We were the only diners on a Friday night which made for an odd atmosphere. The food was excellent but I’m not sure I would come back.

Went here for our 45th wedding anniversary based on a recommendation by a clerk at a store we visited earlier in the day. The place was a small, but cozy old stagecoach stop with subdued lighting and a nice décor. I ordered the rainbow trout, and the husband had the pork chops. My trout was perfectly cooked, with a crisp salad and roasted corn. Husband’s chops were the biggest I’ve ever seen, and extremely tasty! We ended up bringing one home as he couldn’t finish it! Owners were very nice and did everything to accommodate us. Would have been 5 stars except for the large group also seated in the room who were obviously having a good time. Will definitely return again

I saw the review about the kitchen wanting to close early so I called first before we went out there to make sure they would be open. The woman who answered the phone was kind of vague about how late they would be serving. She asked what time we would be arriving and when I said around seven she was still uncertain about whether they would be open. Needless to say we didn’t go there for dinner.

Walked in and was greeted by the hostess saying«sorry, we weren’t expecting anyone tonight,» when they clearly advertise being open from 5 – 9. The cook was scolding his dogs, then threw a bucket and cursed in disgust at our presence. We left immediately

Never again, Totally over priced for what you get. Steak was dry, little taste. Prime rib very thin cut, spinach casserole over baked and dry. Service rude and slow. If you are going to pay these prices, go to Morton’s, Dementi’s or RUTHCHRIS for better meal and much better service!!!

romantic and cozy atmosphere but thats where it ends. slow service. multiple mistakes made, i.e. served the wrong entrée. drowning food in butter doesnt necessarily make it good or better. friendly people but service needs to be sharper and the food needs to be revamped, i.e. develop more flavors with better cooking techniques. the veal was chewy, the pasta sauce bland, the salads dainty, and constantly having to ask for refills on water and drinks gets annoying.
