Not great and confusingly slow. Tried to avoid a big sit down lunch at other places and figured a counter-order place would be quick. Miscalculation. Two sandwiches took 25 minutes after we ordered. 25 minutes! For two gyros. The sandwiches were really bland. Chicken was a bit dry(to be expected), but the lamb was surprisingly bland as well. And the portions are small!!! Seriously. $ 10 for a «four bite» lamb gyro. Very disappointing. Saw enough. No need to return.

Good food overall, fresh ingredients for sure. I had a chicken pesto gyro and chicken lemon soup for lunch. The soup was way to much on the lemon for me, but unique none the less. The chicken gyro is really good but the portions are small is my only complaint. The prices are a bit above average for lunch and with that I would expect a descent amount of food, not the case here. Nice dining area, nice patio.

Awesome food, reasonable prices and quick service! I wasn’t expecting such great food from somewhere with«fast food» type ordering or from a chain restaurant. The food is so fresh, and tastes like it’s someone’s family recipe. I’ve gone many times to pick up to-go orders as well as to dine in restaurant and it’s great every time. The dressing on the Greek salad is the best dressing I’ve ever had. Definitely will be returning.

Ugh why is Taziki’s the WORST. I promised I’d never go back after a terrible experience where they literally just forgot about my order and I left with my money back. But out of desperation, I went for dinner, ordered take out, and foolishly didn’t check the box before I left. Half of my meal was missing. Got the veggie plate with NOVEGGIES. What is wrong with you, Taziki’s…

I ordered the dolmades. Inside the dolmades had yellow rice only. It did not taste like the ones I’ve had before. Continental café is far better in making authentic dolmades. Then when I went to pick up the food the manager was obviously busy but didn’t even say Thank you or have a nice day. He just gave me the food took my card and silence… awkward…

We stopped at Taziki’s for a quick lunch on Friday… our second time this year while visiting in the Mt. Pleasant area. Still looks like a busy place getting much support from local residents as a good place to grab a bite. This visit my wife had the Spicy Pimiento Cheese sandwich, tomatoes & cucumbers, and chips. The sandwich was very good according to her… she said it was much like the Palmetto Pimiento Cheese made in SC and distributed now in a few of the markets in our area. I finally tried the lamb gyro… a bit messy and the paper wrapper does not seem to contain juices quite like when a gyro is foil-wrapped, and foil can be torn down as gyro is eaten. I wish that there had been more tzatziki sauce on the sandwich. The BESTTHING about this lamb gyro… real lamb pieces seasoned just right… and not the blended/sliced meat strips used many places. I am sure that the reason for using blended/sliced meat is that is that real lamb pieces are«chewy» and a turn off for some people compared to the more tender texture of the lamb«substitute.» I personally prefer roasted lamb pieces or slices. I had the pasta with feta side and chips. For«fast food» this is tasty Greek/Mediterranean fare at a very reasonable price. Servers are friendly and quite ready to offer suggestions or accommodate requests. Order & pay at counter; servers bring food to tables when ready.

We’ve been here several times, every time the service gets worse and worse. Tonight they completely forgot about my girlfriends order. After receiving my food and waiting 25 mins we asked what the deal was. Apparently they were out of the dish and knew but didn’t bother to even say anything. They were too worried about cleaning up so they could get off in 45mins to even care about the customers they had. It wasn’t busy at all so there is no excuse except for laziness and carelessness. We won’t be coming back.

Great, fresh food. I always get the veggie plate and it’s the best. Make sure you try the roasted potatoes. Pasta specials always tasty and excellent gyros. Mt. Pleasant location convenient and plenty of seats.

Went there with my boyfriend for a quick bit. Really good amazing food, atmosphere and quick service. However the lamb is not authentic because we used to the shaved lamb gyro meat so we were disappointed by that.

This is strictly on take out. I don’t know if they were super swamped or if they purposefully skimp on your take out orders. So weird too because all the people eating inside had a big beautiful plate of food. I ordered the grilled lamb gyro. I really wish I had my phone on me to take a picture of this laughable joke of a gyro. Let me paint the picture for ya. Pita was very thick, fresh and chewy. Open it up to see what the inside looks like. After you get past the lettuce, the are 2 slices of tomato. Underneath that, the lamb portion was…, well take a regular hotdog and cut it in half. Then take that half and cut it in half again. Discard all of it but one quarter of it and place it in the gyro. That’s how much lamb was on it. I honestly wished that there was no meat on it and thought, the cook obviously forgot to put meat on it. That was just under 11 bucks. I will never ever ever order take out from this place again. Unbelievable! Now you’re asking yourself, well why didn’t you just give it 1 star. Well I gave it 2 stars because of the atmosphere and delicious looking food on all the tables. Wished I could have stayed and ate there. Maybe they would have made me a real gyro.

Food: 3 Ambience: 3 Service: 4 Date/Time: 5÷9÷20151:30pm As a fan of Greek Fiesta(chain restaurant with a similar business model), I had similar expectations in the taste of the food. For instance, I ordered a similar dish of a chicken gyro. This restaurant had a thinner tzatziki sauce so it was much runnier coming out of the pita, yet there wasn’t enough of it to blend in taste with the chicken. The food was good, but I would have to rate Greek Fiesta higher. It does provide more service than Greek Fiesta as the food is brought to you instead of you going back up to the counter to get it when your number is called. We also ordered the special which was a chicken and penne pasta salad with a balsamic vinegarette. It was tasty but too heavy on the pasta and not enough on the chicken. Overall a decent restaurant to try!

I really, really wanted to love this place. It is well decorated on the inside and very clean, and looked promising! We ordered the pork loin and the salmon(I asked how the salmon was, she responded with a resounding ammaaaaaaazing). Placed our order for takeout, and it was ready within about 10 minutes. Got the food home and started to nosh… The salmon was sadly too well done, and didn’t taste incredibly fresh. My boyfriend enjoyed his pork loin, but wasn’t blown away by it. The roasted new potatoes that come on the side are good, but a bit lemony. I am planning on ordering a gyro next time we come here, and hopefully that will be better!

I had fallen in love with Greek food 40 years ago and enjoy trying new Mediterranean restaurants. After a friend recommended this restaurant for lunch I was ecstatic. I have never written a review before but I felt compelled to do so after eating the worst gyro I have ever had. There was nothing reminiscent of a gyro. The three other diners joining me experienced their meal as I did… the gyro was tasteless, dry and boring. Luckily the portion was small and hidden in the pita unlike other gyros that are juicy, fragrant and falling out of the wrapped paper. The staff was friendly and the surroundings clean and comfortable. I am in disbelief as to how a greek restaurant cannot make even an average gyro. Thumbs, fingers and toes down…

What a great place. Semi-casual but nice enough for a date! You order and pay for your food at the counter and are given a number to display at your table. The food is brought out to you. The place is quite large and spacious. I had a Mediterranean salad which was extremely fresh and wonderful. It included garbanzo beans and feta. Highly recommend this. Overall a great fresh and tasty option to go to.

Really bad takeout experience. The pita chips were stale, lamb was overdone/tough, and the hummus and Taziki sauce was inedible. Threw away/gave the dog most of it.

We stopped by as a spur of the moment quick find. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could! It’s casual dinning with great food and staff was nice. The food came quickly and my husband who drinks like a fish received all refills within a timely manner. I had the lamb gyro. The only reason the restaurant isn’t getting 5 starts is due to the toughness of the lamb. The roasted potatoes, cucumber salad, pimento cheese, and pita chips were excellent!

My fiancé and I stopped in for a quick lunch. The manager was incredibly friendly and explained how they worked since it was the first time we’d stopped in. My fiancé had the grilled pork tenderloin feast — and feast is an accurate name! It was a full plate of Greek salad, rice, grilled asparagus, and pork. I had the grilled veggie gyro with the roasted potatoes. The veggies were full of flavor and tender, and the pesto aioli was delicious! The décor and ambiance are bright and casual and they also have an outdoor dining area. We will definitely be back on a day better conducive to sitting outside!

Really mediocre food. Feels more like a chain than an authentic mediterranean meal. I had the mez platter and my husband had the pasta special. Both of us were really underwhelmed with the quality and taste. We will not be going back.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. We have eaten at the downtown location, and there aren’t really any good Mediterranean places to eat in Mt P. The restaurant is a good size, with ample seating. You place your order at the counter, and they bring it out to you. I had the beef tenderloin gyro, it was really yum, as a side I chose the basmati rice, which I did not like. The flavor was just off to me… My hubby had the lamb gyro, he liked that it was chunks of lamb. He had the roasted potatoes as a side, which were good. Both my kids had the turkey melt. It was a good portion size, and came with fruit… The adult meals also came with ruffle potato chips, I wish it was pita chips instead… Over all, it was a good lunch and we’ll be back!

I was thrilled when Taziki’s announced that it was expanding its operation … and would be opening a Mediterranean Café in the space vacated by Locklear’s. ‘We’re coming’ signs were posted on the façade and within just a few weeks, the café opened(soft opening … under the radar!) last week. The facility is set-up like Taziki’s Café on King Street and its other locations in the chain. It’s casual dining at its best! We walked in, proceeded to a large open station, we read a three fold paper menu, selected and paid for our food orders including beverages, received a plastic numbered card of which we were asked to place in a table top stand. We also placed a tip in a container near the POS as the crew shares gratuities. I would have preferred to see a posted menu, prior to the point of sale; however, my hub didn’t mind, at all. Taziki’s offers homemade Greek, Mediterranean and Caesar salads($ 6.79) that can be ordered, as is, or topped with grilled chicken, turkey breast, beef tenderloin($ 9.59) grilled lamb($ 10.59! homemade chicken salad($ 7.99), as well as grilled tilapia($ 10.29). shrimp($ 11.29) or salmon($ 11.99). If you love gyros, the café had many selections ranging from $ 6.99 to $ 9.39, served with your choice of a healthy, homemade side such as a Greek pasta or cucumber-tomato salad. TazIki’s offers a large variety of mediterranean style sandwiches and wraps, built with combinations of protein and veggies, served with a side ranging from $ 6.59 — $ 8.49. The signature ‘Taziki’s Feast’ includes a Greek salad, choice of Basmati rice or roasted red potatoes and the same proteins offered as toppings for salads and range from $ 9.79 for grilled chicken breast to $ 12.99 for grilled salmon. Two vegetarian plates are offered, both under $ 9.00. Taziki’s offers a small selection of wine and beer. As it was a casual meal, we selected a glass of the house red and the house white. At $ 4.50 a glass, and a good pour, it was a good deal.(The other wines were $ 9 a glass … a bit steep considering the price range and casual dining style. I ordered a Greek salad topped with beef tenderloin; my hub ordered the char grilled lamb feast. We picked up our glasses of wine and selected a booth in the rear of the large, attractive dining area.(There are high tops and tables, also.) Within minutes, a server brought two, piping hot, nicely filled bowls of Taziki’s signature homemade Greek Lemon Chicken soup. The white meat chicken(lots of it!) was tender, in addition to carrots, onions and rice. The broth had a bit too much oregano. for my taste, however, bright, fresh lemon made the soup an overall enjoyable starter and we’ll try it again. We were given ample time to enjoy our soup before our entrees arrived. My Greek salad was an ample mound of everything you expect … and lots of it … no skimping, here… topped with 4 or 5 perfectly grilled large slices of tenderloin that melted in my mouth. At first glance, my husband’s Feast was also large … a large portion of Greek salad, ample serving of perfectly roasted red potatoes and again, 4 or 5 large pieces of delicately seasoned, chargrilled, succulent lamb. Be sure to check out my photos. Dark Chocolate Cake with homemade Richmond icing, baklava and chocolate chip cookies are available to purchase for dessert; however, we were nicely full and passed on going back to the order station. Taziki’s caters and offers fresh take home dinners for 4 that are available for pick up after 2:00PM with an advance order. We loved our casual, well priced and very tasty dinner at Taziki’s Mediterranean Café. While many of the menu items are similar to Papa Zuzu’s, right up the street on Coleman, there are enough differences for each dining establishment to be successful in this market.
