It’s fun here. They have a nice sized wave pool that doesn’t disappoint, concessions, two water slides, a kiddie water park and a lot of space to set up camp. Early daytime on the weekends will definitely be packed so, if you’re trying to get in before 4pm, come when they open for prime parking spots and a nice stretch of grassy area where you can keep an eye on your belongings. During the packed times, it can get rough. The crowd is a li’l rowdy and when the camps come, fugghettaboutit. If I go on a weekend, I would rather do twilight swim because people have already begun to clear out and it costs less. When it’s relatively empty, the water is crystal blue but when it’s packed, the water can get a cloudy aqua which kind of grosses me out. I believe you’re able to bring your own food in coolers less than 12 inches, so we usually pack one up with heros, drinks and snacks for the day. This summer, hubby and I have been packing our suits the day before and meeting up at the pool for twilight swim after work. For only $ 5(Westchester resident price), you can’t beat 2.5 hours of pool fun. I will warn you, though, if you do stay until they close at 6:30, be prepared to deal with the«lifeguard mafia». The lifeguards will literally crowd next to patrons who are gathering their belongings and stare them down until they leave. We were kind of appalled. That’s never happened at Saxon Pool or Tibbets when we’ve stayed until closing but on one particular day my husband, brother in law, some girlfriends and I stopped by Wilson’s for twilight swim and began gathering our stuff around ten to close. My husband was closing up our chairs when we realized the lifeguards grouping up and standing in front of patrons while they got they belongings together. They were staring people down. It was very weird and then it happened to us. About ten of more people in red shirts started to surround us and just stare while we got our stuff. My husband got annoyed as did I. I don’t really understand why you would antagonize patrons that in the process of leaving the establishment. I chalk it up to the fact that most of them are kids, themselves, so I’m guessing I shouldn’t be too surprised.
