Bee Happy Family

Swvin is a wonderful beekeeper that is very friendly and knowledgeable about bee removal and honey bees. He is very concerned about the impact of our loss of any honey bees and is very capable of saving honey bees and also supplying nucs, hives or Queens. If you need questions answered or bees removed he’s your man!

I met Swvin at the farmers market in Gilroy at his honey stand and mentioned a hive that was near my home. I told him I didn’t want to call the city because I was afraid it would be destroyed. He came out that day to take a look and then returned the next evening to remove it along with the bees. Not sure what was in it for him as he asked nothing of me and went out of his way to do this. Kind, courteous and friendly service. Would highly recommend them!

Excellent operation! I bought 2 nucs from them and moving from warm sunny San Jose to an unusually cold spell effected Santa Cruz presumably made one of the queens stop laying. She looked healthy and was actively running around when I inspected the hive. I called them up and described my problem and they generously offered to swap my nuc out for a different one. On the day I was going to move the frames from the hive back into the nuc, I was delighted to discover young larva filling multiple cells in a healthy/​clumped pattern. I suppose the queen just needed some time to get acclimated but I’ll keep an eye on her for a couple weeks. I called Bee Happy Family 4 – 5 times to talk through the problem (needless to say with a lot of anxiety on my end) and they were always helpful and considerate of my emotional state. I would definitely do business with them again!

I had a hive that was loosing bees and had no queen and I needed to merge them with more brut and another queen fast in order to not loose them all. Within just a few hours, the guys at Bee Happy Family were able to deliver a much needed nuc box to me. Thank you guys. So fast, so nice and some pretty darn sweet bees. Thx much!
