Great service and nice menu and spectacular view in the day but very relaxing at night

Limited menu, mostly pub food. Salmon was slightly over cooked. Pasta was good; the sauce was light. The desert, ice cream on a waffle with chunks of brownie was good sized. More than enough for two. Service was prompt. The server was a little too casual for me. I’m not a honey.

Basically, the view rocks. The«house made BBQ pork» could not have been house made. Poor quality. cheap bun, poor quality. Mushy pork slop from what, a can? My father, on Father’s day has a side of fries I could count on my fingers. They were thin, unappetizing. Had to ask twice for more fries. The waitress said she had to argue with the chef but she told him it wasn’t enough.

We had dinner a few months ago after they opened, and I wrote a review afterwards, was not real impressed then. I received a gift certificate for the restaurant, had dinner, and thought a updated review would help. Especially since reading other reviews, which make me wonder if the reviewers even ate there, as I notice more phony reviews showing up on these types of web sites. We went on a Sunday evening, a football game was on the big screen TV, with the volume turned all the way up. We sat in a far corner, hoping for a little quiet. Their web sites describes the restaurant as a ‘comfortable atmosphere”, I would tend to disagree with this. The service could use some improvement, we sat for 10 minutes before a waitress came to take our order. Then a few minutes later, a different waitress came again, to take our order. Don’t know who our waitress was. I ordered the Fish & Chips, a simple choice, so I think. According to the menu, I also have my choice of: Cup of soup, side salad, French fries, or assorted root chips. Since ½ of the order of Fish & Chips is fries, I ordered the side salad. When the order comes, there are no fries. I ask the waitress about this, and asked for a menu, as maybe I misread how this was explained in the menu. It does not state, that if I order Fish & Chips, and order one of the other options that goes with my entrée, then I do not get the Chips. Even though, the menu allows me to order a side option. The waitress tells me that if I order a side salad, then I do not get Chips/fries with my entrée. «Well, the menu is wrong», I am told. Well then, maybe they should let me know that my entire entrée is changed, when I ordered this meal. I am just trying to order according to what the menu describes. Anyway, she agrees to bring me some fries. I get a bowl full of 1″ pieces of French fries. I am not really impressed with this, little pieces of fries. The food is good, my wife ordered the Pork Tenderloin, it is very good. (The little fries were not so good.) We were hoping to come in and have a quiet meal, and be out the door. This meal took about 90 minutes to accomplish. Yes, the food is good, the service and menus need to be organized. I was not looking for this to turn into a big, long hassle to eat, in a very loud sports-bar environment restaurant. It was disappointing. I was torn between giving a 2 or 3 star rating. I gave a 3, as the food was good. But I would give the service and environment a 1 rating, which I felt they earned.

What a great way to enjoy golf and dining with a gorgeous view! I love how the food is locally sourced and fresh. Service started with freshly baked olive bread rolls! Warm from the oven, it was well seasoned and tasty. The hummus and pita is a great starter to share. The scallops were tender and cooked to perfection. When scallops are cooked to perfection(not overcooked or rubbery) I already know dinner will be great. The mushroom raviolis were tender and earthy. They were like pillows! It had a tasty sherry cream sauce. I had the top sirloin with the bourbon blackberry demi-glacé. The demi-glacé was mildly sweetened with the blackberries. I’m a fan of pairing meat with seasonal fruits. The Chicken Saltimbocca has a great combination of prosciutto, sun-dried tomatoes, on top of couscous(some of my favorites). The pasta and pesto is an excellent vegetarian option. This was such a wonderful dinner to enjoy with some wine and friends. The service was very attentive. After dinner, we were able to enjoy some more cocktails and wine on the patio. =)
