So excited to see a new restaurant in Mount Prospect, but will probably never return here to eat. There were 6 at our table. First, our appetizer arrived without the sauce. It was replaced by a sauce that tasted like vinegar. We pointed this out and another was brought. Completely different sauce. Service was slow and two dishes were finally brought out. 15 minutes later the same two dishes were brought to our table. Waiter left both with us? We pointed out that 3 people had not been served. Waitress said it was a technical problem. Manager offered us a free dessert or appetizer the next time we cam. Really? 3 people were done eating before the others were served. Shocked when the bill arrived. Way overpriced for what we got.

Food is pretty good. We waited over 5 min for anyone to approach our table. Service was slow. It took 45 mjns to get burgers and chili. They were decent not great. Call me when you figure out the service. Disappointing.

Very disappointed in this place. Came here to see a favorite band play and decided to have dinner before hand. The menu is limited and overpriced. A friend had the chili but had to send it back could not stomach it. Finally decided in a burger and fries. Said it was ok. His wife got a burger with a side salad. Said it was ok but the vegetables tasted like they were cut with a dirty knife. I got a grilled chicken breast with sautéed Brussel sprouts. The chicken tastes like it was old and the vegetables were horrible. Our waitress was very nice. We will not be back and do not recommend this place.

Went to Bar 145 on a Friday night and there was lots of parking when we arrived around 6−7ish pm. We sat by the bar and I was amazed by their bourbon/whiskey selection. The bartenders were all very friendly and they knew their liquors. I had most of their cocktails and they were all very tasty and strong. My favorite would have to be the Four Broses. We ordered from the BYOB(Build Your Our Burger) menu and got Kobe Beef, Pretzel bun, black truffle oil, argula, chipotle cheese, and pickles. The Kobe beef was made perfectly and very delicious. Also had a side of tempura green beans which was good, but i wish they had a spicy-mayo sauce to go with it. We also ordered the lobster mac n cheese which was very cheesy and had good amounts of lobster in there. I would go back to Bar 145 to try out more of their food menu and. The atmosphere was very nice and modern. They had a lot of big screen TVs which would be nice to go there to watch a game.

Went in on a Thursday night at 5pm. Around 4 tables full of people and still had to wait to get waters or a drink. Ordered beers and food. Burger was just OK, fries was more rosemary than truffle. Kids ordered the $ 5 kids meal, but then the check came and it was $ 5 plus $ 2 for a drink and then $ 2 for fruit. Had to tell the waiter 3 different times to fix the check. Please print a beer list. Don’t be lazy and write«Revolution Seasonal» …thus just makes us ask the waitress who then says«I don’t know, let me check». Just laziness there, fix it by printing an actual beer menu. Probably trying one more time, but not much faith.

Its a very cool place and the décor is super cute. I know they switched owners and the name and look, did a great job. The staff is very nice and helpful but my friend asked if they have apple juice to make a drink with and they said no but the drink menu said it had apple juice in another drink, the waitress said so just ignore it LOL umm ok !!! The food was just ok, nothing to write home about for sure. The pretzel bites and those were good but i had the, i believe $ 15, lobster mac N cheese and it was maybe a cup and a half full. The shrimp n grits were $ 11 and u get about 10 small shrimp and a little grits. The poutine was not good ATALL. And the chicken and waffles was so dry. I saw on some other reviews about the prices for the portion isnt worth it and i couldnt agree more. Just for dinner my husband and I was $ 60 when I could go to Outback and spend $ 50 and have food to take home. So i will def go there again, its a cool place fore sure but i will eat before i go or stick with the pretzel bites. They need to either lower their prices or make the portions bigger! Also, a friend hot a make your own burger, by the time he added some toppings he had a $ 25 burger THATS crazy !!

This place needs to get their stuff together! We started off by ordering the 12pc wings. We asked our waiter if they had buffalo sauce and/or anything spicier than what was listed, he said yes. So we split the wings with 2 sauces, 6pc hot honey and according to our waiter we would get 6 hot. Well… we didn’t get that, they brought us 12 of the hot honey, no big deal. The guy that brought us the wings noticed that we ordered two different sauces, he then takes 6 of the wings back and 10 minutes later they brought us 6 bbq wings. Mind you, before we ordered any appetizers, we had asked for water and I ordered a beer. Our appetizers made it to the table before the waters, beer and appetizer plates. We had to ask for everything. I understand that this place has been open for a few weeks now and the kinks are being worked out but that’s no excuse for the lack of attention. I ordered the breakfast burger with truffle fries. Burger was just ok, truffle fries were well… not truffle. They were just regular fries with rosemary. You cannot taste any of the truffle. My wife ordered a salad, she said it was good. I’m not one to really complain about food or service but at this point I was annoyed. I ended up ordering two more beers at the same time for fear that we wouldn’t see our waiter again. We also ordered our son a kids Mac and Cheese of which according to the menu included fruit. Upon receiving the check we noticed that they charged us $ 2 for the fruit. We had to tell and read the menu to our waiter before this was corrected. All in all the service was below average and the food was mediocre. If this place wants to survive in the downtown MP, they better step their game up. On a plus side, they have a great beer selection.

Came here with some friends. Takin care of very well. Sean was a little busy when we sat down so the Manager James came to take our drink order. After that both of them followed up with us regularly. Great beer selection with a lot of rotating drafts. I will definitely be returning!

I’ll admit, I’m grading on a curve considering they just opened. We came in to try them out around 4 pm on a Saturday. The décor of the place was nice — the red lights were a little«clubby» for my tastes, but overall the place was clean and fresh-looking. We sat at the bar and ordered a few draft beers. Because the draft list was not printed, our bartender had to give us his«cheat sheet» — basically a printout on a receipt — a little tacky, but I’m being lenient since they just opened. The male bartender was friendly and attentive. We sampled two appetizers. The pretzel bites were quite good considering their simplicity and the cheese dipping sauce was amazing. The fried cheese curds, which were just OK — not as light and airy as others I’ve had — seemed more like mozzarella sticks cut into small bites. I agree with the other reviewer who suggested they print out their draft list. I also like to see the printed list rather than having to ask the server for all the«seasonals.» Also, it would be nice(and just good marketing savvy) to print out a list of upcoming bands and have it at the table. Overall, it was pretty good — decent food and good beer selection. We’ll be back to try the burgers. Lastly, since you’re catering to suburban clientele, many of whom have kids — how about starting the live music earlier than 10 pm? I can’t be the only person who likes live music, but doesn’t want to be out too late .or maybe I’m just old. Nah — that can’t be it.

I recently spent an hour sitting on the floor at Comcast trying to get my cable box returned. After visiting Bar 145 I think I preferred that to the three hour ordeal that Bar 145 subjected me to. I arrived with a party of six. That’s not a particularly large group and we were told that there would be a twenty minute wait. That was fine with us. Concern began to grow as we passed the half hour mark without anyone on the server staff telling us anything. Additional concern began to grow as we noticed parties that arrived after us being seated before us. I asked the servers what the deal was and they said that they were waiting for a specific table upstairs for us. Apparently, the idea of putting two tables together for a party of six was unheard of. In any case the thirty minutes turned to forty and then fifty. At the hour mark my party was beginning to get really upset. They’re lucky there aren’t too many other options nearby or we would have left. Oh how I wish we had left. At the 64 minute mark, over an hour, we were finally seated at a pair of tables on the ground floor. This was after nine parties after us were all seated. Our waitress came over and immediately did not make things better. We tried to place drink orders right away but the waitress did not know the difference between bottles and draught so she went to find out which one Revolution was. My party managed to sneak in an order of appetizers on the drink order, as you might imagine we were quite hungry at this point. Additionally, even the basic delivery of water was messed up as we had to ask for sixth glass of water. They only gave the six of us five glasses of water. The appetizers took 27 minutes, a no longer surprisingly long amount of time for them. However, our table was prepared for us in such a rush that we were not provided silverware or napkins when we sat. When the apps came out they did nor provide us with plates. I don’t know about any of you but six people eating poutine fries with only their fingers is not something I want to be a part of. I spent another seven minutes trying to flag down ANY server to get plates, napkins, and silverware, without success. The manager, or at least someone dressed more professionally than the wait staff, walked by my table twice and did not notice me waving both of my arms and looking at her. So I took matters into my own hands. There was nobody up at the server booth where the silverware was so I went up to it, it was only five feet from my table, and grabbed six sets of napkins and silverware. As I was returning to my table the manager came up to me and asked«Did you need utensils?» I responded with«My table has needed utensils for a half hour.» My frustration did not trigger any change in quality from them as after I sat down she came back and said«Can you ever forgive us?» What kind of question is that? She should have said something like«What can I do to make your experience better?» In any case after I told her that it depended a great deal on the food she vanished from our attention. In fact, she never again came to our table or even made eye contact. The other members of my party all kept their eyes on her whenever we saw her and she specifically avoided both our table and any eye contact. Finally we placed our orders. It’s worth noting that the moment we sat down one of our party made clear that for the six of us there would be five separate checks. He said that before we even had water. When the food came out, nobody on the food delivery staff had any idea where the food went. Their music was so loud the staff couldn’t hear us as we tried to tell them who ordered what. Unfortunately, the six of us were only provided with five meals. One of the other party members and myself had both ordered the chicken and waffles but only one was brought out. Up to this point I was going to give our waitress the benefit of the doubt. However, she did not immediately check on us to see how the order came out. It was a good ten minutes before I managed to flag her down(she actually noticed this time) and asked her where the sixth meal was. She then took ANOTHER ten minutes to find out that the kitchen had never made our friend’s meal. She didn’t appear to put any rush on it because his meal did not appear in any hurry. As for the food itself it was thoroughly unimpressive. My wife ordered a medium rare burger, which should have red meat still in the middle or at least pink. Her’s was solidly grey throughout, also known as well done. That’s not a minor difference. Another friend ordered the Kobe burger. His $ 5 more expensive burger looked no different in size, color, shape, or anything that the other three burgers that were ordered. Two of the burgers came out on pretzel rolls that looked like Tom Brady had done some deflation work on them. And again, at no point did the manager check on this situation. For more on the disaster that paying was, please see their Facebook page for my review.

With the list of bourbon of about 40 paired up with a scratch kitchen, my visit to bar 145 was an amazing experience. I had the build your own burger with a bison patty, pretzel bun, pepper jack cheese and jalapeños and a side of maple bacon Mac and cheese. I will definitely be back!

Ok guys. I know you’ve just opened but a couple of things: 1. Print out beer menus for the tables. «Ask your server» just plain takes too long and I like to think about what beer to order. 2. We had the cheese curds. They were good but we got *maybe* 16 for $ 8. Come on, this isn’t New York. Up the portion size or lower the price. 3. I had the chicken and brie«panini». Paninis are supposed to be grilled. That is why they are called paninis. This was chicken and brie on focaccia. Either get a panini press(the sandwich would have been better that way BTW) or change the menu.

Love the look of the place! The staff was great and very attentive. The food was awesome! The pretzel bites were great– my boys ate them all and we even saved the dipping sauce for our fries later. The onion soup was the bomb– will definitely have it again. Husband had the Monte Crisco burger and I had the Balsamic Bleu burger– yummy and cooked just right. The boys(3 years old) liked the Kids Mac n Cheese. Our server Laney was so sweet and very helpful! Can’t wait to see a band there!
