Good coffee. But lousy attitude by the servers and baristas! The guy actually shouted at me. When I told him I would complain, the guy actually said I could complain all I wanted. Never coming here again, for sure.

Friendly indie neighborhood coffee joint! Excellent coffee, super nice baristas, pleasant atmosphere. The food selection is a bit limited — better for snacks than full meals — but tasty, and there are several restaurants on the same block. There are also souvenirs and cards for sale, sometimes from local artists — something which I’ve never seen in any coffee shop before but are pleasantly quirky. There are a bunch of seats, and free wifi, but not many outlets. Your best bet is to bring a fully charged laptop if you’re planning to stay and work a while.

I try not to write negative reviews and hopefully I am not overreacting but I will definitely never come here again. This is my second time coming here and I was planning on getting some work done. I arrive at 6:50pm without knowing when hey close. Seemed to me that it would be open for a bit longer but I was mistaken. Perhaps that was my fault for not knowing. Anyways. I go up to the counter and I’m greeted by a annoyed cashier. I go ahead and order a shake. I clearly have my laptop and books in my arms but the cashier says nothing. Waits to finish the transaction and as she walks away tells me they are closing in 10 minutes. Ok that sucks. Mah bad. I should have checked to see when they close. Nbd. So I stop her and ask her for a refund telling her that I didn’t know they were closing so soon. And the girl had the nerve to roll her eyes at me and tell me «well it’s all over the signs on the door!» I hate being rude to cashier and servers(my wife was a server all through college and when we were dating) but when I am met with this type of rudeness it was enough to piss me off. I calmly told her that I would have appreciated it she told me before hand. That she could have assumed that I planned to stay for a while since I had my laptop and books with me. Either way this encounter has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never come back. Their coffee is just decent at best anyways.

Nice looking coffee shop and the coffee is okay but the service is rude. Wont stop by here anymore.

It’s a cute, comfortable looking place. Yes, it looked quite inviting on a cloudy, gray afternoon, especially to someone who’d been running errands for hours and was hoping to relax a bit with a cup of something before moving on. Alas, looks can be deceiving. Before settling down and deciding what to order, first things first: I needed to use the restroom; I mean, one does like to wash one’s hands and, well, relieve oneself first before eating/drinking, right? Nope. I looked around first to see if the location was immediately apparent; it wasn’t. I asked, and was soundly admonished: NOPUBLICRESTROOM! Now, that was strange. Public restroom? Inside a business? That was a non sequiter. What do the customers use? Whatever. I no longer wanted to be a customer; being treated in such a manner was too much of a turnoff. The extra star is because it still looks like a nice place — if you’re an alien and don’t have a bladder or a colon!

This makes a nice contrast to the über busy hipster infested spots in downtown mountain view. It’s a nice melllow neighborhood coffee shop. The good-it’s mellow. Not too much of a line at any time, plenty of inside and outside seating. Prices are the standard for the area, 3 – 5 dollars for a coffee and a sweet depending. The breakfast menu is a little bit fuller then expected with bagels and oatmeal options. The bad– Nothing outstanding on the menu. Nothing really bad nothing totally awesome. Same for the service. You won’t be treated like scum, but you won’t be treated like family either.

I absolutely love coffee and going to new and different coffee shops. It’s a cute coffee shop. They have gifts you can buy near the front registers. I came in on super, rainy day. There weren’t that many customers, maybe because it was raining. But, they were quick with my order. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato. It was pretty good. I would say average. I only order caramel macchiatos once in awhile at coffee shops because they are super sweet. Overall, I had an okay experience.

Pretty terrible cappuccino. Overfrothed and terribly hot. Served in a paper cup even after ordering for here.

Place is nice if a bit to cluttered with many shelves and tables of merchandise. The two ladies working were nice and friendly so had a good first impression. The biggest issue for me giving this two stars was that they had two very large steel containers of milk that were just sitting there not refrigerated that they re-steamed to make my coffee. This was a negative in two ways. The first is that it just does not end up tasting fresh to have milk re-steamed and second I have no idea how many times it was re-steamed and long it was sitting there not refrigerated. I was the only customer so reason why they could not have used fresh milk. The lady with the european(UK?) accent making the latte also grabbed my cup finger in the cup style, which was also not sanitary.

Sometimes I’ll stop by here if I get to work a little early and need a pick me up for the day. Workers are always pretty cheerful and friendly, but their coffee is always pretty basic and is never hot when I order my drink hot. A couple times it was actually pretty cold or Luke warm and I’ve had to ask them if it could be hotter — which they’re always willing to do — but I wish I didn’t have to so many times. Overall, I come here for the convenience of it being so close to my work and the customer service, I just wish the product they serve was better.

Unfortunately I recently had a terrible customer experience at this coffee shop. As my friend was purchasing coffee for us, I asked about using the restroom. An employee abruptly told me «There are NO public restrooms!» and walked away. He would have no idea that I was a customer or not. I then went to the register where my friend was purchasing coffee and asked about the restrooms, again. This time the lady at the register very politely unlocked the restrooms for me. The terrible attitude of the scolding employee will probably deter me from coming here again.

Pretty average coffee place The wait staff are nice, which is good. The coffee quality is also ok – pretty much what you’d expect. The inside is kind of unique, with the entire place being a «souvenir shop» and a «coffee shop» at the same time. There is a reasonable number of tables inside. The wifi definitely sucks. It loads Google very quickly, but all other sites seem to be blocked. I tried clicking on results from Google searches for half an hour and they are all blocked with a «security cannot proceed message». Even major sites like are blocked. In the end I had to switch coffee shops, and everything worked, so I am fairly certain this Clocktower place blocks sites in their wifi system Also while I was typing away, I saw a MOUSE running around in the outdoor coffee tables, nibbling on some kind plastic food wrapper. They really should make sure the place is not mouse-infested :) Overall, would not recommend going to this place.

Very cute but it’s not a very friendly place. I don’t think I’ve seen staff smile(at least not to me). You have to ask permission to use the bathroom. Today, I asked for a wifi password after having coffee with a friend, and they confirmed whether I was a customer before giving it to me. My husband just doesn’t come here any more. They don’t seem to want you to be here beyond grabbing a quick cup of coffee.

The Good: + Quick, no frills coffee. + Will have most your standard coffee needs if you’re in a rush. + Free wifi(fast). + Fills up slower than Starbucks for study space etc(kind of tucked away in a nondescript plaza). The Not So Good: — Tastes very similar to Starbucks(which could be a pro if that is your thing). Bottom Line: Don’t expect a gourmet cup of joe, but definitely miles ahead of the communal pot of coffee at work.

Clocktower café is a gem in the rough ;) it’s a fun cosy café where you can hangout with friends, chill and read a book, work using the free wifi(much better than wifi provided by Starbucks in my opinion) or even have fun shopping the most interesting little items. Clocktower serves one of the best ice matchas(green tea latte) in town! And they have the nicest baristas :) not grumpy, quick with the orders and friendly. I always leave Clocktower feeling happy. If you want an added dimension to your day, grab your coffee/tea at Clocktower!

Clocktower is a favorite nearby café for my colleagues and me to grab a cup of joe during our breaks. They have a great variety of coffees, teas and fruit smoothies. But I wanted to specifically mention their excellent service. Yesterday, I called in an order of 15 different drinks that needed to be ready by 12:15pm for pick-up. My colleagues and I were working an extra long day and needed the fuel to be ready and awake for our evening meeting. I cringed when I made the call, thinking I was a barista’s nightmare. But I was incredibly pleased with Antoinette’s courteous professionalism and her reassurance that my ridiculously large order would be ready at the requested time. Just as my colleague and I walked in, we were wondering how we were going to carry and transport 15 drinks back to work, when we saw a neatly arranged tray of drinks(with covered straws and stoppers no less — it’s the details!) waiting for our pick up. Antoinette and Nikki(I think?) met us with big smiles and asked if there was anything else? And indeed, yes, I had two more drink orders to add(no, I’m not an addict, I swear). Wow… we were in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. My colleagues and I were so happy with our drinks. All 17 of them, were made to order right down the single shot of sugar-free caramel with extra whipped cream(who does that??) And, get this, NOTONESINGLESPILL in my brand new car. We will definitely go back just for the service alone. Antoinette, you are awesome. Thanks again for making our extra long work day just a bit more enjoyable.

Clocktower is a good place to grab coffee. I passed through this mall area to get something before continuing on a road trip. What I found peculiar was that a number of German treats were available at the counter: Kinder, Ritter Sport, Hanuta, etc. Apparently it has to do with their distributor and the fact that a lot of their customers study at a German International School nearby(no surprise with the conversations flowing throughout the space). My order consisted of an ice blended drink and a pricey tea cake. The coffee was better than the pastry. Service was fine as they dealt with a sizable number of patrons. Plenty of seating both inside and out and the atmosphere is nice.

I stopped by for a shot of espresso: They roast their own beans. It’s very good: dark, nutty, and chocolately: there is very little sourness. That’s a refreshing break from the overly sour/cirtusy espresso you get at every 3rd wave coffee joint. The shot has good balance, however, the range is somewhat limited: it’s not so limited that it’s just«strong regular coffee», but it does prevent it from approaching god shot quality. A respectable shot, and you also get a larger than typical volume, even though it was just a single shot. Very high in caffeine. For Mountain View, my favorite espresso shots are this place, the Bicycle espresso at La PanotiQ bakery, and the Equator organic decaf at Alexander’s Patisserie.

This is a cute little coffee shop, but definitely not anything coffee wise to write home about. I came here because it was convenient and on my way to dinner when I could grab a quick coffee since I really needed the caffeine. The staff were friendly, and there’s plenty of hang out seating inside although I didn’t see if they had a lot of plugs or outlets for computer use. There are a lot of snacks and other things you can grab here if you’re hungry and plenty of pastries to choose from. Overall, nothing too special, but definitely convenient and plenty of parking.
