Abe Quynh, DDS

Dr. Abe herself is fabulous – really great skills and did a nice job with my teeth. The problem is that, prior to my appt, I asked her office staff (twice) whether they took my particular insurance. Twice, I was reassured that they did, so I was surprised to get a hefty bill after my treatment. I called my insurance and they informed me that Dr. Abe was «out of network” – when I called Dr. Abe’s office to let them know about the error (mind you, I wasn’t disputing my bill – just wanted them to know that I’d been given misinformation, so that they could avoid this in the future), the woman with whom I spoke was very angry and hostile. It was an awkward conversation with me just trying to politely explain the error and her insisting that no one gave me misinformation and telling me why I was wrong (which was kind of comical, since I’m pretty sure I know what happened and was truly just trying to help them avoid the mistake in the future ;).
Anyway – just a warning to anyone who tries to verify insurance ahead of time with this office – I’d go through the insurance and not her incompetent, unprofessional staff…

I have to second the motion what Eve K has said about this fine husband/​wife dental team. They have really taken great care of me. I was a Dr. Masao Watanabe patient that rolled over into the new Abe/​Abe practice and I have to say it got better! I’ve had fillings anew, fillings replaced, the typical hygiene cleaning, and I ask for manual cleaning not ultrasonic, and I get it. This is the most painless dental repair work I have ever experienced and I have had a lot done! 5 stars for sure! My most recent work was 1 day-​notice emergency repair for a lost filling. Superlative responsiveness!

Coming to see these Abe dentists Quynh and Keith makes me almost not dread my appointments. ;-)
I’d been going to a dentist all my life in the same office that retired, so seemed easy to switch to them a few years ago when he retired. Keith is the brother of one of my good friends since grade school so I feel very comfortable coming there to see him and his wife.
It’s hard to review them separately since I see both depending on the day, but here’s one about Quynh since she’s the one who saw me today.
Highlights:
— Super friendly and makes you feel comfortable. She’s always pleasant and smiling. Even happy to chat with you a bit about non-​dentist stuff.
— Does their thing really quick – they hygienist takes care of the cleaning and the dentist comes in for a few minutes to look at x-​rays and look for cavities
— You get to lay in a reclined chair and chill for a bit instead of being at work.
— Great time to catch up on your musac ;-)
Lowlights (my flip side to highlights):
— It’s still a dentist office with the associated not always so pleasant smells and sounds. I don’t think anyone likes the drilling
— My dental plan doesn’t have them in my network so sometimes I have to pay just a bit more

I go back every 6 months and would recommend either dentist to anyone.

Great husband and wife practice. My parents have been going here for years and and after I aged out of my pediatric dentist, went straight here and never looked back. (Well, except that I don’t get a pencil after each of my cleanings now.) The staff is very friendly and I never have a problem reaching them to check on my appointments, book an appointment or reschedule. It might be hard to find the first time you drive over since this entire street is doctors and dentists offices, but after that first visit, you’ll have no problem finding it again.
