It’s ok. Don’t expect great customer service. I walked in and the girl at the counter just stared at the cash register, didn’t even say hi. When she did finally talk, I seriously could not hear her, I had to have her speak up! No smile. She practically threw the phở at me and the utensils. I get better customer service from jack in the box in the same parking lot! Food portions are good, and it was tasty. A little pricey though! In Fremont, same portions are at least $ 5 cheaper. I probably won’t come back.

Food is actually ok when they don’t screw up your order. Which is almost never. No, seriously — they would screw up a glass of water. Most recently, they burned the crap out of my egg rolls. See pic.

The lemongrass chicken curry and Vietnamese beef stew were so, so good. Big portions, too. I’m craving more as I type this. The service is nice and the décor is nothing special, but I’d go back in a heartbeat for those two dishes.

I was craving bun bo hue and that is exactly what I got. Now this place doesnt look authentic and it is probably catered to non Vietnamese but I have to admit that the bun bo hue was delicious. The soup was quite spicy and oily though but the rest of the stuff– the noodles, soup, toppings– were on point. It is next to safeway so it can be a convenient lunch spot.

Good vegan options. Spring wraps 5 out of 5 Bahn mi sandwiches 5⁄5 Rice bowl 5⁄5 Atmosphere 3⁄5 not very classy — plastic silverware etc. Veggie Phở 3⁄5 …the main reason I came here but its more like a veggie soup

We needed to grab a quick lunch before heading to Century theater for a movie and stopped by Big Bites with mediocre expectations. I ordered two sandwiches: the tofu and the mock beef. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I will be coming back soon for more.

the beef phở’s price is astronomical for wot you receive. undercooked stuck together noodles. beef was like cardboard the utensils were all fast food for a standard bowl of phở which simply are naught strong enough rubbish, overly hyped

Update: When Big Bites first opened I was so happy with the food and service. Fast forward a year or two, the food has gone down in quality, the confused older lady by the counter(the owner?) rarely get your order right and service is basically non existent. It’s too bad, it used to be a great place to go to. The one item on their menu that I still recommend that you get: beef phở. The broth is tasty and the rare beef surprisingly fresh and flavorful. I suggest skipping everything else on the menu, and I tried it all.

Best Vietnamese sandwiches I’ve had and reasonable prices. Nice that they have vegetarian options too.

Too much blah blah blah while waiting for sandwiches. I was here for 20 min waiting for 3 Banh Mi’s. Inexcusable– Auntie needs to focus on getting food out especially if it’s to go.

I ordered 4 Bun Bo Hue to go, but only found 1 when I got home, ordered 2 orders of shrimp egg roll, then got 2 pieces of egg roll which is 1 order. I am sad when I got home. If you ordered to go, remember to check what’s inside the bag before you leave.

Ordered my food via Postmates and when my food was delivered I almost drove back to this restaurant to complain about how horribly ripped-off I was. First, they used the wrong noodle(phở noodles) for the beef stew and there was literally no real beef parts; the bowl was full of vegetables. This dish was ordered for my boyfriend, he’s 180 lbs — let me tell you, this guy hardly ever complains about his food yet, he was NOT happy with what he got — and was left hungry. Secondly, I got a beef phở and tripe and there were maybe three fledgling pieces of tripe lost in a sea of broth. My food looked like it was ordered for a vegan, nothing but noodles, soup, and vegetables. I’m all 90 lbs and this wasn’t enough to quench my appetite. That speaks volumes. Can’t believe I paid $ 41 for this sh*t. Who pays for $ 41 worth of food and feel completely hungry and dissatisfied? That is either ironic or simply put, the restaurant just didn’t give a crap about quality and service because I wasn’t physically in the shop for them to care so they thought they could get away with being total sh*theads? Never eating here again.

This was my first Doordash delivery of the day. The food smelled so good I decided to comeback before my next round of orders. I ordered the pork noodle plate and a Thai tea. I’m a small girl and finished it all. Great spot, I’ll be back here for sure!

We ordered the Vietnamese Steamed Chicken Banh Mi and the Traditional Vietnamese Sandwich from Door Dash and they were both completely inedible. The ‘steamed chicken’ inside both the sandwiches was grey and freaky sliced mystery meat — definitely not steamed and definitely not chicken. If Unilocal had the feature, I would upload a picture of both sandwiches here so you could see for yourself. I’m not sure if it was because we ordered from Door Dash, or they ran out of ingredients, or the chef was sick that day but I won’t be ordering from or going in to this restaurant anytime soon.

Great for a quick bite! Big Bites offers big portions for a low price. You’ll be spending under $ 10 for a huge portion of phở or noodles. The food is standard Vietnamese cuisine with nothing particularly noteworthy other than consistent quality in most of their dishes. The décor is also a bit odd as it feels like Big Bites kept the décor of their previous establishment and added their own. The whole restaurant feels less like a dining experience and more of a mall food court, but it’s great for when you need a bite quick in the middle of chores.

No amount of condiments can save your food here. Turn around and save your money. Came here for the very first time today and was highly disapointed on the price, the food portion, and the food. I love me a good seafood phở and is my usually order anywhere I go. This is possibly the most I have ever payed for a small, very, very small seafood phở EVER! All the contents fit in a to go side salad container for $ 13! Thats even more expensive than a large seafood phở at any other place I’ve been to. Insult to injury it was a pile of imitation crab accompanied by two shrimps and a small crab claw in warm(not hot) bath water. I expect some imotation crab, but not as much as this place uses. The $ 13 does not come with flavor so if you like being ripped off, shorted on flavorless portions, this is the place for you!

My first time trying Vietnamese sandwiches, and I’m hooked! I got the Saigon style pork sandwich and it was great from the first bite to the last! Cooked really well, garnished with fresh veggies, simply a great value for the price! I’m not super adventurous, so it may take me a minute to try some of the more ‘traditional’ dishes they offer. But if they’re all as good as my first experience I’ll certainly be working my way through the menu! See you again soon Big Bites!

I grabbed take out here for lunch on the way to the office and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered bun(I swear I did because I was craving it for days) and got com tam. Disappointing for sure. However, the food I did get was good. I would have liked spicier and better hot sauce. I will stop in again for lunch. Hopefully I will get the correct things next time.

Very yummy! I manage catering for my company, and each Wednesday we do group orders — where 4 different restaurants drop off food at about the same time. It’s a tall order to manage, but restaurants like Big Bites makes it all the more easier! Their presentation is excellent. They really think about dishes and pack them up well for catering needs. They offer delicious food, I personally tried one of their Vietnamese sandwiches — which I LOVED! And even their sweet potato fries were great. The food was well received by all, and definitely one we will look forward to using again in the future!

Vietnamese sandwiches, rice plates, vermicelli plates, salads and noodle soups are on the menu at this place. It’s not a full service restaurant, making it a perfect place for a quick bite and casual meal. I wanted to get something quick, so it was a good choice for lunch. I ordered the Grilled Pork Sandwich and the Eggroll. Both were cooked to order, but they came out pretty fast. Definitely less than 15 minutes. I like the Eggroll a lot. It was tasty. Two came in an order and both we’re quite substantial in size. The sandwich was okay. The meat filling was tasty but the sandwich needed more tang and heat. I’m also used to the crispy on the outside and airy in the inside baguette for my banh mi. Their baguette is denser and a little chewier. Next time I’d like to try their noodle soup. People in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying their phở.
