Dan Salzberg’s Radiant Heating Service

When in an emergency my radiant system was making a terrible noise, Dan returned my call within a minute to help. He was familiar with my Munchkin system and walked me through what to do and how to turn the system off. He was thoughtful, calm and professional. Though we do not live within the area, he referred me to someone else close by who could service my system. I wish I lived within his service area.

Got a strange gurgling sound in my Eichler’s radiant heating. Called Dan. He said he would be there between 11 and 1. He was here at 11:15, did a good job, replaced a small piece, emptied some air that had gotten in, (possibly when I had some hot water heating system issues). It all worked. He explained everything he was doing very thoroughly.
Also he pointed out where I should replace some screening on the door to the heating equipment to keep out critters that might ruin pipes or something, measured the air spaces and told me where to go and what to get to do it myself.
Very reasonable price considering the time it took.

Everything the 5 star reviews say about Dan is true. He is «the authority» on radiant heat. He explains what the problem is and how he will fix it in a very easy to understand way. Always calls before coming and shows up promptly. He just repaired and cleaned our 50+ Eichler heater and it is humming with happiness! His prices are amazingly reasonable and he is trustworthy and honest. We are so glad he was recommended to us!

Dan has been servicing my Eichler home boiler for years now. When other radiant heating companies including Lipp recommended changing it, he did not and has been proven right after all these years. He is prompt, reliable, courteous and very efficient. I recommend him highly!

Dan is simply amazing. On top of just being such a clearly honest and trustworthy guy who really knows his business, Dan helped us sort out a misdiagnosed and previously denied insurance claim. He even talked to the insurance rep himself. The only problem with Dan is that he is so good he is in high demand– he will do his best to see you asap, but don’t hesitate to call him to make an appointment as soon as you can.

I needed his service when my system didn’t run anymore after the summer break. He could fix it quickly and checked the whole system. Dan has an incredible knowledge of the radiant heating systems used in the area. Even that it was a very busy time at the start of the heating season he was able to come in between some other appointments.
And a union was leaking. Probably because of a bad job done by the other radiant heating company when they did a pressure test before the house was sold. He came back a few days later and fixed it too.

I’ve used Dan Salzberg to maintain the 60-​year-​old radiant heating system in my Eichler for 10 years, and I whole-​heartedly recommend his service. He is technically very knowledgeable, extremely accommodating, and, in my experience, adequately responsive.
Dan Salzberg IS Salzberg Radiant Heating, and that is precisely why I work with him. Before Dan was recommended to me by a neighbor, I tried several other radiant heating services, and I hosted a steady stream of technicians who were half-​guessing at what they were doing and salespeople who glanced at my aging system and then launched into a sales pitch about how a new $ 10,000 to $ 20,000 system would solve all my problems. Thanks, but no thanks. Dan works. He gets down on his hands and knees and actually cleans, adjusts, replaces, repairs, and does whatever it takes to keep my system functional at a fair and reasonable cost.
If you are in need of radiant heating service and you value experience and craftsmanship, I highly recommend giving Dan Salzberg a call. He will be there as soon as he is able, and he is worth waiting for.

I’m obliged to use Dan’s services, as he is the contractor for my complex in Santa Clara. In the past 4 years, I needed his services about four times.
Not even once it was prompt; not even once it was on-​time. Think being cold through a couple of cold winter nights; think waste of working hours waiting…
While I have no doubt in his technical skills and knowledge, I can’t recommend the service.
What prompt this review is the fact the since I called for service on Sunday night, I have yet to hear back from Dan.
So far, haven’t received even a call to acknowledge the open support ticket, let alone intent to schedule an appointment. Being the ONLY provider, with no competition, gives Dan the ability to deprive me of heating. and i don’t really care how many other service calls he has. he can always hire and train help.
I’m told that the complex manager called twice for this ticket. I called too. So far, nothing.

Dan has serviced our radiant heating a few times now and he is trustworthy and very knowledgeable. He is the only one we’ll call for our heater!

I called Dan Salzberg Heating when one zone of the radiant heating in my home went out. Dan returned my call promptly and was at my home the next day. He quickly figured out what the problem was, replaced a zone pump and examined the entire system for any other issues. He was easy to work with, explained the problem in terms a «non-​plumber» could understand and was very efficient. I would highly recommend his services.
