This place was really neat. They have a great selection of olive oils AND really neat balsamic vinegars. When you go in, they will give you a bowl with small pieces of bread so that you can sample the many different oils and vinegars. The staff is helpful and informative and very kind! We left with two bottles of vinegar(a maple version which I think will be awesome on salads with bacon in them) and a honey-ginger vinegar. I also got a couple of cute little starfish bowls for dipping. Win-win on this cute little place!

I regret that I can’t recall the gentleman who helped me and my husband but he was great. We live in Houston and he offered to ship for $ 14! He offered me bread right away to taste the olive oils. They also have balsamic vinegars and plain clean olive oils but I didn’t taste those. I tasted almost all of the olive oils and me and my husband chose three oils to ship back. We purchase the items on Saturday and we received them Tuesday. Everything was packed beautifully!

incredible knowledge and fantastic customer service. The certified ultra premium says it all you cannot find this quality anywhere in Charleston. Charlotte and mike are the real deal. I did like the Olive oil spritzer they had for sale. Puts the Mistto to shame. Go to their store and get educated.

I am so glad I found this place. I can finally enjoy having salad again. The unique blends were amazing. I learned a lot and bought a lot. I’ll bring friends next time and I now know where I am going to be doing my Christmas shopping for my foodie friends.

The staff at this location are very knowledgable about their oils and vinegars, as well as being great to suggest different pairings. I started out buying these at a show, but then quickly located their shop and made a trip in! It was especially great around Christmas when they sell«Favorites Bags» with 3 oils and 3 vinegars! Be sure to taste everything, even if it sounds strange! The dark balsamic are great for desserts and the garlic olive oil is INCREDIBLE when making pastas!

WOW! Stopped by The Crest Olive in Mt P today looking for Christmas gifts. What a delightful experience! I was cheerfully greeted and although my initial goal was to quickly look over the gift items I saw displayed in the window, I was encouraged to sample the many oils and vinegars the shop has to offer, as these would make nice gifts as well. This experience turned out to be the highlight of my day. With a basket full of bread in hand, I was wisked away to sample several of the unflavored EVOO’s. I was surprised by the many distinct flavors found in each. Next, I was escorted over to the numerous infused olive oils. PUREHEAVEN! As I was pointing out my favorites, Jean, my ‘hostess’ offered suggestions about types of foods that would compliment the favorites I was accumulating. She took the time to ask questions in order to tailor specifically to my favorite meals and palate. She also pushed me to be creative and to try combinations of oils and vinegars by mixing things together. After sampling several light balsamics, I was offered a scoop of vanilla ice cream to sample the shop’s generous variety of dark balsamic vinegars. UNBELIEVABLE! Such a unique experience! Smiles, enthusiasm, creativity, personalized service, and true southern hospitality, with a great selection of product and gift ideas.(Ask for Jean) I purchased several gifts for those on my list, as well as for myself. I highly recommend The Cresent Olive and will definitely become a regular shopper. No more grocery store oils or vinegars me! Oh… and if you wash out your bottle and recycle with them, you receive a dollar off your next purchase. Lastly, I can not close without mentioning the cherry on top… brownies made with blood orange olive oil. You’ve gotta check out this place!

Over the summer, I visited a similar shop to The Crescent Olive in Rochester, NY. When I got home, I started searching to see if Charleston had a similar store. Unfortunately, we did not. Then a few months later, I saw a Groupon for The Crescent Olive and was super happy that Charleston now had a speciality Olive oil and balsamic store. Fast forward to this weekend when I finally had time to get to Mt. P and check it out. The store itself has a nice corner spot in Seaside Farms. It’s spacious with ridiculously high ceilings. Inside there are shelves lined with silver containers of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. They also sell other items that are either local or family owned(or both), like seasonings, pastas, sauces, pottery and art. The proprietor, Charlotte, quickly approached us and was eager to show us the store. Here’s how it works if you’ve never been here: 1. Walk in 2. Learn about olive oil 3. Get bread 4. Try olive oils 5. Try balsamic vinegars 6. Try them together in crazy good combinations 7. Get a scoop of ice cream 8. Try ice cream with sweet balsamics 9. Die and go to heaven This stuff ain’t cheap so be on a lookout for a Groupon in the future, but it is seriously worth the price. Also reserve a good amount of time(about an hour) for your first visit to the store. It is not the kind if place you walk in and walk out of, it is an experience, so give yourself enough time to enjoy it! We ended up walking out with a 18 year balsamic, a strawberry balsamic, tuscan herb olive oil, chipotle olive oil, and basil oil. I would highly recommend trying a chipotle oil/pineapple balsamic taste test in the store. It was amazing!

Never in my life had I heard of olive oil tastings, but some relatives came to town and brought me along on their little adventure. First off, the owner is super nice and obviously loves educating people on the health benefits and quality of good olive oils. She did a mini-lesson with us and another couple and then let us go sample all the oils with bread. I can’t remember all my favorites but the garlic one was awesome. Then, we got to try the flavored vinegars with vanilla ice cream! Vinegar on ice cream?! Yes! The chocolate and raspberry ones were delicious. My aunt and uncle ended up buying like 3 – 4 bottles of oil/vinegar. It’d totally be worth it to check this place out for the great flavors, information, and amazing customer service.
