4.5 stars Im glad that I didnt let the fact that there were far more flies(at least 6) than patrons(2, myself included) deter me away. Nor did I let the confusing interior send me running– What was this place, an office, someones living room, a restaurant? Not even the limited, 5-item menu, written on the dry erase board kept me from trying this«Bistro»; Im glad I stuck to my guns(and by guns, I mean my stomach). I was greeted at the door by a man whom I assumed was the owner, but perhaps he just worked there. There was a local cop eating when I walked in, which can typically be a good sign, cuz cops know the good local spots. 1 $ slice or 1.25 with a topping. This discreet little spot really turned out to be a hidden gem. As skeptical as I was, I admit I was wrong. The slice was huge, and on par with any spot in NYC. I accompanied my slice of pepperoni with a chicken parmesan– the portion was as enormous as it was delicious. The service is friendly, prompt and attentive. I would definitely be back if Im in the area again(although, I hope Im not). –½ star for lack of any sort of ambience/décor.
