaking.

We stopped in at 10 am Sunday, took 2 canoes from the shop to Deerfield nature park. Took about 3 hours+ without stops for one adult and one child per canoe. Friendly efficient service, very responsive(we emailed first)

For the past few years, I have joined friends on a downriver romp using Buckley’s canoes and kayaks. Buckley’s is an obvious choice as they have quality equipment and an even friendlier staff. It costs around $ 30 — $ 40 per canoe/kayak, which is a great price to pay since these events are almost always done in groups. Buckley’s has different options depending on where you want to go and where you want to start, but we usually start up-river and float down lazily for a good two hours so that we end up back at Buckley’s. Given that you have good weather, the river is quite a ride. It’s not too rough at all(no chance of getting seasick, though you might tip over if you’re not careful). There are a couple great spots to pull over, have a drink(whether it’s water or spirits), or just swim around. Just bring lots of sunscreen and lots of water(no, I wouldn’t drink the river water).
