Haven’t been there in a while because we moved out of state. We are back now in Wa, living in Seattle and we love the place so much that we are stopping special there on our way to Birch Bay for a get-a-way. The cinnamon roll sandwich with ham etc. is one that we talk about in my family regularly. It is one of those«sweet and salty» combos that is hard to describe. It was the last meal we had before we moved away to another state a few years ago.(we drove from Marysville to Mt Vernon on moving day morning just to have it one last time). I am going that way soon so I thought I would do my research on Unilocal to make sure they still have the amazing breakfast sandwich. Looks like they do! Woot. I have tried to duplicate it, but it is too hard to cook the inside of the sandwich without burning the cinnamon roll on the outside. Can’t wait to see if it is as good as I remember. If I can, I will post my more recent experience for those that want up-to-date info.

1st time ~ won’t be the last, I thought it sounded odd, a cinnamon roll, with icing and raisins(you don’t have to have the raisins) BUT, they were juicy raisins, cut a cinnamon roll in half to make a sandwich, add ham, and scrambled egg, eat with a fork, had milk to drink, they have a wide variety of drink choices. MANY items on the menu. Cute little Grandma and Grandpa place, the lady who co-ownes the place, the baker and maker of the YUM is very sweet, polite and loaded with great ideas! I believe she owns it with her husband, while we were there her Aunt, 95 came in, she was very sweet also, she used to own several restaurant in the area and I guess the one who came up with the concept of the cinnamon roll sandwich, it’s not called that. ANYhoo, the place is under the church, painted a calm sage green and is grandma cute. The girl behind the counter was the grand daughter and was polite as well. WOULD and WILL go again. I didn’t do 5 stars… I guess because I’ve only been there once… I think I will change that, DID, also, did I mention the smell of the place ~ again, YUM! Give it a try!
