Unacceptable wait times. Restaurant has consistently been 20 – 60 minutes late on pick-up orders — You are probably better off arriving at the restaurant and ordering in person, as the pick-ups are only done after the lines are cleared out. Cleanliness is debatable as the wipe down the counter with the same towel repeatedly, and don’t wear gloves or put down liners on the service they prepare the food on.

My family and I are regulars to La Salsa. We have been coming here weekly since we moved to MV a year ago. Our experience with them has been excellent so far. Always clean, yummy food and great service. My son absolutely loves the kids’ burrito. He likes it so much that in a recent trip to Mexico, he asked where«La Salsa» was so he could eat his burrito! My husband and I have tried different dishes, and I am big fan of the Yucatan trio at the moment. Also, the staff at La Salsa has been consistently nice and courteous to us. Alberto, Yvonne, Denise and two other gentlemen(whose names I cannot recall) work very hard to keep this place running. They treat their costumers with respect and deserve my 5 stars. Keep up the good work!

I’ve only come here twice, but honestly, I really loved both times. It’s on the other side of town, but when I remembered it this last time, I knew I had to get it again. The service is swift, though they never seem to actually care that I am in front of them. Oh well. .. I’ve ordered the soup and salad to go both times. Tortilla soup — SUPER flavorful, zesty, and oh so good. Salad — light, fresh, and plenty of greens. Free chips — sure, why not? Inside is clean, vibrant, and I wouldn’t mind actually eating there at some point with my husband. Each time though, there seems to be a lot of single dudes ordering out or eating in. This could be a single girl’s pickup spot!!! Yummy healthy-ish lunch spot.

This is one of those times when I should have just turned around and walked away when I got to the entrance. First, the staff was involved in talking to each other and telling jokes, not serving customers. There were three diners ahead of me in line, and one cashier. The other employees gave us looks like they didn’t give a damn. When it was my turn to order, the cashier was unfriendly. I asked if I was supposed to dip my chip card, and he said I was supposed to slide it. I did what he said, and my card was rejected. Then a female employee told me that I was supposed to dip the card. When I dipped it, the transaction went through. The male cashier gave me a mean look, even though it was his misinformation that caused the payment processing delay in the first place. Well, after I sat down, it took close to 20 minutes to get my food. Yep, all the other diners had their orders ready way before me, even those that came in much later. Then I heard them say in Spanish that the cashier forgot to put my order in. The orders are sent from the cash register to a computer screen in front of the cooks, so what the heck? I ordered fish tacos, and I should have known that it was a bad sign when I heard the other orders being called out with descriptions when they were ready — no one else had ordered fish, so maybe they had really old frozen fish that was expired. Lucky me! And yes, it goes further downhill from here. Finally, my fish tacos were ready. The chips that came with them tasted stale, and the fish was tough. So how bad did it get? I had my lunch here around noon yesterday, and within 8 hours, I had food poisoning from both ends. TMI warning: four rounds of the runs, and three rounds of vomiting, plus chills. Not to mention being unable to sleep. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Most God-awful food poisoning of my life. I actually weighed myself afterwards, and I lost weight. I’m already rail-thin to begin with. How do I know it was their food? Because I didn’t eat anything else all day. You can bet that I will be writing to the local restaurant inspector about this. Summary — if you want fish tacos, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!

Low quality meat, lack of flavor. I agree with another reviewer: worse than Taco Bell…

I tried a chicken soft taco and a steak burrito. The portion size was generous and it tasted good :). Both orders came with a side of tortilla chips which were nice and crispy and well seasoned(though maybe a bit too oily). There were plenty of fresh salsa options and a few toppings available at the salsa bar, which was neat and clean. I definitely would check back again if I’m in the mood for tacos or burritos!

This is not about the food but about the service. The food here has always been awesome. I have been going here for years but will not be going back. I ordered my order to go and they put it up as a «dine in» order. I was happy to take it like that but wanted a piece of foil on the top. The girl working behind the counter took my plate back down on her side of the counter and continued to make the order she was already working on. I asked for a piece of foil again and said i just wanted to put it on the top. She still kept working on the other order. All she had to do was hand me a piece of foil. I asked for my plate back and she then completely ignored me and i had to raise my voice and ask again. She then just looked at me and continued to not hand me my plate. She was having an attitude and just stalling as long as possible. Very disappointed. If she is not happy there she should leave. I then called the restaurant and asked for a manager. She answered and funny but I got disconnected. I called two more times and finally got a manager and he actually was kinda yelling on the phone but maybe it was noisy where he was? Very bad experience and will not go there again.

Bad. Like worse than Taco Bell bad. The meat though on the grill right before the guy cut it was cold and chewy. The salsa bar is fine but the salsas suck. Bland and severely under seasoned. The quesadilla was already cold when I bit into it even though I live 5 minutes away. Go to Baja Fresh if it’s an option. Or jersey mikes if you’re in this shopping center contemplating lunch options.

We walked in and walked out… filthy establishment. I wouldn’t let my dog eat there. Shame on you… the floor was dirty, nasty.

Had some time at lunch, so drove by really quick here. Ordered their chicken taco salad. A lot better than UnaMas. Looked kinda like a chipotle, since you’re able to see them prep your food. You don’t get to tell them what you want on your food item though. Shell was huge, loaded w/black beans or pinto beans at the bottom, decent amount of lettuce, some cheese, guac, and your meat on top. Chicken was tastier and not dry like UnaMas. Salsa bar located inside w/pico, salsa, and pickled veggies. Great price for what you get!

My son and I decided to try this place. We ordered a chicken quesadilla and two tacos, no drinks $ 16, what!!! Seems really expensive, but when the order was brought to our table, wow!!! Amazing, the tacos were so large you couldn’t put your hand around it, the quesadilla was hot and thick with grilled chicken, very fresh and good. The salsa bar was good and very good selection. the only thing that dropped a star was using the mop in the kitchen and the dining big area, cross contamination. Need two different mops. Other than that great place, little pricey.

Considering how picky I am about my tacos, the shrimp tacos are this place were super good! You get some nachos on the side, and some salsa. Nice flavors, yummy shrimp and a good sturdy taco. I also tried the churro, which, I’ve had better but it was a nice snack. Friendly and fast, I’ll go back!

A cashier whose face looked like she did not want to work today, a plastic cup that had blue plastic residue at the bottom much to my surprise and disgust and a worker that didn’t even care to look when I showed him what was in the cup. The food was great, service; not so much.

We ordered off the catering menu for a family birthday party and La Salsa was absolutely perfect! Not only did they get everything exactly right and on time, they provided absolutely everything(we did a fajitas bar) so we just laid it all out and didn’t need to get any other supplies or supplement the meal in any way. Everyone was amazed at how delicious everything was. We did steak(most tender we’ve ever had) and chicken. Great flavors, and plenty of leftovers even. Will definitely recommend and use them for future parties. You just have to call the number and talk to the catering manager(they might have to call you back but they do so promptly). Not a huge number of things to choose from but that made it easier. Have never eaten in the restaurant but have been to several parties that used them which is why I knew to place the order.

We used to frequent La Salsa and the past year it has just gone downhill. It is a pity. We had a terrible experience a a few months ago – just really bad food. I forgot about this and went back this week. The chef first made us the wrong order. He then went on to fix it by shifting parts of my dish with another guest’s selection. It was all slapped on together and It looked disgusting on the plate. For me it is not just about the food – the service needs to be good and the presentation is important. I would NOT go here again.

Their California Burrito is delicious! The bits of avocado blended with black beans is just an amazing combination. The burrito comes with chips on the side, and they have a nice salsa bar to accompany your food. The burrito is also reasonably priced for the amount of food. Would I come back? Yes!

Way past prime; to the point of SCARY! I love the random hole in the wall discovery where clean and sanitary may not be the highest considerations… at least if the food is good. La Salsa however is not a hole in the wall it is a chain; thus you expect it to be clean, well maintained and at an acceptable level of freshness. Unfortunately this location delivers on none of these, it is dirty with sticky floors, peeling laminate and missing tiles everyplace. I had the Mexican Street Tacos which contained old dry meat in an old stale corn tortilla. The salsa bar was tired, with dry limes and slimy mango salsa. I had to try it due to the AL deal($ 25 certificate for $ 12 plus a $ 10AL credit = $ 2 out of my pocket) and closeness to home but honestly it wasn’t worth it. Sorry for the blunt review, but this is an old store in an old strip mall that needs to catch up to modern standards. I’m giving two stars because the staff was friendly despite where they are working. Cheers!

La Salsa serves up mediocre Americanized Mexican food. The last time that I stopped by here was at least 5 years ago, but the cheapness in me has brought me here because of an Amazon Local deal. This location is right on the corner of San Antonio and El Camino, within the same shopping center as Sprout. There are about 5 tables outside for when the weather is nice, and roughly 15 or so inside. The food here at La Salsa isn’t what I’d call authentic Mexican food, but then again it’s chain so what do you expect. I decided to go ahead and order a No Rice No Beans chicken burrito, and their version of Chipotle’s burrito bowl. Price-wise, it’s pretty on par with every taqueria in the area, but it doesn’t have that taqueria taste. My burrito came loaded with: chicken, corn, onions, bell peppers, and broccoli. Sounds like an interesting Tex-Mex combination, but it actually tasted decent. Perhaps on the blander side, but that was easily remedied with their salsa bar. Speaking of the salsa bar, La Salsa gives you about 5 different salsas to choose from. It’s all self serve, so don’t be shy if you want to take a bunch with you. Out of the ones that I tasted: Mango, Habanero, Guacamole, I preferred the guacamole salsa. Mango was a little too sweet, and the habanero was more sour than spicy. With their burrito bowl, it was loaded with pretty much the same stuff as my burrito, plus rice. With regards to portions, it was just on par with Chipotle, and perhaps a dollar cheaper too. Nonetheless, it was also a little on the bland side. I had to lather it with salsa just to spice things up. La Salsa, I guess, is your go to spot if you can’t make it to a taqueria, and you need something that resembles Mexican food. Compared to Chipotle, I’d say it all depends on how you feel that day, but at least Chipotle’s food is consistent. At La Salsa, I’m just not a big fan of bland food. Save yourself the trouble and just make that extra 2 – 3 minute drive to a taqueria.

We get catering from this location once in awhile at work. Burritos, tacos, salads, and an array of sides like cheese, salsa, onions, cilantro, rice and beans. Kind of nice so people can build their own salads as well. Food is decent, typical Americanized chain mexican food, reminds me a lot of Baja Fresh. Their delivery service is really good though, and prices are fair too.
