My husband and I have stopped here on two separate occasions and both times we were getting dessert. I had their chocolate mouse cake which had great chocolate flavor as well as an amazing mouse filling. But most recently we stopped and got the caramel pecan cake and WOW. This may be one of the best pieces of cake I’ve ever had. The cake was so moist and the icing was a pecan praline icing. We definitely will go back to try something else.

Everything I’ve had here in the past has been delicious. Recently I stopped by to pick up an apple walnut cake for a get together at a friends house. When we cut into it the middle was frozen. Disappointed as I assumed the cake was fresh. I wish the bakery had said something; especially for what I paid. My friend said it was delicious once it thawed.

My go to spot for lunch! Simple, but just like Mom would make for you as a kid!

OUTSTANDING! The service was great and the variety of products will blow your mind. I purchased a double chocolate cake, A huge jar of Gumbo Sauce and a slice of Carrot cake to munch on as I drove home. Who would have thought there were so many delicious treats and goodies in this little quaint store nestled behind giant trees with hanging Spanish Moss. There is a huge variety of cakes, cookies, pies, and biscuits. There were rows and rows of home made cooking sauces for a large variety of dishes, Gumbo, Stew, Seafood dishes, Chicken Dishes, Beef, Pork, BBQ, etc. There was also a large variety of wines from different and local vineyards(I am going to try one bottle soon). Today, I am picking up a frozen dinner(There are breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees in the freezer section). Shrimp & Grits, Pasta Dishes, Meat dishes all starting at only $ 6.99!!! You can’t beat that… Great little place for pastries, wine, cooking sauces and if you need a frozen meal while on a budget.

Stopped here to kill time waiting for page’s okra grill to open. The wife ordered a brownie and I got a cheese Danish. Both were good. The cakes looked delicious and we are thinking about getting a coconut cake for the raid trip back to MD.

OMG is your coconut cake FABULOUS. light and moist with the freshest loveliest flavor. My daughter said it tasted like it was made with love. I had been debating a few different bakeries(new to the area) and am I sooo glad I chose Kudzu! I am very picky and this cake exceeded my standards. This will be a tradition. Thank you for helping me finish off our early Christmas dinner so wonderfully.

We have passed this place many times but only recently have we stopped by. What a cool little place! They have great pastries, cinnamon rolls, cookies, and cakes. Sometimes they are out of what you want so don’t go too late in the day. I ordered a coconut cream cake for my wife’s birthday and it was absolutely incredible and very well priced. This is our go to bakery! Kudzu also has a large selection of frozen products such as meat, pastries, biscuits, vegetables, soups and appetizers. They also have a great deal of large dried and canned local products. This place is pretty darn awesome.

Stopped in on a Thursday morning between errands. I was just looking for a coffee and maybe a small pastry. Inside, the ‘bakery’ seemed more like a small grocery(fridges along 2 walls, lots of wine and canned goods). They had a large display case of full-sized cakes but few individually sized options. I settled on the cinnamon roll and a self-serve coffee. Service was quick and pleasant, but the food was just passable. The coffee was watery and flavorless despite the local beans on display nearby. The cinnamon roll was crumbly and overly sweet(I suspect it wasn’t freshly made this morning). For my $ 5, I think I would have been better off next door at that well-known coffee chain.

Great spot. We have enjoyed the in Litchfield/Pawleys Island for years. Great to have them in MTP. Love the wheat bread they do. All sweets rock.
