Wild By Design!

Ok, so I’m not from round’ here. I’ve tried to get someone to work on my dreads and have had HORRIBLE luck (such snobbery!) And then one day, a lady walked into my store with rockin’ dreads and she was sweet enough to give me Violet’s phone number. From the first time I contacted her, till I brought my boyfriend in to get his hair done-​everything has been friendly, professional, sweet and fun. She’s easy to spend time with (which is awesome given that I needed about five hours of work,) she does a killer job on your hair (I wish I had started my set with her honestly,) she happily shares tips and information (which if you’ve had your hair worked on around here-you’ll know that’s rare,) and (most importantly,) she makes your hair look amazing. I’m beyond happy with it-​check her out-she’s super worth the drive!
I like too that she’s quick to be positive, she knows lots of other great beauty stuff and she’s über chill. Her bedside manner makes me wish I needed hair maintenance more often (or that I lived closer so I could hang out with her.) She’s the bees knees y’all!

So I generally don’t do these things, and frankly, I’m usually a huge prick in regards to anyone in service, but…
I Found Violet a couple months ago by an online search and contacted her. Off the bat we got along, and she was able to fit me into her schedule, which was actually impressive due to the fact my schedule is pretty obnoxious.
No on to the service. She is very knowledgeable, which is actually rare these days in the world of Google and YouTube «proffesionals» and she knows her stuff, and it shows. No cotton candy bs to any questions, and answers are honest in regards to expectations. She also has some products she recommends, but doesn’t make you feel stupid if you ask or choose something else product wise. She’s always avail to answer questions in between appointments as well, again, without making you feel like it was an amateur question.
I’ve gone to her for my follow up appointments as well, again, stating a lot from me, as I’m usually pretty hard to please.
Keep up the great work Girl!

Violet is great i always get my hair cut the way i want, not the way the stylist wants to cut my hair. My wife loves the way i look after coming back from Violet. Thanks Violet you do an Awesome job. I will keep coming back.

Violet is wonderful!
Right from the get-​go, she was friendly, and easy to talk to. She had a genuine interest in getting to know me, and what I was looking for in my dreads. She listened to my concerns and suggested alternatives that we could work with. On the day of my appointment, she was ready on time, and totally accommodating. Her in house studio is a relaxed and comfy environment.
As far as quality of work goes, Violet is a true artist. My dreads came out better than I could have ever hoped for, and now 2 months later, they’re still looking great! I’ve gotten so many compliments on them, and other deadheads have even asked me «Whoa, how did your dreads get so tight!?»
Overall, my experience was top-​notch. I don’t often review businesses, but Violet has gone above and beyond in every respect. I would recommend her to anyone in northwest Washington looking for quality dreadlocks!

Violet is amazing ! So friendly so creative ! She is the only one I trust with my hair. Very dedicated to natural dreads ! No wax no gunk … Priced well and very professional. I couldn’t have asked for more with my dread lock experience.

Violet did such an wonderful job on my bran new dreadies. Not only did she take me from the «All American Boy» look to a DreadHead with ease and expertise, but she instilled confidence and vast amounts of Dread Knowledge into my head. Literally. Her attitude and good vibes make me want to recommend EVERYONE to her!
I can’t wait for maintenance to see her again!

Violet has a passion for dreadlocks that you don’t find in most people. She told me a little about the history of dreadlocks, and I was blown away. She really knows her stuff. I really like that she didn’t use any wax or try to perm my hair like some other places said they had to do. All around this was an amazing experience. Client for life!
