Holiday Inn Express Mt. Pleasant – Scottdale

Decent beds, full breakfast with eggs sausages, coffee and juice, and more. I would stay here again.

This wasn’t my first stay at this particular Holiday Inn Express so I was already familiar with the property. It’s conveniently located right at the intersection of routes 119 and 817 in Mt Pleasant and is very convenient to Frick Hospital which is just a couple of miles up the road. Past trips have been more fun family events — this time it was to visit my Dad in Frick Hospital.
Hotel is very clean /​quiet and reasonably priced. I particularly like it’s location right off the highway in Mt Pleasant and the fact that there are a lot of fast food and quick dining options in the area.
Free WiFi /​free hot breakfast /​clean /​quiet — what more could you want out of a hotel?

Very clean! Bed was extremely comfortable. We got in late and left early so we did not get to see the pool or weight room.
Check in was very quick and friendly.
Breakfast had a lot of options for being a complimentary continental.
Sausage, eggs, (both scrambled and hard boiled), yogurts, cereals, oatmeal, assorted pastries, warm cinnamon buns, bagels, juice, tea, coffee.
We stopped at a local business close by and he said he has all his out of town customers stay here because it is the only decent option in town.
Definitely recommend this if you need yo stay in area.

Better than expected for a highway motel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dated décor but clean and quiet. Great little breakfast buffet and lots of amenities in the shower. If you are in this neighborhood you should give it a try. (Not that there are a lot of other choices…)

I was happily surprised when I walked into our double room here and discovered just how clean and nice it was. The outside of this building is beautiful, and they have a free breakfast in the morning. Nothing bad about starting out the day with a stomach full of scrambled eggs.

Great mid-​week stay. New property. Had a king room so lots of extra space and the maintenance guy said he just installed the flat panel TV (and asked me how I liked it the next morning at breakfast.)
Breakfast was more than sufficient to get your day started and the location was great for visiting Fallingwater and less than 1hr to Pittsburgh. Plenty of stores near by including Walmart if you need something and enough eating options to cover you for a day or two before you’d be looking for more variety.
The hotel is on its own access road behind the gas station/​mini market. Good rate from Expedia (white label discount feature.) One minus — on a floor of smoke-​free rooms but hall smelled a bit of smoke — not offensive nor did it follow into the room. Would stay again.

Basic hotel a step above average, but not high end.
No pillow top beds, but the beds they do have are clean, well maintained and comfortable enough. Despite being near a highway, it was quiet. This place is definitely a bargain for the money.
One thing that caught my attention – this hotel has the largest collection of those sample size amenities than any other mid-​price hotel chain.
Breakfasts are better than most offered as part of a room rate in that they have a lot more available than stale rolls, watered down coffee, or fruit on its last legs. What they offer is an ample and filling way to start the day.
