BP Amoco

I normally don’t care about whatever gas stations I stop at, but this one was particularly awful. You’d think all BPs are pretty similar, but nope.
I made the mistake of coming here with a lowish tank because I was afraid I wouldn’t find any other gas stations before I ran out of gas.
Well. I definitely could have made it like 2 miles /​3 minutes west to Euclid and Rand had I remembered those existed. Funny how you don’t take note of these things normally sometimes.
This gas station a) sells their gas for at least 10 – 20 cents more expensive than any other gas station I saw in the west ‘burb/​north shore all day b) has dirty and old pump that are confusing and hard to use c) is full of broken nonfunctional pumps, and even some of the working ones have broken receipt dispensers.
It’s also annoying to left turn into and out of from both Euclid and Wolf. So. Head down the road to literally any other gas station.

Yesterday was my second stop at this corner gas station. Both times I was under the duress of a very low tank. YIKES! I instantly recalled the place I drove in. The prices are higher than other stations and the place is sadly neglected. It’s like a movie set of a movie about a forlorn gas station where naïve’ travelers foolishly stop. A hand-​written sign stated that debit cards will not work because the pin pad was broke. I used a credit card and when I asked for a receipt nothing spewed forth. Oh, yeah. That happened the first time. I’m thankful that I was able to get gas and left reminding myself that I need to check my tank more often.
