Went here for lunch, I really liked that it was an order at the counter, wait at the table type of place. My food was good, I stayed away from the spicy dishes because I’m a wimp. I had the sweet and sour chicken and noodles which were delicious. I’d say its about the same price as Panda Express with fresher food.

OMG! Went for dinner at 5pm last night. Needed to make two emergency bathroom stops on my way home. It’s now 1:45am and still suffering from food poisoning! Never going back there again!

Pei Wei is always fresh and delicious. This location is great. The people behind the counter are nice and the food is delicious. Tonight, when the ingredient we requested was out, the manager came over, explained the situation and was very kind. Couldn’t ask for better service — they have always taken care of us. Great and dinner spot.

This place is ok at best. I didn’t expect a gourmet meal, but though it would be better than it was. The kung paso chicken was way to salty. I watched my food side for 10 min before the manager who was placing orders had time to bag it up for me. Meanwhile 3 employees stood around not doing much. Poor management maybe. Probably won’t be coming back anytime soon

Staying at Hampton Inn right behind the restaurant while in town on business. I ordered here due to location and being able to walk to get it. The food was horrible. Had to wait 25 minutes longer than promised time. I live in Houston and have eaten at the chain numerous times, this location needs training. There was only one person working the front and he was doing the best he could — props to him. At any given time he had 6 – 8 people in his line and was going as fast as he possibly could.

Don’t eat here. The floor is so dirty its sticky, i ordered the Mongolian beef w extra beef and rice noodles. Total $ 14.30, don’t waste your money, you wont find extra beef, also the place is filthy. Also, no soda water in the machines anymore. I got a refund told the manager about the dirty floor, and went to Jersey Mikes instead and enjoyed a sandwich for half the price.

I’ve always heard about this P.F. Chang’s express chain restaurant so decided to give it a try as I do like P.F. Chang’s. I ordered the chicken with honey glaze on top of fried rice and overall, my dinner was good. It didn’t blow my socks off or anything and I certainly prefer P.F. Chang’s. After ordering, I took a seat at a table and displayed my number, and in about 10 minutes, my order was delivered to my table. They do have the Coke Freestyle machines, which I love!

Meh! I love Chinese food overall. And around here this is the best we have. Id have to drive about 10 miles to get to PF Changs so… Ordered the Orange peel chicken and fried rice. They need to find some spices with more flavor. A bit flat especially when orange peel should burst. Oh well. Cant trust most of the other Chinese places around me. Guess i will have to suffer my first world problem.

This location is a disgrace to the brand. We used to frequent the Darien location but live closer to Randhurst and was very excited to learn one had opened here. We were terribly disappointed. Went for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Waited at the counter to order because no one was there. Then after finally ordering, went to grab a table and most of them were dirty with no one in sight cleaning them off. There was a large spill on the floor and instead of mopping it up they just threw down the caution sign. You had to walk through he spill! The pop machines were out of most of the selections. It was 12:30 on a Monday, get it together!!! Then the food came and wasn’t up to what we are used to from Pei Wei which is freshly made Asian but in a quicker setting. My dish was just thrown together, the chicken was dry as was the rice. They were under staffed, and the restaurant was filthy. This location needs a major tune up. So disappointing.

Okay food. Supposed to be under pf changs I can tell their sauces are similar. Ordered sweet and sour chicken with noodle instead of rice. Noodles had no seasoning. They battered the chicken and fried it when I took the first bite it was crispy and hot. When I started on other things, the chicken coating became soggy and eh a freezer food type of feel to it it was good the first piece but afterwards with seconds in between timewise it quickly became soggy. Crab wonton was delish. They shredded the crabmeat into fine pieces which I loved. Pork eggroll was as good but not a standout it was literally full of grounded meat not much vegetables. What brought this place down to 2 stars instead of 3 was the cleaniness of the place. Tables were dirty. The freestyle machines were dirty and lacked flavor selections. Bathroom was not cleaned in a while. I would not want to eat here again though the crab wonton was delish. Thats the only thing I would think of coming back for if I change my mind in the future. By the way if you hate crab wonton in sauce already inform them to put sauce on the side or no sauce as they served my crab wonton sitting on a pool of sauce. I let it slide but normally I would have sent it back and put sauce on the side.

When they get my order right, its delicious… But that happens maybe 15% of the time. The service and management at this particular location is consistently awful.

Fun idea, but mediocre execution! Moe’s heads far East! We hadn’t been to Pei Wei before, and heard good things about the food. The service was great, with the cashier offering great ideas for the food, and being patient with our first time questions. The food came quickly, and was mostly hot and fresh. The menu items we chose were fun and creative — Traditional Chicken Lettuce Wrap and Ginger Broccoli Chicken. The flavors were decent, but salt was very excessive! We couldn’t enjoy the items as much as we would have liked, as the saltiness was so strong. If you don’t mind salty food, I guess the flavors can be pretty good. For me, well prepared food — especially Asian which can already be a bit salty — is worth the extra money and time. Will most likely not return — tried it, and now we know.

Sad to report that the quality of food has gone down. I eat here at least twice a month. Hard, undercooked rice, portions smaller, place is dirtier, sushi is the worst sushi I have ever had. Pls. do away with the sushi. I can find better at a gas station. Grocery store sushi is leagues better and that is not meant as a compliment. I hold out hope that management and staff can turn this around. Also, the traffic snarl in front of the restaurant can be downright dangerous for pedestrians.

I normally do not review on this site, but I am in the restaurant right now and the service is just awful. We have been waiting over 20 minutes for our food and the restaurant is not even three quarters filled. People after us were served before us. Even if the food is good I am not coming back here. There’s a reason this establishment is lowly rated. There are many other food options to choose from in the mall. Take advantage of it.

This was my first visit to this chain and I don’t forsee that I’ll be returning. My husband ordered the Honey Seared Chicken bowl & I had the Mongolian Chicken w/noodles. My meal was fine but someone seriously screwed up my husband’s meal – his CHICKENWASSTILLRAW! Unfortunately, he did not notice until he took a bite out of a piece and the employee at the register offered a replacement meal. There was no apology from a manager/anyone which further turned us off. Even if nothing were wrong with the food, it was pretty pricey for the small amount that they give you. First impression is everything and this was not a good one.

Pei Wei. It’s a chain. It’s the fast service version of P.F. Chang’s China Bistro. I always get the same thing: the gluten-free spicy chicken. I’ve had fine service here, but I come at off hours, late for lunch or late for dinner. I’m not sure why people flame this joint. They have always given me hot and healthy food. I really like that the amount of chicken in their full size serving is about what I would make for myself at home. This location has outdoor seating near the parking lot, but with only three umbrellas, many of the tables can be in the sun. The million drink soda machine is great, allowing you to have whatever soda you desire. They also have an iced tea. Note to the unwary: the reconfiguration of the Randhurst parking lot is incomprehensible to anyone with a logical and spatial brain. This place is on the western side of the mall, near 83. Good luck!

Pei Wei has gone downhill, and it makes me sad. This used to be a great option for fast Chinese food — a step above Panda Express but just below P.F. Changs — but lately, their service and food quality have made me never want to return. I first discovered this chain in Dallas about three years ago, and I was SO excited to find one close to home. However, recently I had noticed the food being more dried out, stale, or improperly cooked. The sauces are extremely runny and taste like they’ve just come out of a can. The pop machines are constantly out of choices. The white rice tastes like it was cooked yesterday. For $ 10 a dish, I was leaving feeling a little disappointed, but my most recent visit took me over the tipping point. On my last visit, when my food was brought to my table I noticed a long black hair in my white rice. I brought the plate over to the lady who had dropped it off and very politely pointed out the hair. I kid you not, she rolled her eyes and took it away without a word. She didn’t say anything. When the same person brought my friend’s food out, she basically slammed it down on the table and walked away. I was SO nice about it. I wasn’t complaining at all or acting rude. I get it, it happens sometimes but just make it right. Another person brought out my hair-free dish 10 minutes later, but I did not get a single apology. About an hour later, I had the symptoms of food poisoning, and I can say with absolute certainty I will NEVER come back here again. Corporate Pei Wei, you might want to check in on this restaurant.
