This buffet is nothing like the one in Big Rapids. Sorry go say it’s not as good and not as many choices. Very limited sushi.

China One is the best buffet in Mt Pleasant. The décor and music are that strange pseudo-Chinese fare that seems to exist only at Chinese restaurants… Not at all culturally accurate, but still very pleasant. The food is also not culturally accurate, but I consider that to be a good thing in this instance. China One severs a large buffet consisting of many delicious options. I’ll be honest here, when I go to China One, I go to eat fried food. I love their egg rolls, sweat and sour fried shrimp, fried dough, and fried rice. They also serve some American food, like pizza and fried chicken. A cool bonus is the mini Mongolian Grill type grilling station in the back corner. The service is generally good, though the waitstaff doesn’t necessarily speak great English. They are also prone to speaking(and sometimes shouting) to each other in Mandarin in front of guests. Some people might find this annoying. CAUTION: Never go within the last hour before closing… Unfortunately I have witnessed on multiple occasions that the staff stop refilling many of the dishes as they run out, if it’s within an hour of closing time. I understand not wanting to cook more, and risk ending up with a surplus at the end of the night. However this means customers(who paid as much for the buffet as the earlier customers did) can sometimes find their favorite food is gone, and will not be refilled. BOTTOMLINE: If you’re looking to indulge in mass quantities of decent Asian-esque fried food, this is your place. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Very good typical Chinese buffet. They also have a Mongolian grill that comes with the meal. I picked my ingredients and they grill it up. It was good. The price was very reasonable. With tax $ 6.25 Waiter was good and fast. On the down side I would of liked them to have more stump dishes.
