Liza Shiff, MD

Dr. Liza Shiff is more than just a capable, patient, and caring doctor. She is a true PARTNER to her patients. I have been seeing Dr. Shiff since 2006 with a short break for about 2 years. What impresses me the most is that she is ALWAYS up to date on the latest medical news, facts, and studies. She is technically savvy and she texts and emails regularly which makes her super-​responsive. She actually sends you articles and studies she finds that may relate to your issues. This woman cares ²⁴⁄₇! In July 2014 I was finally diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (high hereditary risk) I was overweight, my a1C was over 6 and my resting blood glucose level was 180 and I had high blood pressure.
Dr Shiff told it to me straight, put me on a plan and referred me to some amazing specialists. Her belief in my ability to correct my behavior and truly change my lifestyle, combined with her wonderfully real tips and guidance, inspired me to really do what she asked of me. 6 months later I had lost 45 pounds through a nutritionist that Dr. Shiff recommended, brought my a1C down over a full point, and brought my resting glucose reading to 116! I no longer struggle with high blood pressure and I feel amazing.
Dr Shiff was there every step of the way with encouragement, check-​ins, and regular support. Even just a quick «how are you doing» text kept me accountable and made me truly know that she cared. Her general demeanor and who she is as a person makes her The Best doctor I have ever been to — on either coasts!
I hope she stays in practice for a very long time as I can’t imagine any other doctor caring as much as she does. I wish everyone in this country could have access to a doctor like Dr. Shiff because everyone deserves a doctor like her. Also, she always has the best referrals and I would go to her for her referral opinions alone. I love Dr. Shiff and you will too!!!

Dr. Liza is the first doctor that I’ve had that seems to genuinely care about my well-​being as a patient. I’ve met friendly doctors and knowledgeable doctors, but it is amazing to actually come across a friendly and knowledgeable doctor who cares.
She successfully cured all my woes. I definitely would recommend her to anyone.

Great doctor! She is on top of the latest medical advances and spends whatever time is needed to discuss your concerns. She is open to alternative therapies and considers all options.
