After having to take both previously repaired pieces back in for re-repair, I have to lower Acutrack’s rating. The SWR2×10’s cones came unglued playing at normal volume, and the other amp head issue that was previously fixed and purring like a kitten, had to be completely re-done a year later. I know they are shipping stuff out to be repaired, but both pieces I’ve had repaired here had to be re-done a year later. Diagnosis will take a week, and repairs, longer; so you better have backup equipment if you have a gig coming up. I’ve yet to find a reliable one-stop shop for amp repair in Chicago that does both solid state and tubes. If you have a recommendation, please let me know.

First I must say that the guy Jim that works there is absolutely wonderful and these guys seem to really know what they are doing. HOWEVER, the president would not release the part number to me when I PAID to have a problem diagnosed. Its shady. Another interesting point: When I looked them up on Unilocal there were other bad reviews. They are mysteriously gone. Check back and see if this review is still here before you stop in !
