It was my first time here and I was invited to a party of about 20 so it’s a different experience than just regular dining I suppose, but the service was good and I really enjoyed the dinner. The décor is very nice, clean and modern and the party room was not too noisy so I was able to hear the speaker of the dinner speak clearly. The dinner started out with a popcorn shrimp appetizer that was perfectly done and not to overpowering in the breading department. Next we had the fried cauliflower with smoked pea hummous that had great flavoring and not too oily. The Caesar salad and the crispy brussels and kale salad were the best appetizers. I chose a ribeye for the main entrée topped with a fried egg that was perfectly cooked sunny side up and the steak was done medium rare even though it was a thin slice of beef so this was enjoyed! the desserts were a tad on the small side for us to share and we had to request more desserts at the end but between the carrot cake and chocolate tres leches, I definitely enjoyed the carrot cake the best and I prefer chocolate usually. I will definitely come back and try this place at dinner time with my hubby.

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. This was my first opportunity to dine here and I was really disappointed. First of all, the place was so dirty. Floor was sticky, dishes were nasty we had to ask to have them replaced. Coffee pot that she came to the table looked like it has never been washed. We sat at the window and on the frame of Windows, there were old food particles everywhere. Yuck! Maybe you can’t see all these nasties if it’s at dinner time, but I was there for lunch. The lady who served us was very rough, almost like working in a diner. Sushi(hamachi maki) smelled old and fishy. But I must say Kale/Brussel sprout salad was good. I’ll do a take out next time.

Shockingly upscale for Randhurst, an amazing place to bring a date. It’s really classy inside. My boyfriend and I had our anniversary dinner here and I couldn’t have been happier. Its a quiet imitate place and the staff is excellent. We started with the bacon jam quesadillas, total slam dunk. I had squid ink pasta and sake(can’t remember the brand… Dang) but both were superb. He had mussels and duck hash and both were amazing. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get gussied up and not wanting to drive all the way out to the city.

Came here on Valentine’s day with my family. No reservations but came at an early time and was promptly seated by the bar. From walking in I was pretty amazed at the space. This is located in a suburban mall and being accustomed to Chicago dining I was pleasantly surprised. The menu also surprised me as I saw a lot of Filipino inspired dishes. Just coming back from a month long trip to the Philippines I was a bit fatigued of the flavors so I ordered other menu items.(Next time I am in the area I will definitely try the asian dishes). The ribeye was cooked a perfect medium rare and served w/an egg and potatoes. A very good executed take on a comfort dish of mine. What stole the show for me was the bone marrow tacos. My first bone marrow experience and I must saw I was impressed. I like to think I am a taco freak but I have never seen it served like this. Very primitive. Just a fat bone stuffed with meet and tortillas on the side. Assemble your own. Absolutely loved the presentation, taste, and picking up the bone to make sure I cleared it. Excellent. Wine program was good as well. Ordered 2 bottles as the atmosphere calls to have a little wine on your lips. This restaurant really took me aback. I have a somewhat snob complex when I think about $$-$$$ dining in the suburbs but I was overly impressed with my dinner here. Will I make the trip all the way out to dine here? Probably not to be honest but if I am in the area bet I will be here for the tacos.

Me and my friends went here sometime after lunch so no problems getting seated right away! I like the look and feel of this restaurant! Service was amazing as our waitress was on top of making sure our needs were met accordingly! Food had different flavors with various fresh ingredients making this an interesting Asian-fusion spot; however, I felt the portion for price was abit expensive… We enjoyed all the food we tried: Clam chowder, Not your ordinary caesar salad, +Filipino adobo style pork belly, Argentinean gaucho rib eye steak, Bone marrow and carne asada tacos(need more bone marrow!), Spicy tuna on crispy rice, +Island style tuna poke!

I went to E+O for their mother’s day brunch buffet. It was one of the worst and comical dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time based on the quality of the food, selection of the food, and the service(or lack thereof). I must qualify that I’ve been to E+0 multiple times for lunch and dinner previously and had a better experience, but this was based on an a la carte menu and not their ill fated brunch buffet. Snapshots — Food was unimaginative and selection was painstakingly generic i.e. I could get the same items and any local diner. Maybe my expectations were misplaced but E+O advertises themselves as infusing a contemporary and asian twist to their dishes. Not true by any stretch of the imagination for this brunch. Plain eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, etc. — Food taste was bland, under-seasoned, and just plain bad. Enough said. — They are not setup for a buffet model. The line was always 20 people deep, moved at a glacial pace, and food trays were usually empty. — In terms of service, I’ve never had a server avoid eye contact. I tracked our server as he aimlessly walked a lap around the entire restaurant. Didn’t seem like he was checking on his tables or delivering food … he just, took a lap for the fun of it. — They automatically charged a 20% gratuity regardless of party size for the brunch. Seems inappropriate for a buffet? Or perhaps I was just hypersensitive because of the preceding dining experience. It seems that this was purely a money grab for E+O and the event lacked any planning or imagination. I obviously won’t be going back for their brunch or any buffet themed event. Seems like it wouldn’t be worth the reputation hit but maybe not?

My review of this restaurant is relevant only to is breakfast menu. The room is gorgeous. Has a city feel to it. Great colors, tvs present in the bar but not the least bit intrusive or out of place. The food, while slow to get to our table in an empty room, was good and creative. Eggs cooked perfectly. Waffle chewy and sweet. The chilaquiles were the disappointment. Very little of the advertised pork belly. The menu does not offer typically traditional dishes although all the ingredients are present. My lower than expected rating is predominately based on price. For what you get, very costly. My southern hospitality item, one egg over a biscuit on top of a small pork tenderloin was $ 14. No toast. I ordered a side of tomatoes, $ 3. Don’t think beefsteak. See photo. Very costly. We will try dinner as that seems like the play. There is a traditional breakfast joint in the same strip center. Go there for your giant omelette, this is not the place. Breakfast for four, each with a drink was over $ 100.

E+O…I waited so long to come here! Finally, I did. I came here for lunch with my friend on a Saturday late afternoon, and it was pretty much dead. To me, that’s perfect timing. I love the décor. Beautiful ocean blues and modern lighting that is really unique. However… the booths… which look appealing from afar, are stained. Real bad. They need to clean those babies. We sat there because they looked comfortable, but later we realized that the stains were not actually part of the fabric pattern… it was just dirty. Turn off. So out waitress was the hostess… and the bartender… problem. She was obviously not happy about it and voiced it. I get it. I’ve worked these jobs, it’s frustrating. At the same time, if I acted like that at a job now, I would get fired. Her attitude was not great, from a customer prospective. I understand the frustration, but you are letting it out on the wrong person. Needless to say, had the service been better my review would also be better. But her attitude and treatment towards us ruined it. The food was great. We shared the beet salad and the mac and cheese. The food is downright fabulous. I don’t know who is in that kitchen but i’ll marry them. That’s how serious this food is. I ordered a ginger cocktail and I was not a fan, but I believe that’s my fault because I’m not the biggest ginger lover. I was feeling adventurous, so that’s my bad. Their dinner menu is VERY different from their lunch menu. To be honest their dinner menu is more appealing to me. I would come back to try that, just because the food is so good. But the service needs to be stepped up a notch, as well as the cleanliness of those booths.

I’ve been dying to try this place. Although we had good company and an overall fun night, we were a little disappointed. Atmosphere: Beautiful, modern décor. Interesting lighting and a city-chic vibe! Service: We were greeted wonderfully by the host, and our server Caitlyn was attentive, knowledgable about the menu and a pleasure to be served by. Menu: Fussy! There’s a lot to work through before you find the right dish. An overly eclectic menu — it’s all over the place! American, Asian contemporary, sushi, European … What goes with what?. Gravy fries & sushi? Brussels & pizza? Huh? I’m hungry ! Taste: Overall 3.5. For the price! $ 15 – 22 a dish Cocktails: Scrumptious! Try the strawberry sling & the«bite the bulleit» — strong, and perfectly crafted! — — — — — — 3.5 overall — — — — — — -

Wow! This place really exceeded my expectations. The parking up front is pretty limited, so you might have to walk from one of the nearby lots. Inside, the décor and ambiance is very nice, with plenty of comfortable seating. They have a great wine menu, with plenty of options. I’m not huge about sushi, but I tried a salmon teriyaki roll here, and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. I ordered some phenomenal popcorn shrimp with a great sweat and sour glaze. My date got a Brussels sprout and kale salad. Both dishes were huge portions, and both were excellent. For dinner I ordered a rib eye with egg, spinach, and baked potatoes. She got the salmon with mash potatoes and broccoli. For desert, we ordered the red velvet cake with vanilla ice cream. I really can’t overstate how much I enjoyed this place. The food was amazing, and the service was wonderful. I would definitely recommend e+o for any occasion, and I can’t wait to go back!

This place was amazing. The previous review written when the restaurant just opened and I think they were still working some kinks out. I went here last night and of course I had to order my favorite thing on the menu, the Brussels sprouts and kale salad. It was as amazing as I remembered it and the portion was even bigger! Tried the popcorn shrimp for the first time. It was another generous portion and the sweet and spicy sauce was delicious. We had two of the sushi rolls. The salmon teriyaki which was good, but not my favorite dish of the night. We also had their version of a California roll which had soft shell crab and shrimp tempura. For dinner I had the salmon fish with broccolini and mashed potatoes.

I came here with a friend on New Year Day. It was empty which worried me. We sat down, ordered a bunch of food. It was ALLL delicious. We kinda slept in too late and missed brunch but lunch was good. //Popcorn shrimp tempura — 14 — This was so tasty and light. The popcorn shrimp was spot on. //Crispy brussels sprouts and kale — 14 — THISIS A MUST. so delicious, they mix it for you at the table and has this delicious dressing on it. //malaysian pork and shrimp fried eggs — 14 — I enjoyed this because there was a fried egg on top. It was yolky and messy. Definitely worth trying. //Bloody mary — strong, bloody, tasty. I am glad this place is in the suburbs. now I finally have an option for good food. they also have sushi here, which i was unable to try but it sounds delicious. It is a little pricey, my friend and I ended up paying 90 $ with drinks. Kinda steep for two people but tasty! Definitely coming back here!

Date night in the ‘burbs and tired of the same old same old, we Unilocaled our way to this shining light just West of us. And are we glad we did. The ambiance was modern and elegant, yet comfortable. It had an urban feel without the hour on the Edens/Kennedy in a Saturday. The service was terrific– our guy was cordial, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our courses were paced perfectly and the cold to hot suggestion well placed. What an amazing menu with«I read your mind» choices to fit your mood. The food was special here – we started with the spicy tuna on crispy rice and tuna tango roll, then rolled into the crispy Brussels sprouts and kale salad. The finisher was the Seoul pizza, one of THE best fusion anything I’ve eaten. The kimchee was perfectly ripened, the Kalbi was flavorful and lean, and the garlicky wonderment with white sauce, gooey cheese, and perfectly crisp crust was belissimo! Complimentary valet for an easy experience too.

Amazing food and exceptional service! A little expensive but I think it’s worth it. Menu’s great, unusual items but creative combinations. Not consistent but not something to cry about. Husband wasn’t all that impressed but I’m the opposite. I loved everything we ordered although there are a couple of dishes that I think were absolutely terrific. — crispy kale and brussel sprout salad — Like most of the people here, I absolutely recommend this dish. Husband doesn’t like veggies but he single-handedly finished this. It’s an explosion of flavors and textures, it’s unbelievable how they created this. I haven’t enjoyed eating salad until I tried this one. — kalbi and pork fried rice — OMG I can eat this pairing everyday! They complemented each other so well! — carrot cake — I loved all the desserts here but this was my favorite. It’s not as sweet as you would think and I like that. With app+main+dessert, it set us back by $ 100 or $ 50 per person. It’s slightly expensive than I initially thought but like I said, worth it. I look forward to returning again soon!

I think this place is neat. Different menu items then many restaurants in the area. Has healthier options. Loved their Kale salad. Enjoy their outdoor seating in the summer. Wish it was a little less expensive still great experiences here! Went with my boyfriend and with my mom and enjoyed everything.

Our group of six came here to try dinner and sat in the high tops/bar area. This is where you need to sit to enjoy their 50% off weekday specials on specialty drinks(10-$ 12) and appetizers from 4:00 — 7:30pm. Overall, I’d go with a 4.5 stars rating. Every one of the numerous servings we had were of excellent quality and taste. We found the appetizers to be quite generously sized, and much more so than the main entrees($ 22-$ 25) and desserts($ 8) which were pricy for the smallish portion sizes. The main entrees’ value and maybe the required hightop seating were my only knock-backs from a 5 star dinner rating. Depending on tastes, one could easily make a dinner of the appetizers. The specials more than made up for the entrée sizes. The hightop seats have no backs, so in wintertime you will need to check your coats in. A high top can accommodate a group of eight. The main dining area was packed. They had live music(popular mello, like U2) on Friday night and the sound level was thankfully tolerable for dinnertime. The courses we tried were as follows and are shown in the photos. Appetizers: — Beet salad — Wedge salad — Pizza romana — Mussels — Crab toast — Disco fries Entrees: — Pappardelle with beef hash — Ribeye steak — Pork belly — Black squid ink pasta with prawns Desserts: — Carrot-pineapple cake — Red velvet chocolate cake — Mango pudding

E+O has a great atmosphere, tasty food, and friendly service! I would definitely recommend E+O for a date night or night out with friends. I went in on a Friday night with my husband and we arrived a bit earlier than our reservation, so we just sat at the tables in the bar area. It was still really nice and they had live music playing. E+O has some awesome small plates(tapas) and main courses. There is a heavy Filipino influence in their dishes. My husband and I ordered 4 small plates; crab cake, crispy brussel sprout and kale salad, chicken sisig, and disco fries. We also placed an order to share an entrée of pork adobo, but we were so full w/the small plates that we had to cancel the order!!! The 4 «small» plates were very filling and tasty! I think my favorite was the crispy brussel sprout and kale salad! It was perfection!!! The other items were good as well, but the sald sticks out in my mind. Oh, and it was warm!!! YUM!!! I was sooo full, but I had to sneak a peek at the dessert menu. And that was a mistake! I ended up ordering the red velvet molten cake. It was good! :) Oh, and I had a lychee cocktail to wash it all done… very tasty and I recommend it! Overall, a great place to go. They have free valet! Enjoy!

I don’t even know where to begin. They have lunch entrees! Chicken sisig with a poached egg on top with rice is pretty bomb and felt healthier than your average sisig — but still very flavorful. Duck and Daikon is out of this world. And that kale and shrimp salad is super good. Nothing from the entrée section really grabbed my attention. But that dessert though!!! Red velvet lava cake is awesome! And that carrot caaaaake. Try this place out its so fancy in there too! It is like they brought a fancy river north restaurant to the burbs. Love it!

I’ve been to E+O a couple of times now, and although I wasn’t too fond of it the first time I went, I really like it now. The atmosphere, the decorations, the service, and the food are great. The last time I came to E+O, my husband and I ordered the roasted duck and dalkon hash, a side of fries, the crispy Brussels sprouts and kale salad, and the popcorn shrimp tempura. I really liked all of the dishes that we got, but my favorite is the crispy Brussels sprouts and kale salad. It is so delicious, and definitely a must when going to E+O.

So, almost a year ago now I went with a group of people to E+O and was very dissatisfied with the experience. After I posted my review, I received a very nice note from the manager who invited me to come back and give them another chance. That chance came this past weekend for a late lunch. We arrived at about 2PM and the place was not crowded at all so we were immediately seated. While I like having cocktails with dinner and no so much for lunch, I decided to go for a Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary was not on their drink menu but to my surprise, they had a Bloody Mary Bar set up replete with lots of stuff. And, while it was a very good tasting Bloody Mary, it was lacking in alcohol content. I was a little disappointed by this, but not overly so. My wife ordered iced tea — she is very picky about her tea and does not like any flavored ones that are popular out there. When ordering, she asked specifically about this and was told it was plain iced tea — not so. I think the server should have known. She did make it right by allowing us to send it back and simply get seltzer with lemon. We did not realized that Sunday was Dim Sum day and you could not order off the main menu for lunch. We decided to go «all out» and ordered two of the Dim Sum plates — Chicken and Chive potstickers and Buddha Chicken wings. The potstickers were okay — nothing out of the ordinary. The Chicken Wings I thought were outstanding(albeit a little sticky), They have some type of shrimp(brine shrimp) in the coating and my wife is not a seafood eater. We did not realize how they were made when we got them so she took one bite and I got to eat them all. For the meal, we both ordered burgers with fries(you have a choice of fries or salad). The burger is a double patty served with or without cheese, with thousand island dressing and jalapenos. The jalapenos offer a nice touch, and the sweetness of the thousand island was a nice change from ketchup. But, the meat was kind of bland. I also ordered a sushi roll called«same name but different». I would classify that as outstanding. One of the best maki rolls I’ve ever had. The service was good, but not great. With only four tables that had people sitting at them and there were two servers you would think the servers would be all over you. No so. So, long-winded(sorry) but since this was a follow up, I wanted to be complete in my story. I was a little disappointed in the service and very disappointed with the burger. The Dim Sum were good. The sushi was fantastic. I think E+O is one of those places where you need to know what to order, and what not to order. Overall, my experience was better than last time. If you only look at the ambiance and décor, it really is nice. Last time I went, when we sat outside, it was beautiful. The interior is also nice. Reading other reviews there are lots of comments about the appearance. For me, more important than appearance is the food. For that reason I am increasing my previous 2 star review to 3 considering everything mentioned above.
