Upon reading other peoples reviews, I was under the impression this location sells loaves. There is no entrance for visitors, I had to ask one of the employees outside if they sell to the public. He informed me no, they are a factory that bakes and distributes to local companies(ex: Milk Pail and Whole Foods). Sad!

Your line is too long and it goes too slow at the Mountain View Farmer’s Market. Surely, you can get one more person there on Sundays. I overheard people walking by be saying they wouldn’t stand in the line because it was too long. You are losing business!

I loooove Acme’s Herb Slab bread. The Green Onion slab, walnut cranberry bread, and olive bread are also quite good. What keeps them from getting 5 stars are the basic French baguettes, which are crack-your-teeth hard on the outside and often stale-tasting on the inside. In the meantime, I’ll stick to my Herb Slab.

Acme breads are amazing. The Herb Slab is to die for! I love making my «famous» Prosciutto pizza with it. Since I buy my herb slabs from the Milk Pail market, I go ahead and get all my ingredients there, and I have to say, their prices are amazingly reasonable. I halve the loaf and load the halves with Prosciutto, Mozzarella, fresh basil, olive oil, and grape tomatoes. 400º oven for 10−15min and then cut the halves again to make 4 filling personal pizzas(or even more if you’re a smaller person) OMFG, y’all. Heaven on earth. Do it now. You’re welcome. Now if only Acme would make a killer gluten-free herb slab,(hint hint) then my sweet bf could continue to enjoy them and I wouldn’t feel so guilty. ;)

Been eating their goods for years. Batards, Baguettes, and such have been staples at many restaurants and farmers market purchases. They also supply many of my local grocery stores so It’s been a regular with me for quite a while

Exceptional Italian and Sour Batards. Other brands don’t compare to the variety and magnificence. Dipped in garlic infused olive oil is the way to go. Thanks Acme for making this incredible bread.

Wonderful bread! I started buying the whole wheat walnut loaf from the Milk Pail in Mountain View but had no idea it was from Acme. It was so yummy, moist and hearty. Then I found out one day it was actually from Acme, no wonder it was so good! It’s also sold at Whole Foods Los Altos that I have seen. Best bread I have tasted!

We’re so lucky to have such fresh, high quality, bread nearby! I love all of the bread from Acme. I’ve been buying their breads for years now throughout the bay area. I enjoy their olive bread, herb focaccia slab, and sweet baguettes. You can find them anywhere from Whole Foods, the Mountain View farmers market, and even Trader Joes!

I love their breads. They have a unique soft and chewy consistency. And they don’t become terribly dry the next day – the crust actually become slightly crispy from the dry air here in Cali. I’ve been buying their loafs from the Whole Foods in Cupertino location. So far I’ve tried the Sweet Batard and Herb Slab. I always end up finishing these big loafs by the next day! ;P They are soooo gooood! Weeks ago I tried their Potato Yukon Pesto baguette sandwich at the Ferry Building in SF… it was SOYUM.

Have loved and enjoyed their bread since the 1980’s. if you are ever in Berkeley or the Ferry Building, you can get their breads. Berkeley’s less expensive.

Really high quality bread! I buy their bread from Costco(the Mountain View location). I used to look for the Acme bakery, and could never find it. Then one day at the Mountain View Costco I noticed a whole rack of the Acme breads; it’s near the pharmacy inside Costco, not the Costco bakery.

I get their bread from the Mountain View Farmers market, and it is absolutely delicious! And I’m very picky about bread. One of the few breads I can eat plain! Yummmmmmmy! Good prices too.

I love their breads, but before I knew about Unilocal,I actually drove around here looking for their store, and it’s not here. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, you can find their breads at good groceries store, like Whole Foods, etc. They also have a shop in the Ferry Building in SF.

Although they don’t actually sell bread out of this location, the company makes the most yummy breads available at the farmers markets, Whole Food Market and The Milk Pail. I’m sure they sell it elsewhere but I do not know where. The varieties of breads are immense: sourdough & sweet baguettes, sour & sweet batards, ciabatta loaf, herb ciabatta mini loaves, New York rye, whole wheat, sweet rolls, etc etc etc. At the farmers market the bread is fresh, baked that day. At The Milk Pail, I’m sure it’s also baked the same day, however, the sweet rolls are a few cents cheaper than if you bought it at the Farmers Market directly from the Acme stand(go figure). The freshest, most crusty and delicious breads around.
