There wasn’t the option for zero stars, but this place deserves zero. I’ve never been to a less professional doctor’s office in my life. There’s a new receptionist there daily, which should tell you something. I’ve waited over an hour in the waiting room and another hour in the doctor’s second smaller room. Their nurses have asked me why I’m there, even though it’s plain and simple and in the charts. They have mishandled my information, not recording all my visits in my charts. Example, they said «I see you haven’t been here in awhile». I was there a few weeks before that. They have mishandled my blood samples and have not given me communication on why or how. They never call you back, unless it has to do with their money. They’ve scheduled me for appointments and then don’t have the instruments needed for the appointment. They do not know what they’re doing with insurance allotments. Dr. Blaylock calls everyone suge and honey. You do not run a veterinarian’s office! Don’t call every patient like they’re pets. This place is beyond a joke. Save yourself money, time, energy and frustration. Stay away!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The amount of unprofessionalism in this Drs office is something I had never encountered before. My fiancé has a crippling third disease and was treated as if it wasn’t a big deal. When they did her blood work, not only did they overcharge us for the visit, but they used her arm as if it was a pin cushion. They person doing this work seemed like they had absolutely no idea where to find a vein. Then when we asked for the difference to be returned to is for the overcharge, the inquiry was met with hostility and entitlement, making us feel like we were stupid. After a heated phone call with the so called Drs office Blalock had the audacity to beg us not to leave her office a bad review because «she had worked so hard to build up her practice». Then when we thought this was behind us, they give our service for prescriptions the wrong prescription. For a thyroid disease that needs daily meds this is a huge problem. We had to go to a different office to have an emergency script written out for my fiancé. Please take time to go to a different Drs office. Don’t waste your time to be belittled and ultimately not get the care and professionalism that is needed in such an intimate place as a Drs office.

I’m really not one to leave a bad review of a business, and I am typically someone who thinks that «bad reviews are always from negative people.» But the unprofessional work my mom experienced in Dr. Blalock’s office is something that cannot go unnoticed. On December 30^th, while visiting family in Mt. Pleasant, my mom severely hurt her heel and required stitches. As most urgent care offices were closed on the account of it being close to New Year’s Eve, I chose to take her to Dr. Blalock’s office on due to the 4 star rating her office had on Google. Aside from substantial wait times, Dr. Blalock was completely unprofessional during the stitching procedure. She not once told my mom when she was going to apply anesthetic, never told her when she would start stitching, and to top it all off, my mom wasn’t completely numb and Dr. Blalock proceeded anyway. Oh, and she received a call and asked my brother to answer the phone for her and hold it up to her face so she could talk — super professional. The stitch job Dr. Blalock gave was so horribly done that my mom had to get on a course of antibiotics following a visit to our primary care physician, and the wound still hasn’t completely healed over 2 weeks later. I would never suggest or advise ANYONE to visit Dr. Blalock.

I did not have a good experience here. I had some post-​finals dehydration/​nausea and had a friend take me here. I spent too long in the waiting room for feeling as nauseous as I was. Finally they took me back to a very tiny, poorly lit room. They took my vitals and had me pee in a cup, all standard procedure for dehydration. They eventually decided on an IV to get some fluid in me, and they gave me some nausea and diarrhea medicine. Unfortunately, the nurse who installed my IV didn’t do it correctly. It hurt going in, and it hurt while it was in (they aren’t supposed to hurt while in). I thought I was just miserable and hypersensitive but I told my friend that it was hurting so badly and she got the nurse to check it. It was dripping slowly as well. After nearly an hour with a painful IV and only 200 mL having gone in my body (not sure where, it wasn’t going into my blood), I requested they take it out because it wasn’t working and I wasn’t comfortable staying there any longer. Dr. Blalock was kind and apologized for the situation and I understand that mistakes happen. I got the impression that her entire office was focused more on very mild health issues and an actual medical need threw them off. Dr. Blalock waived the fee, as I would’ve expected in a situation like that, but I will most certainly not be going back here.

Don’t go! Just sat for two hours and never even had my vitals taken. Receptionist was rude and literally rolled her eyes when I asked how much longer the wait would be. What’s the point of allowing walk ins and letting members of the community feel they will get the care they need when you won’t even answer questions about how long the wait will be. Only put one star on bc I had to

I went here when I had a medical emergency when I was visiting from out of town a few months back. I was charged an amount that was significantly more than what was required given my insurance coverage. Since then I have been calling on a regular basis to receive the refund for the excess amount I paid. Although they acknowledge that there is a balance on my account and I am entitled to a refund, the doctor, who is the only one with the authority to release the refund has failed to do so and has not returned my calls despite the messages I have left. There is no excuse for this and it is evident that she is purposefully keeping my money in hopes I just forget about it. Beware!

I’ve been to a number of doctors, a few ER’s and several urgent cares over the years and I have never met docs who took the time and patience to sort out medical problems I had been experiencing for several years, the cause and what could be done about them. Granted that did not all happen in one sitting, but there was no way it could have. They show they genuinely care, not only asking questions but listening to the answers. I feel like they listened to not only what I did say but to what I didn’t and have helped me find healthier solutions to my problems where others just put a bandaid on it. I know I’ll always get thorough kind care when I go there. I hope I don’t have to but I know they are there for me.

When you continue to use the same Doctor for eight years that’s all the endorsement you need…

Wonderful service, great atmosphere, and excellent medical care. I went to Dr. Blalock for an Urgent Care situation this past summer and my experience was terrific! She got me into physical therapy on the same day! I do not live in the area, but if I did I would certainly use her services regularly!
