Within a 2 mile radius from my house, I have a Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Publix, Bi-Lo and Harris Teeter. I have shopped at all of them several times(only went into Bi-Lo once and swore I would never be back), and I think I have it figured out… This Publix is absolutely wonderful. I was beginning to get frustrated with the other stores in my area, and remembered that this guy was down the street. I was having a horrible day and decided to just end it and go grocery shopping, something I actually enjoy doing. Every single employee I encountered in here was so, so friendly and helpful. The woman in the seafood department gave me some pointers on cooking shrimp, a man stopped me and asked if I needed any help picking out produce. Seriously, customer service in here gets 10 stars! This Publix is very clean and has a great selection of meat, seafood, and produce. The produce is very, very fresh, something I can’t say about some of the other stores in the area. The seafood and meat counters offer quite a variety, and are decently priced for the quality at hand. The only reason I am giving Publix 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the prices. Some items can be quite expensive here, so I recommend taking advantage of their online website where you can clip digital coupons and keep your eye on their sales!

I highly recommend the online ordering for publix deli. The bread is crunchy, the meats/cheeses, veggies are fresh. You can schedule the time you pick up and your order is waiting for you. I also like how they individually wrap the halves of the sub within the bag. Try the italian or the chicken finger sub.

Friendly staff of any local grocery store! Customer service is great. The check out staff take great care in bagging the groceries properly, asking if you found everything, helping you to the car if needed, etc… Love this store.

Dropping it a star. I only come to this Publix for their deli during lunch. They always have a weekly sandwich special which is always tasty. But I am so tired of getting there to wait in a 5+ person line to be told that they either ran out of the meat for the special or that I have to wait another 8 – 10 minutes for something to finish cooking. If you know that you are offering something on special that sells well, then get your butts in gear and have extra made for the high flow lunch hour. Give me a break!

Publix is kind of a cool company because it is employee-owned. It considers itself a «premium» supermarket. In other words, Walmart, Publix is not. In fact, on our particular visit here, we can imagine a «People of Publix» website to be dedicated to attractive grocery shoppers instead of hilarious-looking ones. But I digress. Unlike Walmart, Publix does not have an Every Day Low Price(EDLP) pricing strategy. Instead, it is very much of a HiLo grocer. In other words, Publix very much uses loss-leaders in special sales to draw customers in and try to make their money by using attractive displays and value-added services to generate profitable revenue. The store looks like it’s largely achieving its intended goals. All the aisles are brightly-lit. Samples are available at certain places, especially around departments with high margin items such as a very robust Deli section. So, clean store, great lighting, low-profile shelves, and easy maneuverability combine to make this store a pretty good one.

Grocery shopping is probably my least favorite domestic duty, I hate it! Thus I would have a hard time giving any grocery store five stars, just because I hate the whole idea of grocery shopping. Publix would be the exception to that rule, if there was one, as they make the whole experience easy and painless. The store is always organized with all of the best weekly deals on display front and center when you walk in the front doors. Beyond the front doors and weekly specials is the famous Publix Deli Counter, a great place to stop for a quick lunch, beach food to-go or pre-packaged freshly made dinner on the run. The deli features made-to-order subs, cold salads of all varieties, fresh sushi, and a soup & hot fried chicken bar with sides to boot. They offer something for everybody, literally. The bakery is top notch, with fresh baked breads, donuts, cakes, crazy desserts and believe or not ice cream cakes. I don’t always order baked goods but when I do, they’re ice cream cakes, from Publix. Because they are amaaaazing! The meat, produce and seafood departments are always fresh and well stocked with plenty of options available to throw together a quick & healthy meal without having to break the bank or snag a rotisserie chicken(Publix has great ones) and boxed sides. All and all, Publix is my number one grocer. The service is outstanding, they offer complimentary bagging service & the place is super clean. I just wish they were open later for us night owls! HOOHOO

This is a great Publix. Conveniently located off Route 17, the reason this Publix stands out is because of its large selection of wine and chilled beers, many of which were local brews. I also think the Olive Bar is a plus!

To me, this is the best grocery store in the metro Charleston area. It’s clean, well laid out, with a good selection of food(especially the deli). The staff is always friendly(how many places can claim that?) and helpful. The prices are, in general pretty reasonable, but not necessarily cheap. Still, Publix is an excellent grocery store.

One time I was looking for Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy but it seemed to be out of stock…3 managers walked by the beer aisle and tried to help find it in the back. No luck. THEN, as I was in the fruit department one of the managers came up with a 6 pack and said, «I heard you’re looking for these!» What? They found the beer, found me, and made my day. Also recently I was getting a 6″ sub for lunch… while picking out my little bottle of peach tea to go with it, an employee came over to recommend I buy the half gallon instead because it was Buy One Get One and therefore rang up cheaper than the little bottle. Right on! Publix has the best customer service!

Publix has a good veggie section and meats are pretty good. Better than most chains in the area. Boars head deli and subs to go are a great boat day staple. Not 24 hour tho like Teeter.

…why would you ever want to shop anywhere else? Publix is clean, friendly, great choices, good prices, high quality, best bread for any grocery bakery store around and great cakes !

This Publix store is super clean and has very friendly staff. I have found that their prices are not high — many things about the same as I pay at Super WallMart and I like this store so much better.
