Steve & Kate’s camp in Mt Prospect(at St Raymond’s Church/School) was great for our 11yr old and 8yr old. The kids liked it because they could do a lot of different things there that weren’t available at more traditional day camps like those sponsored by the Park District or the YMCA. Examples: They were able to work in self-selected groups or individually to shoot mini movies with the help of staff; they were able to sew; they were able eat interesting lunches that were included. What we(parents) liked most was not having a set schedule. Example: tennis lessons only went M-W-F so they could go to Steve & Kate’s on Tues+Thurs…and only pay for those 2 days. We went to Wis. for a week… we didn’t have to pay for that week. Grandma couldn’t watch the kids as planned… no prob… S&K’s. Go whenever you want and only pay for the days you want. Plus, the kids loved morning huddle and«Antlers Up”…don’t ask me what it is, ask your kids… and a lot of their other stuff, like water-slides on hot days, as well. If you value flexibility and creativity, you should definitely look into Steve & Kate’s camp. I bet you’ll like it!
