Michael’s has really great food, at a very reasonable price. The vibe is casual, with outdoor seating next to the water and the golf course. Just a great place overall!

I had my daughter & son-in-laws couple baby shower here this past weekend. It went off almost perfectly! Carol and her staff were fantastic. They were attentive, gracious, and always checking with us to see if we needed anything and to make sure things were running smoothly. The banquet room(we used a double for a party of 42) were set up with white table clothes and place settings when we got there to do our additional decorations(we blew up balloons and safety pinned streamers to the serving table skirts). We had lots of space for the guests. We had 3 different hors d’oeuvres: bruschetta with tomato, cajun shrimp, german meatballs. They were all good and very tasty. We went with a sandwich buffet which came with a pasta salad and green salad. The staff brought out the first 2 of 3 trays and they went quickly and then they brought out the 3rd tray but most of the guests had moved over to the dessert table by then so we took home alot of leftover sandwiches. In hindsight, if all 3 trays had come out at the same time I suspect that I might have taken home less. I did bring in my own desserts. Carol had set up a dessert table so that I could set them up. She offered to have the staff set it up for me but I wanted to do this set up myself. I had several guests tell me how much they liked the facility, food, and ease of parking(ie, lots of free parking). Overall, it was a very pleasant, low stress experience with which all the arrangements were made and executed. I would recommend Michaels to anyone who is looking for a banquet facility for small to med sized parties and would use them again next time I have a special event. Thank you again to Carol and her staff for making our party special.

I recently had my 21st birthday party here on Nov.21st, 2015, everything went as we hoped it did. My mom couldnt find a beautiful venue to do my Party at untill I showed her the banquet hall inside of this restaurant, because I work right across from it at shoreline golf links. So we had my party and it was just beautiful, the food was so good and the hall was just perfect for 200 people. If your trying to throw a party with 200 people I would say throw it here!!!

***3.5 stars*** i came here for brunch with 3 friends since we had just finished a 3+ hour run at shoreline park, just a few hundred feet away. the lakehouse café is typically quite crowded, with a very long wait time, so wanted to try this restaurant instead. although parking is free in front of the restaurant, we decided to leave our cars at the shoreline lake/aquatic center parking lot and walk over… after all, what’s another couple hundred feet after a 20+ mile run? the interior is very nice and we saw that a baby shower was about to take place in one of the rooms adjacent to the restaurant/dining room. the restrooms were at the front of this building, near the entrance, and definitely well-maintained, suitable for such a nice venue. since we came around 11.30am, it was quite crowded in the dining area, but the line to order wasn’t too long, maybe 4 or 5 people in front of our group of 4. i actually didn’t want to order any standard items on the menu, but rather, i wanted to do a custom order, which the cashier was fine with. i chose the breakfast burrito, but instead of having it with the default eggs, chorizo, beans, and cheese, i asked for the tortilla wrap to be filled with egg whites, bell peppers, mushrooms, spinach, onions, and cheese. i was charged the same amount as the regular breakfast burrito, $ 9.95, and told that my order also came with a small side of fruit… this was perfect as i just about to ask for a side of fruit with my meal! the cashier gave me a buzzer, i paid with credit card(note that they only accept credit card for orders over $ 5) and sat down at a table for 4 by the window. a few moments later, my buzzer rang, and i went up to the«hot order pickup» to retrieve my plate filled with a cup of fruit and breakfast burrito, sliced in half. there was also a small saucer with salsa, but after a small taste with the tip of my fork, i realized that it was way too spicy for me, so i pushed it aside. the burrito was piping hot, temperature-wise, which was a good sign, and perfect for this cool autumn day. i tried to eat it with my hands, but it kinda fell apart after a few bites and was dripping with a bit of oil and water from the ingredients inside. so i had to resort to using a fork for a burrito, not something that i generally like to do. the second half turned out to be easier to consume with my hands as the tortilla and ingredients stuck together much better. the mix of eggs, veggies, and cheese was definitely adequate, but this wasn’t something that i was incapable of making for myself at home. as for the chunks of melon and pineapple in the small cup, it was fairly fresh, but nothing to write home about. for mountain view, and a location with a view of the golf course, i think my breakfast plate was pretty good value for the money paid, but service was almost non existent since everything was self-serve after i placed my order, i.e. getting a glass of water, grabbing napkins and utensils. with a nicer interior, gorgeous views, a shorter wait and better prices than the lakehouse café, i’d probably choose this venue over its competitor, just a couple hundred feet away.

My wife and I had our wedding reception at Michael’s at Shoreline Restaurant and do not regret it a single bit. Carol was awesome and took care of everything from helping with our cake order to arranging our flowers and placing our favors and other items on the tables. The food was great and the staff working our reception was awesome. The buffet platter and drinks were laid out perfectly, allowing our guests to easily grab what they needed. Did I mention the food was awesome?! Another thing that made this perfect spot to hold our location was the golf course scenery. This made for some really awesome reception photos. Also, the cost at Michaels was extremely reasonable and very worth it, given what we got in return. All and all, you can’t go wrong having an event, or even just going out to eat, at Michael’s at Shoreline. Great food and top notch service.

Had a joint birthday party here last weekend… For the cost I was disappointed. Utensils and glasses were dirty. I found lipstick on my coffee cup, and other coffee cups around the table were dirty as well. Gross! I picked the cleanest one, but ended up fishing out a gnat out of my glass. Punch glasses were dirty as well. Food was good, but the staff were rushing, picking up plates before people were done and cleaning up the buffet before I could get seconds! You’d think that they would offer a take home option since you pay for a set amount of food. Chairs, paint, and décor are also very dated. Choose another location for a large party!

I’ve been to Michael’s a couple of times for family celebrations/events, and I have always had a great time at this restaurant. I love the fact that it’s close to home, within the Peninsula and that it’s in a nice location. I have always enjoyed the food there, and have no complaints. Their buffet is great! It’s a good place to have events at– clean and a good space. I have been here to celebrate a wedding, and grad parties, and all events everyone was able to sit and move around comfortably. The balcony is a plus! I would def book an event here in the future.

Went to a retirement party there. Food was horrible – all deep fried, straight out of the freezer pack. Would NEVER go back. Wanted to check other options on banquet menu, but that web page is inoperable – poor showing all around.

There was a New Year’s Eve celebration to which I was invited at Michael’s. The restaurant is located at the very end of the Mountain View Shoreline just next to the Golf course. The facility is extraordinary convenient, spaceful, very well equipped to connect a laptop to project slides, play music, but also to setup a Karaōke. The food and wines were fantastic. The service were outstanding and very attentive at all times.

I would give it 4 stars, except lately we have found lipstick stains on our water glasses. Yuk! Do they not use soap for washing dishes here?

Bad food. Old crowd. Older than me and I’m 60. Their tastebuds must be shot. Avoid and go to any fast food. Believe it or not, McD’s is better!

Best tuna melt I had in a long while! The turkey burger was a bit dry. Fries were super good. I killed it! View was relaxing. After the meal you probably don’t want to go back to work. Recommend to come earlier than noon for lunch since they’re packed at noon!

This restaurant is adjoining the golf course and it has outdoor seating where you can enjoy some scenic views of a small lake and holders. This is not a sit-down restaurant; rather, you order at the counter and the staff pages you when your food is ready. They offer a wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, salad, and the like. We ordered the hot dog with fries from the kids meal, Philly cheesesteak with fries and bowl of soup which came with a large bread roll. The meal cost $ 22 total for 3 people which was reasonable. My wife liked the soup but I found the cheesesteak bland, dry, and over seasoned. There was not enough cheese, although there were good portions of fries included.

Went here for the first time for my niece’s 18th birthday. The hall was nice, not too big or to small for the event. The staff was friendly and pleasant. The appetizers write adequate. Nothing too big and heavy before dinner. The food for our dinner was better than expected. I had the meat dish ans my wife had the chicken which waste both tasty and nicely cooked. My girls were too busy dancing all night so the didn’t touch their food. The waiter packed their plates to go, and I ate their veggie pasta dish later that night and it was also very good. The drinks from the bar served it’s purpose, and the drinks weren’t overpriced. Bottled beers were $ 4 each. Overall my family had a good time here.

Every time I come here it is an experience — full of surprises — and always fun. It makes me happy when I’m greeted with a friendly, welcoming, cheerful«Hello, my friend!» — and this happened to me the second time I came in. How could you not want to return after that? I get a kick out of the service, which is actually hit or miss in terms of accuracy(more often than not, an order will get confused). Somehow it adds to the charm. With good nature all around, none of it matters. The patio outdoors with the view of the pond is so pleasant and relaxing. Best kept secret in Mountain View!

As an event space, this was just okay. The view was nice, but I couldn’t help but shake the idea that it wasn’t the BEST view around here. The room was very common. The setup was pretty typical. The bathrooms weren’t particularly large or nice. The food the catering brought was pretty average. The definition of three-stars.

Had a wonderful time at a college mixer here. It’s a beautiful location on a golf course just north of the Googleplex in Mountain View. The views are lovely and I saw several birds, including geese and a persistent little red-winged blackbird. There is plenty of parking and outdoor seating, and the banquet room we were in had enough room for about 50 people. There was a bar area and tables for appetizers, which were good quality and both veg and non-veg. Getting there is not hard(google maps gets you there easily) but I got a bit nervous the last quarter mile or so when it seemed the road was leading nowhere!

Nice self service Golf restaurant. I like it because they propose different menus each day and they are not pretending to be a fancy place or something. It is rather casual; they have a nice bar, a friendly(and hard working) staff. You can eat outside facing a fake little lake and the golf course. They have good burgers and the chinese chicken salad is my favorite one. The one thing I don’t enjoy there are the deserts :) They are not too tasty, except the muffins(poppy seeds and walnut Banana… I guess they are from Costco, but they’re good!) Their paninis are usually tasty. I had some not too good surprises with some menus(like pasta strogonoff)… I mean it was«OK». Anyways, I usually enjoy going there.
