I have used Island Moving for 15 yrs+ Just recently had reason to use them again. They are the best around. The guys go beyond the call of duty. I read a recent negative review on them and it is my opinion this person wanted something for nothing because I have never had anything but excellent service and professionalism from this moving company! Wouldnt use anyone else for my needs.

The move was first scheduled around the convenience of the moving company. It took them over 2 weeks to move 3 miles. The packing was horrible. nothing wrapped, everything damaged, most things just shoved into boxes. Then much of the furniture was broken. Can’t get this guy to respond to multiple inquiries about his plan for repair or remedy. Never unpacked but charged more than packing and unpacking properly any of my moves. Would not use them again nor recommend them. This was really a terrifying experience.

John and his crew were able to accommodate us quickly and fit us in, even within 5 days of our move. His crew is very positive, upbeat, and professional. They had a great attitude throughout the whole day, even though it was one of the hottest days of the year. They made the move a lot less stressful for us and were very flexible, helping us take furniture apart and packing some things since we thought we were more prepared than we really were. They worked very hard for us for 8 hours and still had another move, but never slowed down or complained. I will definitely use them to move again and would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a less stress, affordable moving company with no issues.

John and his crew of three professional men were fantastic! They were friendly, efficient, polite, and competent. Each time I had a concern or question regarding the handling of a piece of furniture, they put my mind at ease «no problem, we got this».
We moved here from Maryland with a national moving company, and I can honestly say with 110% certainty… Island Movers beat them hands down in every way.
I am a local real estate agent in Charleston and I will definitely recommend this company to any client needing moving services.

John and his excellent, friendly and competent movers, Robert and Brian, did a wonderful job of moving me last week. It was a very rainy day, and could have been a disaster for my upholstered and wood furniture, but everything arrived in perfect condition. I was only moving a mile away, but I have a lot of stuff, and they had to move some to our self-​storage and the rest to my new place. The entire move was accomplished in the estimated time of five hours. I felt the price was reasonable, and the guys went above and beyond for us. John came at the beginning, and, since it was raining, he stayed awhile and helped his men, which undoubtedly sped up the operation and helped with the bottom line. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use then again – though, hopefully, I won’t be moving again for a very long time!

These guys were a life saver! My first moving company blew me off and I called John that afternoon, and they were able to help me the next day. They are all very kind, efficient, and did a great job! They even put my bed skirt on! I would definitely use them for future moves!

These guys are fantastic. Best communication, polite, on time and really, really careful. We needed a few things moved and my sister-​in-​law recommended John and his team. She has used them for one move and has them on the books for another next week. They were that good. You absolutely can not go wrong with Island Moving Pros.
