Smaller liquor store but still plenty to choose from. Staff is friendly and prices are very affordable. Once I came and an employee was watching me very closely while I was looking at a case of beer to select so I thought that was kind of creepy and invasive. But other than time time it is usually a good experience which is quick and affordable. Easy to access since off of el Camilo limited parking spaces but I usually tend to always get a spot so hasn’t been an issue for me.

Let me explain why Clyde’s deserves 4 stars! I’m here a couple times a month on business. I would like a beer for my hotel room so I go to Clydes. Good selection, average prices, friendly service. Yes, the dude walks around watching me… It’s a liquor store… his profits are taken often I’m certain. I grab a Ben & Jerry’s pint as well and enjoy the banter. No idea about the food coach outside but I always see people eating there. My risk taking has limits :)

I live down the street from this place and EVERYTIME I GOHERE the man ringing me up is A RUDEJERK about my ID. I am 21 and have been for six months. EVERYSINGLETIME I GOHERE, he accuses my id of being fake. This time he asked me if it was my sister in the picture. THEPICTURELOOKSJUSTLIKEME. I got the picture taken six months ago. IDENTICAL. not to mention its the NEWIDS so I dont even think there is a FAKEOUTFORTHEMYET!!! If he thinks the ID is fake, don’t sell me alcohol. that I am okay with. I can go to safeway. But questioning me and trying to catch me in some sort of «LIE» OVERANDOVERAGAIN is just bull and after the fifth time I will never go here every again. Screw this place.

An old school liquor store that’s held this spot as long as I can remember living out here. THey carry a bevy of liquid refreshment and some strange non alcoholic ones that is just up my alley. The guy working was friendly enough though I think he was sizing me up as someone who might be casing the place. Prices are a bit high but it’s the local dive booze stop of the area.

If you’ve ever stayed at the Holiday Inn Express nearby, Clyde’s is a handy place. Decent selection of single malts, a couple of surprising Bourbons, good tequila array, and a chill chest with a couple of acceptable beers. That’d only get it 2 stars, but the guy who runs the place(who I think is not, or at least no longer, Clyde) earns an extra one. He is talkative, and happy to make recommendations that are actually pretty okay. More than once, I’ve learned things about the liquor store business chatting with him(«Nope, a store like this, nobody buys Bowmore. Can’t sell the stuff. People who want that go to BevMo or the city») — he really defies the liquor & check cash clerk stereotype, makes the place almost inviting. Nothing remarkable, but you can get something here that you can drink, and if you’re at the Holiday Inn, the beer will still be cold when you get to your room.
