We’ve never been disappointed here. Their salad bar is fresh and well stocked. And their sandwiches and burgers are awesome! I have come back again and again for the Wildfire Tuna sandwich. My husband has worked his way around the inventive burger menu. We have always left happy and full and looking forward to our next visit.

A laid back kind of style. Seat yourself. Friendly staff. Good fish sandwiches. It came with fries, and they weren’t seasoned. I appreciated that since I could then salt to taste. Good tartar sauce.

We know we can always get a good meal at Grille 31. The owners and staff are great! The soups are good and we like the variety on the salad bar. Highly recommended!

The salad bar saves this place. The soups are«homemade» just like Campbells. The sandwiches are large, skew toward Polish specialties and extra cheese. Can’t speak to any of the other items, but the portions seemed large on plates across the room. The locals seem to like the place – its too bad for you if you’re an out-of-towner, though. Our server was brusque and put out by our questions.

I finally discovered where everyone in Mt. Pleasant goes to eat dinner on Saturday night. While most of the other places I have visited have seldom been busy, Leo and Son’s Grill 31 was packed. They must be doing something right. I think there are two things going for it. First, the heavy Veterans’ presence. The walls are covered with photos of the local men and women who fought in America’s wars. I found it heart warming to see so many faces in black and white, even though I knew only one man who would be up there(and couldn’t find him). Second, the space is deceptively large and has the feel of a diner with a lot of bustle and large plates of food and low prices. The rooms were filled with large parties and families chowing down. What about the food? That’s another story. Graded on a curve for location, price, and quantity, the stars begin to mount up. But, approached honestly, it’s hard for me to move past three big ones. My son ordered the Double Grilled Cheeseburger; something like a patty melt on Texas Toast. He said it was the best burger he’s had around there. That’s good. I went with the Chicken Florentine, one of the dinners, as opposed to the something on the Sandwich/Burger menu. It was disappointing. While the Chicken Breasts were ample, and the Mashed Potatoes pretty good, rather than an authentic Florentine(Fresh Spinach Sautéed with Garlic in Extra Virgin Olive Oil), they poured Creamed Spinach in a heavy white sauce over the Chicken. CREAMEDSPINACH?! I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. It was pathetic. I scraped off what I could and ate the Chicken. I guess I should have known that I would not get the true Italian version. Next time, we will stick with the burgers.

The grilled tuna sandwich was really good and the buffalo chicken wrap so tasty! Liked the salad bar, but it had typical items.

Really a nice place to grab lunch in the area! They have interesting naval décor with lots of pictures of navy vets and medals. The food was excellent. I started with the soup which gave me a choice of 3. I had the chicken minestrone. Yum! You get the soup and salad bar for $ 2.99 with your meal purchase or $ 8.99 alone. I had the Philly chicken cheesesteak. It was just great. Nice waitstaff too! Try it!!!

If you haven’t checked out this place, you should! The atmosphere is outstanding, Leo’s dedication to our veterans is apparent and not just on veteran’s day! Love the salad bar, the drinks and the huge menu to select from. I’m glad we have a real down-home local place to enjoy, just not enough of those around here. Keep up the good work Leo and Sons, we need you in this area!!!

Great local place. Salad bar is one of the best around, well attended and fresh. Soups change daily and are usually three selections. Tables are well spaced. They have some local craft beers on tap which are definitely worth a try. Prices are very reasonable. Basically a good burger place. Can get crowded at lunch time with business crowd, but that’s because it is a good place to go. The owner«Leo» is usually there which keeps the quality consistant.

Not bad, but stay away from the wings. The cook must have a salt fetish. Soup was good, and outside seating is great.

I love this place. It has become a staple for lunch when I’m in Mt. Pleasant and I bet I’ve eaten there 30 times or more. It’s such an easy choice. Leo moved to this convenient corner a few years ago from his place down the hill(Leo’s Pub and Grill) after he sold that place. Don’t be confused though. Grille 31IS Leo’s — the other place is a pretender and not worth it now. The food here is amazing. Every day there are 3 lunch specials on the white board as you enter — all include the soup and salad bar. You’d be wise to start there. The salad bar is fabulous — three kettles of delicious homemade soups which are a highlight for me. So tasty! They do know how to make great soup. The salad bar is fabulous and includes everything you could possibly want — and some surprises. And that’s just the start! Follow that with your lunch entrée which could be lasagna, chicken parmesan, tuna melt, stuffed cabbage — who knows? Everything I’ve ever had there was really good. REALLY good. Go to Grille 31. You’ll thank me.

The food here is fantastic! Everything from the always fresh salad bar to the soups are OUTSTANDING! The view from the restaurant windows is of the veterans park — and Mount Pleasant is clearly proud of their service members. The owner(Leo) is almost always on site and his staff is always pleasant and super attentive! A favorite spot of locals it seems and definitely is of mine as well!

The food was very good and the portions were so large, we did not make it through ½ of our meals.

We’ve come here for lunch a handful of times, and it’s consistently good. I like their salad and soup bar, and they have a pretty decent selection of sandwiches, burgers, and entrees. I don’t think we’ve ever been disappointed. Décor is modern, clean, and relaxed, with local military and historical memorabilia. Service is friendly. I’d say Grille 31 is one of the nicer places to enjoy a casual lunch in the Mt. Pleasant area. We haven’t tried them for dinner, so can’t comment on that.

This is one of my wife and I’s favorite lunch spots. The burgers may be the best around. The Turkey club on fresh croissant is awesome. I also enjoy the Hidden Ranch Burger. Oh, and best fried zucchini in the tri state area.

Leo and Son’s is the latest incarnation on the Diamond, and it attracts hordes of visitors, setting it apart from any other establishment for miles around. Indeed, a restaurant hasn’t been this busy in this town since the days of the Roma Room. Our wait on a Saturday night for a party of three was about 45 minutes. By comparison, the other restaurants in town offered no lines — everyone who wanted to eat out in the area, was here. The establishment is fairly simple in its design and purpose. The color scheme is literally black and white. High above, in a makeshift frieze, photos of veterans from the wars of the last century are aligned, side by side. Below the photos are various showcases remembering those who have served and those who are serving now. This is not entirely random though, as the extensive tribute serves as a counterbalance to the war memorial that was recently built across the street from the restaurant. Yes, in a building that once was THE place to visit for authentic Italian cuisine, is now a hotbed for patriotism. You can’t go home again, as it were. The ambience is generally loud and frenetic. This is helped by a bar at the entrance, the many folks in line, the packed seating, and the live music that is being played. It is quite the contrast to the otherwise sleepy town that sits outside. The menu is strictly(traditional) American fare with a slight nod to Polish specialties, taking into account the local community. Not my favorite collection of food, I went with an order of the crispy, deep fried, jumbo chicken wings and chose the full soup and salad bar for a slight increase in the price. I was served 10 wings, and I was able to choose 2 of the 3 available sauces, so I selected bourbon BBQ and garlic parmesan. The wings arrived as advertised: plump, juicy, and crispy. I did not find the BBQ sauce to be all that remarkable; it was sweet, but otherwise not nuanced by the alcohol. The garlic parmesan was delicious though. Little slivers of fresh garlic, cheese used in a way to complement the taste rather than smother it. These were great wings. The salad bar was fine, though the selection of greens was minimal(no spinach, frisee, etc. here). The soups were generally good. Their very simply prepared chicken noodle soup had me going back for more which is noteworthy. Additionally I tried my mother’s zucchini parmigiana, and I was actually impressed. This would have been a delicious dish to have to myself. So while they keep the menu simple, they take the time to prepare the items well. Also, our server was especially capable and friendly. For the area, recommend.
