iCracked Professional iPhone, iPod and iPad Repair

I cannot say enough great things about this company. I was at happy hour, my phone slipped off the table, and cracked. My first iPhone and it cracked. texted my boyfriend saying, hey don’t be mad… next thing I knew I got a text from «icracked» still being at happy hour. I thought apple actually texted me, freaked out for a second then my boyfriend fessed up. Fast fwd–
For those of us in the tech field, time is something we never have (among those in other jobs I’m sure). Brian was the tech who came out to my office, he texted me, I asked when he had time– thinking it would be a week before I could get him in. Took him 15 minutes to get to my office in Sunnyvale SAME DAY, he was very professional, sat at an empty desk right next to me and got right to work. I kept saying, I’m sorry this if the first time I ever broke my phone, I know its bad (thinking it was the worst thing ever) he happily said «its not that bad”(lying I’m sure, but it was appreciated). As I was busy typing away at my desk within about 10 mins he said «ok all done!» I was thinking, oh he’s done getting off the screen, awesome, no. this guy was done-​done! Put on a nice durable screen protector too!
For those of you who think $ 150 is steep, you pay for the curbside assistance and for those of us that work in a fast paced atmosphere, thats worth all the $! The friendliness and professionalism was definitely the cherry on top.
If I ever happen to break my phone again, I need not worry-​its a no brainer… IF ;)
Also I do believe he said lifetime warranty guarantee!!! (maybe that was wishful thinking) haha

So I had a technician come out June 8 to fix my cracked iPhone 6 screen. Right after he left I noticed that there was a blue dot on the screen and that the bottom right of the screen was not secure and could be pushed in and out. With the exception of that, my phone was in perfect working condition. After a little schedule coordination, I had my warranty approved and another technician came out and attempted to take care of the warranty claim for me in the middle of June. After about an hour, he let me know that a part was damaged in the disassembly process and he would have to take it in to Headquarters to replace it. After a four days without having a phone, not being able to work remotely, and trying to email back and forth with iCracked multiple times to figure out the status of my phone, I finally got my phone back.
Now, a couple months later, my phone display has stopped working. My iPhone overheated, as they do from time to time, and the display hasn’t functioned since. The phone seems to be in fine working order with the exception of the screen not being able to power on. The last thing I want to do is have to go through iCracked again for this repair but my hands are tied as now Apple won’t touch it since it was poorly attempted to be repaired by a third party already. Some advise, just take your phone to Apple.

What Warranty?
I recently had my iPad screen replaced. After letting is sit for 24 hours I picked up iPad and the brand new screen promptly cracked. There appears to have been a small area that had not adhered properly and merely picking the pad up with a finger over the area caused the screen to crack. When I filed a warranty request with iCracked I received the following response:
«Thank you for taking time to submit the Warranty Repair Form. Unfortunately, frame damage and subsequent cracks is not covered under our lifetime warranty (
). If you would like, I am more than happy to arrange another repair for you or I can offer you a 25% off discount on our mail-​in repair service. «
So basically there is no warranty…
The Technician was prompt courteous and efficient. Unfortunately due to the adhesive cure time (8 hours) there is no way for him to check his work on a house call basis.

Would give 10 if I could!!! Great service! Fast repair! Knowledgable staff!
On top of all that… I dropped my credit card outside of the store in the street… The staff found my card, held it for me and even waited after the store was supposed to be closed for me to come get it.
Affordable, Reliable, Trustworthy!

I hesitate to give a business a one star but I feel that this business could use the feedback. I am sure the actual service is 5 stars based on all the other reviews (and Unilocal has rarely failed me before) but I never got to that point. I have called their number to get a quote to repair a cracked screen and have not gotten a call back from them. I called and left messages 2 days in a row and never heard back. Disappointed.

Okay. So. Here’s the deal:
I’ve taken apart phones before and fixed screens and what not, but my phone wouldn’t turn on and I didn’t want to just buy random parts to try and fix it. I searched the internet, couldn’t find the answer. I called Mike, he came to my work and fixed it. A great guy!
But.when I came back to check on the progress as he was putting it back together there was screws and one of the shield pieces on the platform that he was working on. He said that oh yeah these are from a previous job cause sometimes I drop pieces and just use one of mine. HOWEVER, I just took apart my iPhone to replace the battery and realized that those pieces WERE actually from MY phone. I don’t have the shield or the three screws now. I understand that those pieces are not completely necessary for the phone. But the fact is. that he lied.
And so my point is be realistic and acknowledge the fact that: EVERYBODY LIES.

Wow. Not sure what else to say. From my initial contact to my iPhone 5 looking better than new… they replaced my screen with what I think is a better one… was probably 5 hours. And the kicker, they came to me.

Loved the convenience and quickness this service! Matt was great and even fixed the cracked white part under the glass… all for near the cost of if I had taken it in somewhere else. I can;t imagine fixing my phone any other way from now on.

Matt absolutely saved my rear end. I operate entirely from my phone and ipad, and when my iphone suddenly stopped working, he came to the rescue. I have a new puppy so i have time out of the house planned and had almost no time to figure out when i could fit a visit to the store to fix this in short order. He came out the second he had an opening, swapped the fried battery and tested it immediately. absolutely saved me, I can not thank him enough. His rates are also MORE than reasonable.
His service is so good I took a stack of his cards and I am recommending him to every client where my company deploys apple products. THANK YOU!

Matt Jerome just fixed my iPhone 5 speaker. Ever wonder how annoying it would be to have to use a headset or speaker phone when answering your calls? Well let’s just say it’s VERY annoying.
He came to my office, setup his repair kit and within 30 minutes he was out the door and I saved me from a $ 700 expense for a new phone. In addition to fixing the phone, he was eager to show me some of the parts I’ve experienced issues with in the past. This guy knows his stuff without question AND he’s super nice.

Matt Jerome just finished replacing my cracked iPhone 5S screen. I broke it on Christmas Eve with direct drop face down on my granite kitchen floor and the screen was smashed right a way. I found ICracked on Unilocal and sent an online request. 15 mins later there’s a automatic text message sent to my cell to confirm receipt and assignment of a local tech to call me ASAP. Next day on Christmas Day, Matt Jerome called and texted me. He patiently gave me thorough information over the phone on his service and the part. I called other places in cupertino, Los altos, west San Jose, Palo Alto to inquire on cost to repair, it turns out either they don’t have the part and have to wait and place order, or they are at same price that Matt charges but the difference is Matt comes to your place to do the repair, which is a Big plus that I don’t have to drive to places.
Matt showed up right on time at my office. He explained details on how he will fix the phone and keeps me updated on each step he’s finishing on the repair. He got the repair done exactly as he quoted at 1 hour.
He’s very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he do and he’s a very respectful person. On the top of that, he’s very customer oriented, he makes sure i understand what he does and pays full respect to me and my iPhone 5S :)

I sent my inquiry before 6AM. I received a response w/​in an hour which is great however, poor communications w/​in their database left me to receive many texts from the various technicians even after it was fixed.
I searched for a place to replace my screen. My beloved iPhone 5 shattered all because I was too busy and too careless to put it back properly. I was working out, had a new routine but since I did not memorize it, I kept looking at my phone. My entire life is on my phone. I felt so incomplete w/​o it. My phone was working but shards of glass prevented me to do my usual w/​it.
Anyway.
A technician showed up at my work in the early afternoon. The good news was that the time to replace the screen was quick; less than 15 minutes. The bad, a tip is not required but suggested. I did tip since the service came to me. I swear, I simply have no time to be going about San Jose after work. I also did a few price comparisons. Everywhere was $ 150+.
My screen was replaced. My wallet suffered but I was happy to be able to text and stuff w/​o hurting my eyes. I was texting w/​my iPad the entire day and was tired of using it as my phone. After work comes, I plug my auxiliary cable in for my music — — nothing. Odd… I came home to try my ear piece — — nothing. I tried again w/​my workout headphones — — nothing. I contacted the technician that replaced my screen. He comes the next day (today) and told me he did nothing wrong and that the 5 has issues or rather «defects» w/​the plug.
If it was a defect, why did it stop working right after you replaced it? I was unhappy w/​the service after I paid a hefty price for a device that my life relies on. I went to Apple today (see picture of appt uploaded) and the verdict? DAMAGED from the inside. Thanks to Apple because they actually care about their customers, I received a brand new 5 w/​in 2 minutes.
This would have been a 4 or 5 star review if the technician took the time to look at my phone instead of testing it w/​my earpiece and his… obviously you damaged it. I am not a happy customer and will take my shattered phone (let’s hope never again) to another place that actually cares.

My friend, Colin Ford aka «the belly» cracked my iPhone screen while pissing himself. Anywho– Mr. Jerome came over to fix it the same day I called him and did an amazing Job. Was very professional and friendly. Total cost was 170 with tip for iPhone 5. Pretty steep but still a superb finished product for a stress free and quick iPhone cracked screen repair.

Dropped my iPad and cracked the glass. Within an hour or so, Matt was at my home ready to do the repair. He’s a lovely man, easy to be with, competent and trustworthy. He used to teach ethics to kids. My kind of guy! This is an amazing service.

I dropped my iPhone a few months ago and took it somewhere to be fixed. They did a good job, and they were nice enough. Then, clot that I am, I dropped my iPad. I was searching online for the same people and iCracked came up. Comparably priced, but they would come to me… at my convenience.
With a million things to take care of, I could totally go for someone coming to take care of my screen, rather than a trip to drop off and a trip to pick up!
Matt came on time, with a smile, and lots of cool information about the workings of my tablet. He didn’t mind at all that I watched over his shoulder, in fact seemed to enjoy sharing the cool insides and features, and pointed out interesting facts as he worked away. 40 mins later, my iPad is as good as new, and I know a LOT more about it now than I did before.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matt for any advice or repairs. I have his card — I WILL pass it around!

Love, love, love Matt! He came to my house, repaired both my iPhone and my iPad. He was pleasant, knowledgable and very enthusiastic about his job! He charged me less than what it would cost at the Verizon store to repair my phone. AND I was able to keep all my data. AND I did not have to wait two days to get my phone back from the store. AND I did not have to drive and wait at the store! All around the best service possible!
How can it possibly be any better! Plus, Matt fixing my iPad was a bonus! He fixed both devices in under 1.5 hours. I am very happy with Matt and his service! I highly recommend him!
