Got an americano and it was good. They had the crème de la crem-crem on top which looked really fancy. They give you cream in a little white pour spout cup and you can sprinkle stuff into your drink… nutmeg cinnamon etc. They have a fancy sign with nice swirly borders. nice touch. Makes me think the coffee is gonna be good even before i tried it. Brainwash, I guess. Don’t care! I fell for it and it was good.

Bathroom review: Tiniest bathroom of the year award It’s an old building; so I can’t fault them for structural limitations. With that said. The bathroom is down a hallway/stockroom, and is single-occupancy/unisex. The door sticks a bit when opening it, and once inside, the thing that becomes most notable is how small it is. A little shuffle past the sink opens up to the rest of the room, which houses a toilet in the back corner. I was delighted to see decorative hooks on the wall for hanging things, and beside the totally-functional toilet a variety of cleaning/maintenance supplies. An extra roll of toilet paper placed on the back of the toilet. The sink is a standalone, porcelain unit with separate hot and cold levers. On the wall to the right(way up on the wall, almost out of reach) is a press-style soap dispenser; on the opposite side, high on the wall, is a stacked/style, pull-from-the-bottom paper towel dispenser. Both were full. Above the sink is a beautiful, gorgeous, wide, clean mirror. Really the highlight of the bathroom, for me, other than the hooks. A nice, soft light is above it, which provides great lightning for the entire room. The floor isn’t great, or pretty to look at, but the walls are painted a deep shade of red/brown, which showed that they were trying to better decorate the place. Air fresheners were placed on the walls throughout the room, and an open-top garbage within reach of the door finished it up. Also, there’s a gold sash-style curtain covering up additional supplies near the door. The door stuck again on the way out. There were handlebars on the walls by the toilet, no seat covers, and no baby-changing station, for the record.

Latte was good. Wifi sucks. They use 2.4 GHz channel 9, the 2.4 GHz spectrum is all mucked up at this location, I would suggest the owners buy a 5 GHz wifi access point and pay a little more for a quicker connection(cable or better). Wifi latency is 100 – 200 ms. Their internet comes from ClearWire ISP.

This place is super classy!!! I came in here while I was wandering about the town. They have coffee, tea and juices. I ended up getting one of their juice/tea combos. And it was amazing! I loved how I got caffeine and was able to hydrate!!! My favorite thing was the atmosphere! It was the cutest coffee shop I’ve ever seen!

An unexpected and greatly welcomed discovery! While en route to the San Juan Islands, we camped not far away. While able to set up camp when not raining, it rained all night long and apparently on a bit of a slope, It did not take long for water to permeate between the tarp and my sleeping bag. I had a wet and cold pseudo slumber while my husband and four legged child contentedly snored away. Alas I digress. After getting the wet tent/tarp /bag packed away with utmost care to protect the remainder(bulk) of our gear/supplies for the coming 5 nights, we set off and I NEEDED, coffee. We pulled off in Mt Vernon and stumbled upon Ristretto. Not only was the coffee great, the barista made an awesome bagel sandwich(I recommend The Works), the atmosphere and music relaxing, but our four legged child was welcomed inside too! Definitely a must stop for all going to/coming from trips this direction!

The ambiance is fantastic. Smooth jazz playing, warm colors, beautiful art. The food is a little pricier than other places to eat on 1st street, but it’s served with local ingredients and products. Delicious wine, pretty good coffee, and great atmosphere.

Absolutely blown away by the delectable coffee. Wandered in here by accident and I will now most certainly be driving down from Canada just to get another coffee. The staff are fantastic and the space is incredible. Love this place

A friend and I went here while we were waiting for a bus during the tulip festival. I loved the atmosphere here and the barista was very friendly. I ended up getting a London fog – which they made very well(they are a fairly easy drink to make, but for some reason, not every place makes them well). They have board games and books in case you need a bit of entertainment. We ended up playing a game of chess while we waited(which I won, BTW:). It was a very good experience, and I will go back there when we go visit again.

Coffee is good but the staff are a little abrupt. Great atmosphere with cool seating options. Easy to miss from the street. Look out for the hanging sign. Looks like the best option in town for coffee.

My extra hot Carmel mocha was hot. But no Carmel. She added some when i reminded her, but still didn’t taste like it. And a little pricey, but I get it. It’s the couches and books and paintings.

These guys know how to pull shots and never burn the coffee. The owner has a passion for coffee and it shows in your cup of Joe.

Maybe it was the barista on the day I got coffee but this place was a huge let down. This place gave off the vibe that I’d be in for a great cup of coffee and I was sadly wrong. I got a classic vanilla latte and it didn’t even have a hint of vanilla. It tasted burnt. My husband had a cup that was so sweet I could barley drink the sip I took. Some places just have off days but something so simple as a vanilla latte should not be so easily messed up. The service was also awkward. I don’t think I’ll be visiting here again. The co-op down the street is a better option.

Stopped by here on a quick run through checking out the downtown. On a tourist mission and needed some coffee to keep me going. This may be a short review for a quick stop for a couple coffees but what I did experience blew my mind. Literally the best iced mocha I have ever had. Boyfriend ordered a regular cup of coffee with cream and sugar. I have no idea how they both ended up tasting like a little bit of heaven but hands down… the best coffee I have ever tasted. Also grabbed a blueberry scone. Most and flavorful. Left feeling very happy and pretty much blown away.

Completely, totally blew my mind. Came here for a quick stop, after visiting a local ale house nearby, to get some caffeine before finishing the trek back up to Vancouver. I only chose it because it was close by, and holy moly, did I luck out. Décor: upscale coffee shop, with a definite comfortable, chic feel. I loved the wine bottles with a small light inside on every table — definitely added to the ambiance. The bathroom was a bit sketchy, however only a little bit. Food: I didn’t eat anything, however I did ask extensive questions of the barista. I’ve managed a coffee shop before, and so have heard of most drink names, yet found three or four here I was confused about. The barista was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Anyway, back to the drink. I finally ordered their version of a Mexican Mocha, blended, with half the sweetener in it as I’m trying to cut down my sugar intake. WOW. This was THEBEST caffeinated drink I’ve had, and wish I knew their secret. The barista gave a small leftover to another lady waiting in line who was also curious as to the drink, and she also mentioned it was divine — and likely too sweet with more mocha syrup. Seriously. Order it. Amazeballs. Price: Good, and what I expected. I wish I could come back here to write for a few hours, maybe have a glass of wine, and use their free wifi. I will definitely make a point of coming back here when I’m traveling down to Seattle again.

Came here the other night with a friend to chat for a few hours. I had a chai tea latte and it was excellent. Cozy feel. I would come here again to study or to get something to drink or eat.
