Our car broke down on I-94 just south of Highway 50 in Kenosha County on a Saturday at 10:35 p.m. returning to Milwaukee. What a nightmare with the wife and daughter aboard and 12 degree weather. Luckily I have On-Star and it is worth every penny. The Emergency Service Department said they had to call around the area to see who they could find available. After more than a dozen calls, they found Floyd’s Towing & Recovery who said they would deliverer our car to a dealer. The tow truck had to come nearly 20 miles to get us. They did just as the snow started to fall. Thanks to Kenosha County Sheriff’s Officer Ryan Gott, who stayed with us until the truck arrived and then delivered us to a nearby motel where a friend was waiting to take us home. I was impressed with the concern of the tow driver and how easy it was to complete the process. Now to await the dreaded call from the dealer Monday with the repair costs.

Well I was on my way to work during a snowstorm and I tried to make a right turn but my car didn’t turn and it kept going straight, sliding from the slippery snow into a median with a snowbank that got me stuck. A cop came and he asked me if I wanted him to call a tow and I said yes, he called FLOYD’s. The cop was courteous and helpful, unfortunately the tow rep(who shall remain nameless) pulled up, didn’t say one word to me, got my car unstuck and then went to the cop and asked him if he could tell me to meet him at the closest car wash parking lot to hammer out payment(as if I were gonna just leave without paying) and to escort me there. Rude, uncourteous and no customer service skills. Maybe repo would be better suited for this type of tow company. Don’t judge a book by its cover, a-hole!
